Just found your channel and subscribed immediately. It's nice to actually see a local youtuber. I live in Newington so it's nice to see places that I can go to. Will be binge watching your videos. 😊🤗 from your CT neighbor.
I’m so happy I found this channel I live in Stratford. I guess I need to go up to Wallingford to find things that I like. There’s not much around here. Our goodwill store and our restore is really bad. I’m looking forward to watching the videos that you’ve already posted and for the online auction!
Drove from Texas to Ct to visit family, including some from Wallingford. Being from New Britain, there are loads of family around there... got taken to this store a few weeks ago and was SO glad we drove...altho hubby wasn't as happy. LOL Brought a little bit back with me! Great store!
It was definitely super clean, you're absolutely right. After all the time I spend at stores like Goodwill, it was a such a pleasure to be in such a beautiful space.
Hello 😊 thank you so much for stopping in !! Was great meeting you and recording with you 😊😊👍 Happy you enjoyed the shop , merchandise changes everyday always a treasure hunt. Thanks again Cindys Unique Shop 65 North Colony Street ‘Wallingford
Definitely! I'm just finishing up a video that has a preview of the sale. The video will go out on Sunday and I should have a link to the sale on Wednesday.
So happy for you Kris, your Norataki set is now complete! Love the tea pots and teal serving bowl w/ platter. Your PM display on the yellow shelves looks so pretty.💐 Miss you decorating.
Just a bit of china information for you - I grew up in East Liverpool, Ohio, which at one time was the pottery capitol of the world. Sadly my hometown is in a very depressed state now. The only remaining pottery is Homer Laughlin (Fiesta Ware being most known) and actually it is now right across a bridge in Newell, WV. A few of the others that I have seen you mention or buy are Hall China, 9:01 Taylor Smith and Taylor, Knowles, and Harker. If you ever see Lotus Ware, snatch it up. You could research East Liverpool if you need background on anything. I believe it was sister city of Stoke on Trent, UK, and many of the local potters of course came from there.
That's so interesting - thank you for sharing! It seems impossible that a place that's produced so many beautiful things could be in a depressed state now. I''ve heard of Lotus Ware in passing, but now that you've brought it up to me I'm going to do more dedicated research.
Beautiful video and you picked up some great pieces. I bought the collapsible apple bowl from you and I also found a pear collapsible basket on eBay. I plan to put nut in shells in them for an autumn display. I love both eating nuts and using them as decorative displays. Love the cats.
Make sure to come to Prime Finds at Lourdes in Litchfield CT from mid-November through December 30. It’s a fundraiser for Prime Time House In Torrington CT.
Our Kiwanis club has a flea market starting back on 8-25 to 10-27 from 8-1 in the enter of Newington 1 weekend in October they have crafters which seems to draw the most regular vendors Love the tea pots Glad she gave you the cups Habitat in Cromwell also gets lots of good furniture for great prices Not many decorative pieces
Hi Kris, when you said Wallingford, I was wondering if you were taking us to that flea market. As soon as I saw that footbridge, I knew. My mom and I used to go there every so often, and that was many years ago. They used to have a good selection of knives as I recall, and most men in my family have gotten one for Christmas, in fact I still have mine. Enjoying your video (and, as we know by now I'm sure, my morning coffee too!!) Have a great day!! Deb
Hi Deb! That flea market has been there forever. I'm told the town isn't a fan, but they probably want to put up a strip mall or some other ridiculous thing. I wonder if it would be better on a Saturday or Sunday (I went on a Friday) and also on a less scorching hot day. I'm so glad you enjoyed the video and your coffee! ❤❤
OMG! I am so happy for you. It was meant for the cups to complete your set. I am a fan of home decor, and sometimes interesting news will come into my regular search feed. The other day, there was a mentioned that a Noritake dinner set named Fritzerald? (with red /gold rim) is sought after and the price for a setting is not cheap. Also it showed a black /gold rim) also sought after. Sorry, I am not a Noritake fan, so I did not write anything down.
Bacchus dish with the holes is a grape dish or berry bowl ,,, you rinse th fruit in the bowl and the water drains from the holes like a colander?? Bacchus Roman god of wine. I have one not as nice as limoges ad mine has a na under dish to catch any water from teh rinsed berries ..I never used it too fancy for me LOL
Agreed! Why did we stop making such beautiful glassware? I also wish we had the old promotionals - like receiving a pretty piece of glass or china with a detergent purchase, et cetera.
Beautiful video. I could kick myself: I GAVE AWAY my paternal grandmother’s Harkerware dishes full set of 4 with accessories. Hoping to visit Cindy’s shop. Thank you!
Wow - it must have been beautiful! Don't kick yourself - we just can't keep everything. Definitely check out Cindy's, and if you go, I hope you find some treasures!

Yay you found the tea cups!!!
Score! The funny thing is that it was quite a while after I bought the set, not the next day. I guess it was meant to be!
Oh gosh! That was a beautiful orange cat!
Do you mean my crazy Indy? He's a charmer for sure!
Beautiful video and you picked up some great pieces. I bought the collapsible apple bowl from you and I also found a pear collapsible basket on eBay. I plan to put nut in shells in them for an autumn display. I love both eating nuts and using them as decorative displays.
Love the cats.
That's so great! I didn't realize they made a pear - I'll have to check that out. I bet your displays look beautiful! I hope you enjoy the apple bowl!

I definitely will! Thank you so much for the tip! It's going on my list of places to check out, and it sounds like a great cause!
As soon as you showed the brass hanging rack, I thought, maybe you could use it for some of the copper pots! Then you had the same idea 😊 nice video.
Clearly great minds thing alike! We haven't installed it yet, but I think it will be perfect.
I love the bunny set.
Thank you! I thought it was adorable. It was so interesting to learn about Bunnykins - I didn't know about it before.

That's so good to know! Thanks for the tip!
We have friends in Wallingford! We are in RI. We are definitely taking a road trip!
You should definitely do it! Although I'm curious about thrifting options in RI. We should trade info!

That's so interesting! I'm going to have to research that pattern! I'm very new to Noritake, but they made a lot of beautiful china.
Also come to The Elephants Trunk in New Milford. Sundays until October
I LOVE Elephants Trunk and have been going for years. We'll head back as the weather gets just a tad cooler. It's one of my favorite places.

I have a weakness for depression glass especially the pink. Some beautiful things today. They just don't make pretty dishes anymore like they used to.
Agreed! Why did we stop making such beautiful glassware? I also wish we had the old promotionals - like receiving a pretty piece of glass or china with a detergent purchase, et cetera.
I believe it is a urinal. 31 years of hospital work.
Really? I would never have guessed that! (And 31 years is a LONG time to do hospital work - good job!)
Beautiful video. I could kick myself: I GAVE AWAY my paternal grandmother’s Harkerware dishes full set of 4 with accessories. Hoping to visit Cindy’s shop. Thank you!
