I've done 3 runs to the scrap yard clearing out a garage, 0.75 of a ton in scrap and a fair amount of brass, copper, lead and batteries. Brought in about £200 :)

Just wondering about the wire on the exercise machine, other scrapers have said their yards won't take them unless they're cut up as they tangle in the crushing machines.
My yard told me this and chain link fence is ok but they did say mattress springs are a pain in the arse.

Poly, quick question, is there a reason why you dont just move stuff out the way on the piles? week in week out you struggle and fight to pull stuff from under or around things and i can help but think to myself "just move it out the way, get the stuff you want and put it bac afterwards"?

Why don’t you take dehumidifiers? They are essentially the same as air conditioners?
They don’t have any of the cooling equipment like compressor and radiator with copper piping.
