Hey man, I just wanted to ask; how did you get this working in MP? Both me and my friend have tried to host a server with nothing but this modpack, we've gotten all the load order right, but it just doesn't work. For me it's a "connection to server lost" despite being the host, and for my friend it just crashes. Is there some other step that's needed?

@@sharkwithmanners1734 not necessarily but recommended if you use a lot. If you use only 20 its ok without but I for example use 270 of which 120 are map mods others are tile packs and 100 or so are gameplay mods. Its helpful to active or deactivate all at once or save presaved mod lists
90 AT A TIME!?, holy hell, i felt like it took me a long time to optomize 8-15 maps in the map singularly, this'll take a lot of that time out right out the gate!
If you pause the video at 6:53, that is actually a map from Left 4 Dead 2 an event called The Plantation, even down to the little dock where Vergil picks up the survivors. I love it. I hope there was a little ham radio on a table behind that fence. XD
I've personally been mapping out the locations of map mods myself lately to see which are inter-compatible, which overwrite vanilla content, et cetera. I also tend to avoid mods that basically just give you a ready-set-up player home. There are a few exceptions, but that's the general gist. I do need to check some of the maps, though, as a handful rely on tile packs with immersion-breaking tiles. (Trimble County, Bourstrange, LV International Airport, Shortrest County, The Frigate, Valley Station 44-19, Bunker: Day of the Dead, and The Mall (South Muldraugh) Fix) We'll see, though. (I think Shortrest County and The Frigate use immersion-breaking tiles at the least.) Edit: Oh, and I also rarely ever made exceptions for map mods that have no in-game map. Generally, if it has no map on the map screen, it would be discluded.

I love stuffing my game with maps even if I dont go to all those places, because it brings a feeling of being in a huge area like an actual state. Also the small ones like houses and farms are always a great change to the same 5 houses copy-pasted in vanilla.

Have been using this collection for a few weeks now. Pretty solid indeed. An obscene amount of new areas to explore as well as slight changes to the vanilla maps that make you have to explore for things that have been moved around like the Rosewood Gas station for example. Really awesome and provides that Cathartic experience of finding things you need, especially without the availability of detailed online maps. I would highly recommend this Collection. My ONLY Gripe about this collection is that the Vanilla maps feel woefully un-lived in when you witness the incredible amount of detail and world building that have gone into the modded maps.
I spent literally all day yesterday getting about this many maps to work together. It was painstaking and a proper ball ache. I found a few utilities online, best was a big map with many of the mod maps overlaid with their cells listed. Of course then this video gets posted. I'm sure tommorow, once i've finished the rest of my modlist you will post some sort of mega modpack equivalent. Sods law.
Thanks for mentioning Dead in Hong Kong. This is one of the craziest map mod I've ever come across, hordes just keep raining down from on the street, and an empty screen is soon covered by thousands of zombies, it's one of the most terrifying location in PZ
Me and my brother have spent the last 20 hours modding our Zomboid server last week. We then stumbled upon this exact steam collection too. On top of ALL of the QoL, Firearms B41 and all cool additions, this collection was the best decision we've made. We've had a little trouble at first due to adding these mods into an already existing save, but with some research we've found out these map chunk/cell deleters. Now Zomboid will truly be our 3k hour playthrough. Love this game.

I’d like to ask, just curious to see what your opinion is on a “safe number” for a mod count limit. I know that’s like answering how long is a piece of string but I’m sort of after the general consensus when playing with, let’s say, an 8GB server.
Mom, I was on YT!!! Or something like that... I've always been surprised that my Wellsburg Lake map has received so much love for a very basic one (to my taste). Although what a joy to see that people like it. Thanks to those who have tried it (and expect surprises)

glad you enjoyed this!!! I use this collection in pretty much every run I do now, its insane, and makes kentucky feel fuller than every before! I have my saves set to start with a low infection then to as high as it can go; spawning on Kingsmouth island and with a goal of getting myself all the way to fort knox and clearing the place out. its quite the challange!
I am a game modder from way back (I am almost 50 and was modding Commodore 64 games)... these PZ modders tend to get to things on the next level and with a major attention to detail. I mean, it's tough not want to make things perfect with PZ; the vanilla game has an attention to detail, so those modding and compiling will want to honor that, I think.
Hi everyone. Thanks for MrAtomicDuck and the Creator of this mod pack. I have for the last 2 days been installing and testing every map. I would install a few, then go into debug mode(do not install or remove mods while in debug.) Load mods, leave game then go into debug. Make new game anywhere and then teleport to each location. Game keeps crashing when you load mods in debug mode and when you Quit, Rather quit to Desktop. Will makes things alot faster. Everything worked for me, but LVille Airport will make FPS drop extremely, same with Chinatown so i left them out. Wish that this would work with Walking Dead Project, but alot of the places clash with these maps. Terminus And Prison Works , but can't get Terminus to show on map. Snakes Gunstore and Spencer Lootable Mansion Clash, can't get them to work together, so needed to pick one. Louisville River Marina Caused a Crash, so i Replaced it with Seaside. Otherwise the map is now Huge and Works perfectly. I would recommend putting zomboid population at 2 with peak being at 3. You do not need insane population due to the extra zombies added to each area. Some areas Zombie Spawns will differ, so some might have a few zombies and other tons of zombies. Will post this to the creator of this mod list as well. Will soon start my own Zomboid channel, so pls come and Support. Absolutely Love this game(3000hours and counting).

was expecting like a couple of them working and most being incompatible but its insane someone actually made sure 90 maps fit all over the map without any issues (other than texture errors)
10/10, highly recommend! I have been playing with the 120+ maps and superb survivors for about a month now, only been playing the game for 2. As long as you have the mod that limits the survivors that spawn, its the bees knees! Game runs surprisingly smooth, max 5min to load in
I use a ton of map mods on both solo and on a hosted server. I love Monmouth County so very much, he put a lot of cool effort into it, the author is pretty friendly to chat with, and I mean, how can you say no to finding a Hello Kitten digital watch?
I appreciate the love for my map. I'm currently working on a Monmouth that will replace the current one but will be 53 cells rather than the current 16 cells. I've been streaming a fair bit of it on my twitch channel.
I have like 200 mods enabled from joining random modded servers most I have no idea what they actually do. I my game may take literally 20 minutes to load with 50 errors but its fun
The boats mod would be pretty cool and useful to have in this modpack now! Just imagine being able to visit Kingsmouth because you got tired of the plethora of other modded maps in KY. :D
I am so glad someone has done this, I have tried myself and I think i pretty much got the same list, but that is me spending years making it. It needs Dirkham on it thou. I play as a challenge, get from one corner to another. now you can do it from Loiusville to raven creek, eeire to dirkham etc
One thing I'm having a problem with is by the time I set up a base, I've killed the zombies in the area and the base isn't as useful as it was. I've collected the necessities, set up walls, and have a few luxuries.....but then what? Wake up, go to work, come home and go to sleep? Hell, I do that in real life. Eventually I'm gonna try and clear the map of all zombies, but that'll take some time. What id really like is events and missions. "Go to riverside and catch 100lb of fish" "walk through Louisville unarmed hitting key landmarks" "fight a house fire"

Raven Creek is still a badass map and the 10 years later mod works well with it. The only con to it is that there are VERY few windows on the side you can build out of.
quality is relative though. Some maps, like Bedford Falls, are a long way from looking good as the vanilla map while some are incredible like Ivy Lake and Raven Creek. Am pretty sure also nothing presented in the south east area of the game beats the sheer quality of St-Bernard's Hills
I would highly recommend to subscribe to the 'Mod Manager: Load From Collection' mod. You activate it on a new preset saved tab and then you just download all the collection directly to the game (haven't tried it yet, but I am still subbed on it tho). If you are somewhat picky and you want to be even more sure that all the map mods are either way the closest to be a 10/10, you can see quickly in the Mod Manager in all of them when was the last time that they were updated. Since you're going to see anyways a mod with 4-5 stars that the last time that was updated was for example in 2018, once a map is getting enough stars, unless something very bad happened you won't see a sudden change in its rating, so outdated and abandoned maps updated last time before build 41 are easily spottable through this way, and entering then in the comment section would confirm our doubts.
the Seoul map is insane too wonder if that's on there too... Crazy to think that vanilla zomboid is huge on its own then you have gigachad mod developers like this guy making it even bigger... With build 42 I wonder if you can take the ever expanding wilderness and maybe put one of these maps in it so further you explore you eventually stumble across a different map mod everytime... I think it'd work at the least. Thanks duck
Just FYI for those interested in this - download the spreadsheet with the correct order for the maps, or else it's not going to work properly (a lot of maps will be missing). It took me a few hours to organize them properly 😢
Hey hey! I’m the creator of this collection and will be updating it for Build42 when it comes out. Just keep in mind that everything will break when it’s released and we may be looking at weeks or more before maps are updated with the new systems being introduced. Some will also be removed to account for the new vanilla map.
Well this is interesting, I'm still studying but apparently going over 100 maps break something in tile definition. You could see that even worse loot mod recognize the containers to get the lock flag but not recognize the item to the function to pry open. As far i found but that cose i was looking backwards. I didn't check that all the apliances of the mods apliances works fine. The best second. Aparently spawn points also affects that expecific bug. Extreme rare but i have testing this for a week
Heyo I’m the creator of this collection. I run all of these maps in my usual play through with hundreds of other mods that include new loot items. It all works fine on my end :)
thanks, it's easy to work with and a lot of fun BUT gamers make sure to enable the right files from the pack, some files are additions to the maps in the pack (like the roads to X) but some are replacers and you have to CHOOSE ONE version (e.g. Over the River map : 2 options where the bridge will spawn). Read the workshop info of a mod when in doubt, because the mod info in game doesn't mention this.
@@MrAtomicDuck i mean it needs some polishing and detailing but tbh it's 100% playable but i have seen people complaining about the spawn of certain stuff (haven't seen it myself tho) but if you wanna try it and see for yourself it would be fantastic, as i already said this map has really good potential. great video. my only problem with some map mods is that they use custom assets that don't play well with my toaster of a computer, so i stick to map mods that use no tilesets.
This game is easily one of the most complicated games I have ever played. I just learned that bleach cannot be used as a disinfectant to treat your wounds and rags can be used as bandages. I can barely start killing some zombies. Can't even aim my rifles correctly yet. And now you have so many different maps. LOL
Rain World's modding community had a great idea which was for mod makers to use a google spreadsheet to essentially 'reverse' certain cells. Edit: Oh... I should have waited before posting!
Shame. Unfortunately, my favorite map mod is not included. I absolutely love Pitstop, and would have to add it as well if I took advantage of this package.
I use a 3070 and a Ryzen 5800x CPU. Tbh the map mods themselves aren't very stressing on the hardware, since most of it isnt rendered unless youre nearby, it all comes down to how many zombies are in your nearby area.

Edit: Oh, and I also rarely ever made exceptions for map mods that have no in-game map. Generally, if it has no map on the map screen, it would be discluded.

I love stuffing my game with maps even if I dont go to all those places, because it brings a feeling of being in a huge area like an actual state. Also the small ones like houses and farms are always a great change to the same 5 houses copy-pasted in vanilla.

Have been using this collection for a few weeks now. Pretty solid indeed. An obscene amount of new areas to explore as well as slight changes to the vanilla maps that make you have to explore for things that have been moved around like the Rosewood Gas station for example. Really awesome and provides that Cathartic experience of finding things you need, especially without the availability of detailed online maps. I would highly recommend this Collection. My ONLY Gripe about this collection is that the Vanilla maps feel woefully un-lived in when you witness the incredible amount of detail and world building that have gone into the modded maps.
I spent literally all day yesterday getting about this many maps to work together. It was painstaking and a proper ball ache. I found a few utilities online, best was a big map with many of the mod maps overlaid with their cells listed.
Of course then this video gets posted. I'm sure tommorow, once i've finished the rest of my modlist you will post some sort of mega modpack equivalent. Sods law.

Thanks for mentioning Dead in Hong Kong. This is one of the craziest map mod I've ever come across, hordes just keep raining down from on the street, and an empty screen is soon covered by thousands of zombies, it's one of the most terrifying location in PZ
Me and my brother have spent the last 20 hours modding our Zomboid server last week. We then stumbled upon this exact steam collection too. On top of ALL of the QoL, Firearms B41 and all cool additions, this collection was the best decision we've made. We've had a little trouble at first due to adding these mods into an already existing save, but with some research we've found out these map chunk/cell deleters.
Now Zomboid will truly be our 3k hour playthrough.

I’d like to ask, just curious to see what your opinion is on a “safe number” for a mod count limit. I know that’s like answering how long is a piece of string but I’m sort of after the general consensus when playing with, let’s say, an 8GB server.

To find and collate that many quality maps into a fully working list is literally a labour of love, and nevermind all the time it took to do the cell mapping and everything else too! I have my saves set to start with a low infection then to as high as it can go; spawning on Kingsmouth island and with a goal of getting myself all the way to fort knox and clearing the place out. its quite the challange!

I am a game modder from way back (I am almost 50 and was modding Commodore 64 games)... these PZ modders tend to get to things on the next level and with a major attention to detail. I mean, it's tough not want to make things perfect with PZ; the vanilla game has an attention to detail, so those modding and compiling will want to honor that, I think.

Hi everyone. Thanks for MrAtomicDuck and the Creator of this mod pack. I have for the last 2 days been installing and testing every map. I would install a few, then go into debug mode(do not install or remove mods while in debug.) Load mods, leave game then go into debug. Make new game anywhere and then teleport to each location. Game keeps crashing when you load mods in debug mode and when you Quit, Rather quit to Desktop. Will makes things alot faster. Everything worked for me, but LVille Airport will make FPS drop extremely, same with Chinatown so i left them out. Wish that this would work with Walking Dead Project, but alot of the places clash with these maps. Terminus And Prison Works , but can't get Terminus to show on map. Snakes Gunstore and Spencer Lootable Mansion Clash, can't get them to work together, so needed to pick one. Louisville River Marina Caused a Crash, so i Replaced it with Seaside. Otherwise the map is now Huge and Works perfectly. I would recommend putting zomboid population at 2 with peak being at 3. You do not need insane population due to the extra zombies added to each area. Some areas Zombie Spawns will differ, so some might have a few zombies and other tons of zombies. Will post this to the creator of this mod list as well. Will soon start my own Zomboid channel, so pls come and Support. Absolutely Love this game(3000hours and counting).

was expecting like a couple of them working and most being incompatible but its insane someone actually made sure 90 maps fit all over the map without any issues (other than texture errors)

10/10, highly recommend! I have been playing with the 120+ maps and superb survivors for about a month now, only been playing the game for 2. As long as you have the mod that limits the survivors that spawn, its the bees knees! Game runs surprisingly smooth, max 5min to load in
I use a ton of map mods on both solo and on a hosted server. I love Monmouth County so very much, he put a lot of cool effort into it, the author is pretty friendly to chat with, and I mean, how can you say no to finding a Hello Kitten digital watch?
I appreciate the love for my map. I'm currently working on a Monmouth that will replace the current one but will be 53 cells rather than the current 16 cells. I've been streaming a fair bit of it on my twitch channel.

I have like 200 mods enabled from joining random modded servers most I have no idea what they actually do. I my game may take literally 20 minutes to load with 50 errors but its fun
The boats mod would be pretty cool and useful to have in this modpack now! Just imagine being able to visit Kingsmouth because you got tired of the plethora of other modded maps in KY. :D

I play as a challenge, get from one corner to another. now you can do it from Loiusville to raven creek, eeire to dirkham etc
Just incase you wasn't aware, the building from the original Ghostbusters movies is in Monmouth County. There is also a Slimer plushie too.

One thing I'm having a problem with is by the time I set up a base, I've killed the zombies in the area and the base isn't as useful as it was. I've collected the necessities, set up walls, and have a few luxuries.....but then what? Wake up, go to work, come home and go to sleep? Hell, I do that in real life.
Eventually I'm gonna try and clear the map of all zombies, but that'll take some time. What id really like is events and missions. "Go to riverside and catch 100lb of fish" "walk through Louisville unarmed hitting key landmarks" "fight a house fire"

Wonder what your thoughts are on "Camden county" mod. It's the most unique I've seen in a sense of realism/immersion

Raven Creek is still a badass map and the 10 years later mod works well with it. The only con to it is that there are VERY few windows on the side you can build out of.
Playing for a month only and was searching for some new maps and found this! This will keep me busy like for 3 months at least lol 😂

My poor poor hard drive is about to be on suicide watch as if my massive mod collection wasn't already large enough
quality is relative though. Some maps, like Bedford Falls, are a long way from looking good as the vanilla map while some are incredible like Ivy Lake and Raven Creek. Am pretty sure also nothing presented in the south east area of the game beats the sheer quality of St-Bernard's Hills
I would highly recommend to subscribe to the 'Mod Manager: Load From Collection' mod. You activate it on a new preset saved tab and then you just download all the collection directly to the game (haven't tried it yet, but I am still subbed on it tho). If you are somewhat picky and you want to be even more sure that all the map mods are either way the closest to be a 10/10, you can see quickly in the Mod Manager in all of them when was the last time that they were updated. Since you're going to see anyways a mod with 4-5 stars that the last time that was updated was for example in 2018, once a map is getting enough stars, unless something very bad happened you won't see a sudden change in its rating, so outdated and abandoned maps updated last time before build 41 are easily spottable through this way, and entering then in the comment section would confirm our doubts.

the Seoul map is insane too wonder if that's on there too... Crazy to think that vanilla zomboid is huge on its own then you have gigachad mod developers like this guy making it even bigger...
With build 42 I wonder if you can take the ever expanding wilderness and maybe put one of these maps in it so further you explore you eventually stumble across a different map mod everytime... I think it'd work at the least. Thanks duck

Just FYI for those interested in this - download the spreadsheet with the correct order for the maps, or else it's not going to work properly (a lot of maps will be missing). It took me a few hours to organize them properly 😢

Hey hey! I’m the creator of this collection and will be updating it for Build42 when it comes out. Just keep in mind that everything will break when it’s released and we may be looking at weeks or more before maps are updated with the new systems being introduced. Some will also be removed to account for the new vanilla map.

Well this is interesting, I'm still studying but apparently going over 100 maps break something in tile definition. You could see that even worse loot mod recognize the containers to get the lock flag but not recognize the item to the function to pry open. As far i found but that cose i was looking backwards. I didn't check that all the apliances of the mods apliances works fine. The best second. Aparently spawn points also affects that expecific bug. Extreme rare but i have testing this for a week
Speaking of Kingsmouth, Privatelime did a "kill all challenge" with that map.

Heyo I’m the creator of this collection. I run all of these maps in my usual play through with hundreds of other mods that include new loot items. It all works fine on my end :)

thanks, it's easy to work with and a lot of fun BUT
gamers make sure to enable the right files from the pack, some files are additions to the maps in the pack (like the roads to X) but some are replacers and you have to CHOOSE ONE version (e.g. Over the River map : 2 options where the bridge will spawn). Read the workshop info of a mod when in doubt, because the mod info in game doesn't mention this.
Gonna give this a go when i die in the current run. Ideal amount of maps for a nomad with a basement in his rv.

great video. my only problem with some map mods is that they use custom assets that don't play well with my toaster of a computer, so i stick to map mods that use no tilesets.
This game is easily one of the most complicated games I have ever played. I just learned that bleach cannot be used as a disinfectant to treat your wounds and rags can be used as bandages. I can barely start killing some zombies. Can't even aim my rifles correctly yet. And now you have so many different maps. LOL

Use the cell map and you can quickly find if it has any conflicts, then just put it I yourself :)

I use a 3070 and a Ryzen 5800x CPU. Tbh the map mods themselves aren't very stressing on the hardware, since most of it isnt rendered unless youre nearby, it all comes down to how many zombies are in your nearby area.
How can I add this to an existing save? I've already cleared out the entire map using zomboid map cleaner

Yes, you'd need to download them via the workshop then apply them individually.
