I've been working on training my lab mix dog to be a therapy dog, and I'd just like to emphasize how much practice is needed! We spend a lot of time on socialization training in novel environments to be sure that she'll be comfortable wherever she happens to find herself. Training is one thing, but your practice regimen will determine whether or not your dog is successful.

I’m looking to get a pepperoni within the next three years and with my experience I’ve noticed that all “working” dogs in the family (dogs that have some actual life calling and not just lounge dogs) have a lot more happiness and feel needed.
