Bruno was immense last night. His 15 goals and 12 assists this season do not begin to describe how much he means to the team. Reactionary pundits spend so much time focusing on his “petulance” that they don’t even realize he literally has played the most minutes of any elite level footballer in Europe. Bruno wants it and his mentality is elite no matter how much rival fans and pundits like to single him out.

Ale is absolutely wrong here. Bruno is the heart of this team, without him the team struggles. He’s always available, he does everything on the pitch, he’s their best player. He builds up plays. Provides assists and scores goals.

Bruno for me is a mid table player, something like Luis Alberto in Lazio. He will assist and score some goals, but plays zero defense and looses the ball often.

I don’t think it’s gonna happen, but Bruno Fernandes is better off leaving Manchester United. In a team that’s had a disappointing season once again, he’s been absolutely brilliant. From the midfield he has 15 goals and 12 assists in all competitions and has been carrying this team on his shoulders for the last 3-4 years and without him they would probably be in 15th place and for the 2 games that he didn’t play in look at what happened to Man United. They really need to keep him this summer, I wouldn’t be surprised if he wants out of United.
Someone who’s in the peak of his career he’s too good for the current version of Manchester United. A player of his caliber who has ambitions should be playing on a team competing in a title race and regularly playing champions league football, you don’t want to settle for a top 4 spot every season and sometimes not even sure if your team will be playing in the champions league. He wants to stay on this team, but why would he want to be part of a ship that’s sinking even further and they won’t even qualify for any European competition. Their team is nothing more than a shambles and there’s gonna be a lot of changes at this football club in the summer. Why would he be happy at Manchester United the guy has won only 1 trophy in 4 years. If you’re in his shoes would you want to be wasting your prime years in a dysfunctional team or actually play on a contending team who has a shot at winning proper trophies the Carabao Cup counts as silverware but again it doesn’t hold the same level or prestige as the premier league and the champions league. You look at Harry Kane for example he’s a world class striker but if he’s so good, why hasn’t he won a trophy in his career. It’s because he stayed at Tottenham for too long and he should’ve left at the time to join Manchester City because by now he would’ve won 6 trophies well make it 8 trophies at the end of this seasons. He made a mistake in extending his contract at Tottenham and staying there for too long and when he finally left to join a club that is guaranteed trophies, he went trophy less again with Bayern Munich. Anyways, staying at Manchester United is a bit of a risk for Bruno because if the situation doesn’t change he’ll want to leave and if no team wants to sign him, his only realistic option is to go to Saudi Arabia. Even though he wants to stay, he should leave Manchester United very soon as no top player wants to be part of a ship that’s been sinking for a long time and they’ve not been able to build a proper team around him.

Bruno is captain and you build around him (that doesn't mean you don't have a view to the future of the 10 who takes his place whether the one currently in the team or has to be transferred in). The guys online have more insight than the ones in the studio. He could be sold. A player wants to be wanted. He will not do the Ronaldo debacle where if he's becoming a liability, he's saying I'll go without a fight, easy as.

I think his point was essentially that Bruno is not captain material, which is not that far fetched. For his age and experience he often acts like a big baby. His body language and attitude on the field don't show that much leadership, so he can become a liability from a captain's position, morale-wise. I don't think anyone questions his quality as a football player.

I noticed some interesting similarities between Harry Kane and Bruno Fernandes and this has contributed to their lack of trophies despite their individual performances respectively and the stats they put up season in season out. You look at Kane whether it’s with Tottenham England and now Bayern Munich the system heavily relies on him to be at his brilliant best. The team is all about him the system revolves around him. Meaning that beyond being a beast in front of goal, he’s responsible in dropping deep linking up the play and getting involved in the game. Everything in the team goes through Kane and he’s not the fastest and you don’t expect him to beat a player with pace as some of his strengths undermine his weaknesses. What we’ve noticed for club and country no matter how many goals he scores particularly in these big games, he doesn’t carry or push his team across the finish line and when it comes to winning football, he’s not the player you wanna rely on. This is a common trend with him every team that he’s on. It’s the same thing with Bruno Fernandes at Manchester United and sometimes the Portugal national team, the system is mostly about him because of what he produces and despite his goals and assists, when it’s not falling for him, the team is in trouble. At the end of the day both Kane and Bruno are phenomenal players and every season they’re consistent when it comes to putting up numbers but they have one thing in common which is that they’re not winning a lot. He may’ve won the Carabao Cup, but he’s only won 1 trophy in 4 years at Manchester United. They’re both like Russell Westbrook in a sense that no matter how good your stats are, the way the team relies on you your style of play just doesn’t lead to winning and similar to him, Kane and Bruno are accused of being “stat pad merchants” players who care more about their own stats rather than helping their team win and have an ability to not show up in big game. If guys like Harry Kane and Bruno Fernandes are world class players carrying their teams every season, why aren’t they winning trophies then.

Bruno is world class, he has to stay, along with Mainoo, Garnacho ,Ahmad and some other young players. I would keep Diego Dallo and Martinez as well, possibly Maquire who's form in recent games has been good and he's loyal and a leader. (I know I'll get flak for that one) The rest are on the potential trade/release table. I think Marcus would benefit from a move to another club, he's still young with good years ahead. Hoylend for me hasn't shown much but that is partially due to the team around him.

Bruno Fernandes and Russel Westbrook are very similar it's crazy. Both put up elite numbers and stats and both have fans that rates them. However their play style is appalling to say the least and their all round game are so bad that they can't drag their teams to glory hence they become more of a liability for the team than a positive. I always said had they improved on their all round game and be more of a team player like Harry Kane albeit Kane has won nothing and wasted his peak a Spurs then no question they would be champions and highly regarded as one of the best players in their generation. Too bad both Bruno and Russel splits opinions with every fan across sports despite again having elite numbers and stats.

There is nothing ironic about that. For starters, Nunez is a forward. Bruno is a midfielder. Secondly, Nunez, despite not being clinical, is a very good player no matter how much people mock him.
