I was at the Sioux Falls show and it was a dream come true! The confusion with who funds the NASCAR car encapsulates South Dakota perfectly. There is zero transparency with our governor and what she does. I mean, FFS, in 2020 SD voters approved Amendment A for recreational marajuana. What did she do? Directed two cops to sue the state via an executive order to overturn the results. I think that South Dakota drove you to retire from touring. We will build something to apologize. We promise! 😊 But seriously, you've earned it and even though it's sad, I hope that you absolutely enjoy it.
I’m so bummed that I wasn’t at the Sioux Falls show. Had I known Lewis was retiring from touring I would’ve sold a kidney to be there. There is no transparency from our state government although that’s what the governor continually touts….transparency 🙄 It is a huge cluster F!
There isn’t so much as a tree within 50 miles of the highway in SD 😂 I lived in Duluth MN in HS & didn’t realize my frozen nightmare was a paradise compared to SD! 😂😂😂
Driving through South and North Dakota is actually quite scary. There are stretches of road that if you don't have a full think of gas, you might not make it to the next gas station. I remember I drove two hours without seeing another vehicle. The only way I can describe the drive is desolate.
During the mid-90's I was truck driving for a large company. Load took me from NE Oregon to Minn/St. Paul. And this was in early February. The torture of it all was not the time of year, weather was okay just cold, but the computer governed top speed of the truck which was 62mph. Going that speed across Montana and North Dakota was miserable. Made me think of a line I heard Redd Foxx say regarding driving in Texas: "Driving across that state is just miles and miles of nothing but miles and MORE miles."
Wall Drug. You're not missing a thing. All those miles driving. All those signs leading you to think something interesting awaits. Nope. Unless you like seeing piles of made in China kitchy souvenirs. A souvenier to remind you of your trip to nowhere to see nothing.
Lewis my kan! You had to of gone by my dads farm where the nearest Wal-Mart is 120+miles away. I know exactly as does any SD resident that there.is NOTHING in sd. Hence why I lol at people in SD scared of illegal immigrants
Ahhhhhh, where I grew up in ND. Want to know why it’s so windy in ND? Montana sucks and Minnesota blows! Moved to Florida in 1999 at age of 30, Florida is just the bowels of hell.
I moved to Florida 30 yrs ago. Knew nobody, but as soon as I learned to dress for the heat, I did just fine...then all the "Ritchies" moved in. That's when I knew we were fucked.
As an overseas visitor I think driving across the state is just wonderful. All that flat nothingness is good for the soul. And I’ve done it many times. And not only via the I 90. There are other nothingness routes too! 😊
I drove MO to CA in 1988 with my 9 y o. Through KS and CO I was missing trees. The Great Salt Desert was pretty but, you know. Then halfway across the salt someone had built a concrete tree with colored pawn shop balls for leaf clusters.
You can't even get into the northern 50% of California without going through trees, especially the northern 40% like the Sierra Nevada's, that very thick Forrest, thicker than Missouri, and I'm from Taney, Christian, Greene counties.
What's creepy about the west coast, sir? I am disappointed in that careless trope😢Ya got 2 Dakotas that's 4 senators for about 10K population. Cali got a global economy and just 2 senators. Their should be ONE Dakota One Virginia and One Carolina.
Wow, I used to like Lewis Black, been a fan for years, but totally uncalled for dis of the West Coast, especially California. He lost a fan. If he does set foot here, trying to get our money, I will contact the venue and remind them of how much he hates us and finds us "creepy."
I went to college in South Dakota in the early 70's. We stopped at "Wall Drug" on our way to the Black Hills. I was from Long Island and Lewis Black is right. When I first landed in a corn field in Yankton, So. Dakota I knew this was gonna be different. Great memories. I came to love South Dakota.
Driving thru SD you often wonder, "Am I in a Hanna Barbera cartoon? Because that backround has been on repeat for several hours now!"
If Lewis Black was the speaker of the house, life would be f'ningly magical!!!🤘💫
agreed. 🤩👍
Oh gawd, why didn't I think of that. Hell yes. Damn, I shoulda had a V-8.
Happiness tour.
This term will be used in my everyday things. Even when I get thrown in hell. Because some fucktard came my way...
Thank you Lewis❤❤❤
Yes! Please!
I'm going to get pie❤❤❤
"This is not an exit." I, too, have driven past there, Lew.
I took an Amtrak through North Dakota and there was nothing there. I have family that lives in SD and yes nothing there. 😅
Just saw him in Kalamazoo and he killed it! Water levels matter!

Driving down a road like that is a constant sense of Deja Vu - didn't I just see that? didn't I just see thet again? Oh no, here it comes again.
He is so damn hilarious!!!
Having lived in South Dakota 1991-1998, Lewis is spot on!
There isn’t so much as a tree within 50 miles of the highway in SD 😂 I lived in Duluth MN in HS & didn’t realize my frozen nightmare was a paradise compared to SD! 😂😂😂
❤ you Lewis.
Odsultely right, Lewis, nothing to see in SD but a road through nowhere.
Lewis is in great form.... break done him good 😁
Fabulously Fantastique!!!!

If you’ve never driven I80 across northern Nevada you’ve never understood desolate. It makes North Dakota’s nothing look like something.
Always a pleasure to hear this Jew!!!
You still got it Lewis! This is my favorite of your current acts...it's classic you! Thanks ..
So funny Lewis!
Welcome to South Dakota, turn your clock back 40 years.
Apparently he didn't hit up "The Corn Palace."

Enjoyed the content and show
As much as I'd like to check out Wall Drug and Cafe, I don't think I'm going there. Drove through Kansas once. No. Only Lew can make it hilarious ❤

Great collage, Lewis.
You need to wander in no-man's land more often....this material was a funny as f***!!!!!!!!!!!!
Laughed hard enough to forget what i was typing i love wall drug.
I love you Lewis. Saw you in MI. Thx for stopping by.❤
Lewis my kan! You had to of gone by my dads farm where the nearest Wal-Mart is 120+miles away. I know exactly as does any SD resident that there.is NOTHING in sd. Hence why I lol at people in SD scared of illegal immigrants
It becomes more and more clear why Lew is retiring from touring...
Ahhhhhh, where I grew up in ND.

Yes!😂
Hope you made it to Grandma's in Duluth.
Throw your hat in the ring, pull out your lariat !
Lewis, did you stop to see Dignity? The beautiful Native American sculpture that is on the hill in Chamberlain, right off of the interstate?
Now do Montana.
Driving the Trans-Canada Highway through eastern Saskatchewan is exactly the same feeling.
As an overseas visitor I think driving across the state is just wonderful.
All that flat nothingness is good for the soul.
And I’ve done it many times.
And not only via the I 90.
There are other nothingness routes too! 😊
If you go to Laverne Minnesota, i saw a huge boa snake the color of Trump.
🧡🧡🧡
The snake would have been a better president
Black…Mack is back 😂😂😂
South Dakota is "a state of mind", as is INSANITY!
Hay when you had to drive there and back , did it feel like Europe.😂
the dakotas remind one that the us needs a federal education program that all the states have to follow.
Bald Lewis Black is coming, and its not going to be pretty. But we'll still love you.
Seems to me the real problem in building things to see. Runs the risk of providing objects to drive into at 140 mph.
Forget SD try driving through Nebraska miles and miles of corn fields
I drove MO to CA in 1988 with my 9 y o. Through KS and CO I was missing trees. The Great Salt Desert was pretty but, you know. Then halfway across the salt someone had built a concrete tree with colored pawn shop balls for leaf clusters.

@@whatabouttheearth yes the trees at Shasta were magnificent
@@dianasheart
Yes they are, but that sliver of what is technically a rain forrest biome up in Washington is more amazing
@@whatabouttheearth Maybe one day I can go there.
Ah South Dakota land of too many Harleys
Where in the hell is Wall Drug, they used to sell plaques that said that as i passed through there over the years, i lived in Sioux Falls born 1960.
I have shot glasses, a frog carved from ironwood. 30-40 yrs old now, time flies.
I've been to Wall drug. It's worth seeing.
Something tall: TREES! Why don't you have more trees allover the place, Americans?
Around half the country is the Eastern Forrest, and everywhere north of California on the west coast is forested
Be a truck driver, and drive across Nebraska. Wyoming is like Falling off the moon. Nothing there. Immigrant's in THE Dakota's.
Lol.
What's creepy about the west coast, sir? I am disappointed in that careless trope😢Ya got 2 Dakotas that's 4 senators for about 10K population. Cali got a global economy and just 2 senators. Their should be ONE Dakota One Virginia and One Carolina.
Yeah, that surprised me coming from Lewis, especially since the last video I watched he was in California not long ago and talking good about it
you're losing it, Lewis. hang up your microphone
Wow, I used to like Lewis Black, been a fan for years, but totally uncalled for dis of the West Coast, especially California. He lost a fan. If he does set foot here, trying to get our money, I will contact the venue and remind them of how much he hates us and finds us "creepy."
Btw wall drug
the grifter returns for more grifting
