For anyone wanting more lore implications, I ventured over to the location when the vira update dropped (Vira update as in the new spider Halloween creature) and when I flew over to it as a gobli, those eye decorations (I call them eye stalks, because essentially that’s what they are) and I saw one eye stalk placed to face those pillars. If this isn’t a hint at something big, I dunno what is. Edit: also, I’m pretty sure that the novus warden statue isn’t a statue at all, but a body, a corpse. If we look at all the other examples, they’re all black and white (not counting the ardor here, though maybe the ardor’s pink glow could hint something further), the novus’s corpse is actually really dulled out, but it’s the default coloration of the novus, this means that the novus is dead, but what’s really interesting is some patterns on the novus is actually still glowing. This could mean a lot, any ideas anyone?
I dont think it's a novus corpse, but i do feel it may be related to something. I also think its interesting to note that both hellion and novus have time motifs. Novus marks fresh life, the 'starting' of time (lore stated on the wiki) and hellion is labelled as a time lord/ This could imply that, possibly Novus was the previous "time" warden, and that hellion either took over the role, shunning novus in the process, or that the novus tried and failed to usurp hellion as the time deity. If novus marked fresh life, perhaps even life brought back, and hellion (+ garra) represented the passing of time and life, having novus reverse said passing would break the flow of the rest. Ardor and Verdants life and growth were required to keep in balance, but when Novus's life and growth directly attempted to fight against helli and garra's roles, it became troublesome. Alternatively, my theory is that since novus doesnt exactly fit into a singular role (being both all-terrain and having similar power/traits to the other wardens), it's "false" because.. theres no role for it to fill. its an outcast, and with having no purpose, it became false. sorry for the text wall whoopsies
To be honest it was really nerve wracking to see novus in chains. I literally got goosebumps. But what I think is, due to the appearance of the mystery pillars and how they are hidden by the cliff is BECAUSE that it once belonged to novus? Maybe novus was dethroned for betraying the council of the wardens and instead of being sentenced to death like Garra wanted, it was chained down and was deemed a false warden.
My theorie about why hellion is chained and why boreals toes are on icicles: about hellion, i think it was chained bc it was really intelligent and it had a limitless power to change time, so maybe it could lower or speed up time. About boreal, i think boreal also could be very intelligent like hellion, and could freeze anything, also these both warden faces look very evil. Like hellion's, it has holes, not eyes, and boreal eyes look really evil. They could have a very powerful and limitless power that other wardens couldnt get and they both got tortured and chained. Also about novus (my theorie about novus is very similar to yours), i also think its a false warden or it also was a really intelligent warden, but it was pretending to be one, it got some warden powers from somewhere like a usuall warden, but novus actually abused its power somehow and discovered, with that power it would seem like a warden, but the other wardens discovered out novus was being fake, and then the others got its legs and its body separated so it couldnt move and tortured him exactly like the boreal and hellion but a little more brutal. And about these pillars, i think theres might be a 7th warden (actually a 6th bc novus is a fake one) and the real 6th one would be revived by ardor bc ardor can give life to anything and everything, also i think 6th one would be a next summer warden or a new winter warden. (This took me 30 mins to write lol)

The Novus Warden can laugh." also we can get a little hint from the description "This warden's appearance marks the start of fresh life" also i think the devs add false o novus bc the rocks made the novus and the novus statue is representing its trying to sacrifice its life or resurrecting because of the life/healing aura unleashing by novus thats all owo
also you can see novus rocks at the old trade realm if you look at the middle you can see the rock has the mark of novus maybe the old trade realm was suppose to be the novus real placement of statue or novus kingdom
i think the statues are made so smaller creatures protected by wardens can respect and not some kind of imprisionment since there are more than one of each warden novus isn't evil or good it's just a ura who really wants to be a warden and probably kept the REAL sixth warden (likely aquatic) underwater by telling lies of how dangerous land is and the healing can be explained by cloud breath healing 1% hp every tick the "aura" is simply the ura's passive heal ability somewhat weakened by the layers of material covering it and it turning from direct healing to a feel good aura

Two quick theories here- 1. That shape could hint on the previous sixth warden! Maybe the warden might have been the guardian of the night and the stars. The Warden might have been around the same size as Novus, but would’ve had more power than Novus, making it quite the challenge to defeat 2. About the pillars and the new warden theory…what if the new warden is a reincarnation of the real sixth warden? What if the new warden avenged its past life by chaining up Novus and leaving it to die with the help of the other wardens? What if that shrine was predicting the Novus Warden’s downfall? I know i got future site, but i think novus is simply a creation of the angelic warden, i think it took pity on a fallen creature so it took whats left of it body and crafted it into a honorary warden, this explains the many stoney formations and the sowing of its mask, and i believe that explains the powers it has, like for example being able to warp the atmosphere around it is because of the fact it is technically a soul, and the fact that the limbs are held together by energy

my theory is novus is a ura pretending to be a warden (notice they both can fly without wings, both have an active ability water gale that no other creature has and are both all terrain) the sixth warden might have been aquatic and since novus is the only warden we know who can swim it could have convinced the lonely aquatic warden to come on land and use its water gale to confuse it so it couldn't get back underwater and would die of beaching the other wardens found out and destroyed novus's statue so creatures started seeing it as an "outcast" and hat explains why novus are portrayed as "shy" and "rare" and "always seem to come back recovered (they've been used to getting mocked and learned to easily recover from it) potentially the aquatic wardens live deeeeep underwater and novus has tricked the other wardens into thinking it's the new warden since only it has access to the aquatic wardens and could have convinced them that land is scary and deadly and might have even killed one by beaching to prove it the fact that novus has no facial features besides a mouth can also point to it being a ura using rocks and materials to disguise itself also there are more than one of each warden so novus couldn't have just "died" since we have to view each warden as a species novus may also have not protected smaller creatures much as they are all busy keeping other creatures from knowing the existence of the aquatic warden and isn't afraid to kill them to do so which raised suspicions by other wardens
Uras are cannonically benelovent and it wold get very uncomfortable for a Ura to dress up like Novus warden and how do you explain how Novus warden has cloud breath if Ura does not

i have a theory for the plates, maybe the plates resemble how each of the elder wardens die. first gara (tablet translation was death) came and plagued the land with death and destruction, so ardor (life) had to give his life to give all other sonarian creatures the strength to keep living, and verdant (growth) gave its life source for the fertility of the land (with that star thing its holding in the statue) and hellion (time lord) bide time for both of those wardens and were captured by gara and imprisond untill it died of starvation. And boreal (freeze) chose to fight gara head on but lost and was freezed to death by gara. and gara was executed for bringing death. so there u go. gara died for bringing DEATH, ardor gave LIFE, verdant gave GROWTH, hellion bide their TIME, boreal FROZE. oh an beafore gara was discoverd, the other wardens thought novus (false) was the culprit, because novus was the only one not effected and novus is so mysterius and always apear to be fresh, even thought other creatures was struggling to live, so novus was imprisoned and left to die, so novus died because of a FALSE acusation
unlikely since garra's statue seems to be normal and you can't really assume novus just "died" because there is more than one of each warden (we know this because the devs stated hellion is a great parent meaning their capable of reproduction) garra i see is a warden that guides lost souls into the afterlife and those who died peacefully and are still respected by their loved ones are reborn and zhelijen (information gotten from COS wiki)

In my opinion maybe Novus wasn't the bad one I think it's plate talks about the other wardens. Not about Novus like how they where fake and did that to Novus.
What if the 6th warden is acctually the 7th and it is coming in the future? What if the lore is that said 7th warden is on the loose after killing the rest of the wardens with some sort of a breath that freezes creatures in stone, and kidnapped the other wardens, slowly killing them with its breath, torturing them, keeping them in a prison, and Novus escaped, but died from being too consumed of the stone while on its way to try and save Hellion, and it fell into the water, and creatures never saw it again? The "Fake" For the novus warden might mean it could tell lies from truth as a power, like how "time" is for hellion, and its in the time gacha.

So here's my theory: This is based on the last part of your video, I researched what Novus actually meant, there are 2 things I discovered, 1 in latin word it says "Free", "New" meaning it could be the representation of Novus being the new warden, at least it was the last warden to release if I'm not wrong, however the scary part is the second one that I discovered, "Novus" is a long tribe known for its "dirty tricks" meaning they're decievers or liars in order to survive. At first I doubt my researchings but after I finished your video, they do really connect.
If I'm right, Novus wasn't meant to be a Warden, I think there are certain creatures that can get the title of a Warden and Novus wasn't selected, but for some reason the Novus was released as a Warden, the pillar that you saw was probably meant for the Novus Warden, and as the mystery began to open, they removed the Novus Statue and threw it in the water where it cannot be seen... My perspective.
Maybe ura was the actual sixth warden?! Here me out… (PLS NOTE: This was when sonaria was maybe young and some wardens were still new)) Maybe Novus was some other duller species and grew envy of the other wardens for having such divine power so it might’ve cleverly killed the 6th warden (aka the ura) and managed to steal its powers and abilities. Although, some of the more powerful powers like uras passive heal didn’t quite come to fit with Novus so all it can admit is a divine aura. You might be wondering abt the other wardens, well both ura and novus stays in the water and rarely come out so maybe the other wardens couldn’t find out bc ura is always underwater (lol that doesnt mean they know uras existence)). So i believe one of the wardens realized the truth and lured the novus out of the water and destroyed it as well as its shrine.
No only wardens can have wardens rage and again it's said that whenever novus appears it's a sign that new life appears it's aura helps things to flourish and no there is nothing suggesting novus is always underwater from what I have seen the game is practically implying that novus rarely appears literally anywhere. The marks on the back show when the wardens were released/added to the game, Novus being the 6th recently in the LSS event. I already been in the game long enough to see each one come by over the 2 years.
My Theory (WARNING: THIS THEORY IS NOT BASED OFF OF WHAT THE STONES SAY, THIS IS BASED OFF THE WAY THE STATUES LOOK) - Maybe Novus warden was an accident made by the "Gods" of Sonaria. When it came to Sonaria, the other wardens hated it. Execpt Boreal and Hellion. The other wardens thought it was discusting. When they chained the Novus up, the lake wasn't full of water. But over time water filled the hole. While it was slowly filling, Hellion and Boreal had tried to help it, but one day they both got caught bringing it out of the hole. As a punishiment, they locked them all up in their own territories. They made their life hell, until the wardens decided they had their fun, and turned them to stone. The "Gods" of Sonaria were angry that the other wardens killed their creations. So they also got sent to their terriories, and got turned to stone. (THIS WAS MY THEORY PLEASE DO NOT STEAL IT, THANK YOU :)
I think these are normal statues, and the chains and all that are for the looks, but the "false" and "lie" thing on novus is probably trying to say that this isnt a real warden, or atleast thats what we all think they are trying to say. Maybe we are all overthinking this too much
Being a warden that can fly around swim and walk is really suspicious as most wardens cant do anything like that, also having no tissue and looking like a rock it may be from space an artificial warden or just an intruder which was classified as warden but actually isint as this may as well be an old civiliazation who migtve just called it a warden and not actually being one so my theory is that it was taken down bu some other warden worshipping civilization and saw the novus as not one so they wrote down false as the tablet and the pillars are much different

Theory : The Novus betrayed the other wardens and as a punishment, the other wardens trapped it in that specific cave where the statue is. And maybe the false is like saying that there not apart of being a warden anymore.
Maybe the wardens was mad at the novus bc they thought there getting replaced and destroyed the statue of the novus maybe that pillars was suppose to be the novus statue and the wardens destroyed it and locked up the novus under watre and died.
My idea is simple. The novus once stood at those pillars but when it's was discovered( for not being a real warden) they( the other wardens) took it away from it's throne of pillars and dumped it in the pond.

Another being... It has little hands! It looks much like a bunny creature, yet it is very tall, not as tall as the Tundra Being though, I can probably guess it likes sociability and others! Unless . . . Time warps and changes . . . What's happening? What is that? Why is everything. . . slow? That being seems like a timelord... I wonder what nickname we could give it now. Probably something to do with time. What the hell is that? Some devilish being that came from the death below? It looks like a soul caster not going to lie... So basically, what this is about is The Novus Warden just being highly thought of the sonarian people. The other Wardens didn't like that. And thought Novus warden was an attention seeker. After Novus Was chained, apparently, Novus was able to telepathically capture one of each of the warden's kind, and make them into statues, before using all of its energy to do so, and to just . . . stay there underwater.
hi! i ahve some lore for ya! theory: boreal, hellion, and novus where framed by one, more powerfull, and honestly petty warden. one is a flier. one is aquatic. these two wardens are suprizingly mates, (flier being mother, sea being father) one was loyal, and the other wasent. sea was not loyal. he left his mate, (the flier) to reside in a petty, and quite shamefull place, (hence why theres a GIANT skull at the end of the dunes pond tunnel) and was sadly invaded by tiny parasites, who took advantage of his seasion long sleep and ate him from the inside out. and flyer had just given birth to *Boreal warden* *Verdant warden* *Ardor warden* *Hellion warden* and *novus warden* . flyer cherished these beings while they where babies, and let them go once they became juvinile and have learned how to walk, talk, and various other things a baby could not do, they where released by what seasion they looked like. boreal was released at winter, verdant released at spring, novus released under a rainbow (since their flyer, aquatic, and land.) garra warden released at autumn, ardor warden at cherry blossom , hellion released at summer, so flyer went to go find food, but she starved to death whilst looking for the food she needed. *i'll give more lore when i have more info*

I don't know if anyone ever doubted athulyth as much as I did because he seemed to have a mask, but he wasn't a warden or if someone tried to find him to be a warden, but he refused because he knew what the consequences of being a warden were, or if he just didn't want to be a warden(I mention him because a Chinese friend of mine asked this question.)

Theory: Before Sonar existed, there was only one creature, a creature that could do almost anything, but one day it got lonely, and even without anyone near it, it heard voices... so it decided to create other creatures that it named "Wardens". " He was happy with the company, but then years went by and even though he had several creatures and 6 wardens he wanted one more, one different from the others, so he built a passage to the wardens' vault (where the masks are) and so began the Sew All Masks. And then it came to the New Warden... He sewed it up until the other Wardens found out and they didn't like the idea... They entered the room and tore off the mask but the Novus Warden had already appeared, furious the Ancestral Warden (7th ) He cast a spell that made the wardens turn to stone... Boreal with the name of: "Frezee", because Boreal tried to resist and ran to Tundra but soon an avalanche fell on his body and he froze and turned to stone.... Verdant De :Grow, Verdant ran to Flower Cove but the Ancestral Warden caught up with him and cast a sleeping spell, he tried to resist but the only thing he managed to do was create a flower, thus turning it to stone...Hellion:"Time Lord", For Hellion Tried To Control Time But He Didn't Get The Ancestral Warden Was Very Strong So Why Hellion Have Trying To Use His Powers That Were One Of The Strongest Among The Wardens Was Chained So It Turned To Stone... Claw:"Death", Because While Claw Running He Stopped At The Volcano's Edge He Was Slipping Until He Managed To Tear Off One Of The Ancestral Warden's Arms He Got Furious And Dropped Him Into The Lava And Sadly He Gave Up And Turned To Stone... Ardor:Life, Because Ardor Was Known For Healing Many Creatures And He was Verdant's best friend so when Verdant turned to stone he fell into depression, the Ancestral Warden felt sorry for him but when he went to try to talk to him a large stone fell on him thus burying him he tried to escape but the only thing he could do was pick up a beautiful Flower And Turn To Stone...And Finally...Novus Warden:"False" After All That The Ancestral Warden Realized What He Did To Sonaria And Blamed It On Novus... Novus Tried To Explain But He Wouldn't Listen So Had Who Put It In The Water And Chained It Thus Turning To Stone And Known As The False Warden... Ancestral Warden Returned To The Cave And Wept So He Decided To Kill Himself...But Before Cruising A Symbol On The Cave Wall And When He Was About To Die His Soul It was transferred to the symbol and his arm was the only thing left with a needle that showed he wanted the wardens back but he didn't get it and so he died.... (Sry if Its So Long)😅
My theory is, that hellion was chained up for killing the last warden, and hellion lied and falsely accused Novus. Other wardens believed him and accused Novus of killing the last warden, but the "Warden Creator" was against it. He chained up Hellions statue, while the other wardens destroyed Novuses statue in the water. After the warden creator chained up Hellion, everyone was against him, killing him. Or another theory which is less likely to be true. This time it's Novus who's the bad guy. He wanted fame and power, and when he found the secret "Vault" or "Room" thingy with all the Wardens masks, he threatened the warden creator with the "I will tell everyone" card. He was given a mask too, but a weak one since power can be created by goodness. He attempted to make him stronger and limit hellions power by chaining up hellions statue. He was killed by the wardens too late. He has killed the warden creator and all of the wardens sweared they would do very bad things to his kind. They destroyed his statue, thus making him untradable and sealed into the sonarian world and not free to explore the trade realm.
the pillars with out a statue are prob novus' since novus has no pillars around it. Maybe the wardens went, "oh novus not a warden. Time to break his mask and throw his statue into the water!"
My theory that, due to the new warden mask cave, the novus mask is stiched together, I think that the wardens made the novus protect against the migraiting creatures from Daimona, but it failed so they sentenced it to death, for not doing its job and leting creatures like the Sar hingaro come to sonaria, and even more maybe the sar, and other posible creatures from Daimona enprisoned the other wardens, for not letting them come to a safe world like sonaria, and tryng to block the portal.
I believe the marks are numbers, like you said... but hellion only has one. Hellions tablet also says "Time" so I wonder if hellion is like- from a different time or universe in the lore. But idk just a theory.
i kinda have a theory? i think the warden statues are not the same as the species we can play as, because what if the statues were the original wardens and they were too powerful so they got chained up and stuff till they died, and so the ones we can play as might be just a bit of their original power. considering the warden rage might be the power they retain from their original forms.
I think the warden that Novus killed off, (Aka the actual 6th warden) is the warden of the ocean. If you think about it all the wardens (except Novus) represent a biome, Garra - Volcano, Ardor - Swamp, Verdant - redwoods & Flower dome, Boreal - Tundra, and Hellion - Desert. If the ocean warden was released I think it would be named, The Okeanos Warden.
My question is, wtf chained/tortued them in the first place? Also what is the Hellion is called the Time Lord because you have to pay with in game hours to get it?
I think the Novus warden being called “false” and the cross mark number thing is eluding the the hellion warden. I think, with the warden statue being chained up and it’s plack saying “intelligence”, the hellion knew that the novus warden was a fake warden. I think the novus warden displayed itself as a false warden with an immense power, being able to chain up helli, and took helli’s place as 5th warden. Then, after Helli got free, Novus wardens were imprisoned, locked away, or straight up killed. This left hellion to become more powerful and became the fifth warden again, earning the strength they have now. As for the Novus spec, I think it was a limited time only thing for a reason. You always see many wardens everywhere, but how often do you see Novus? Not often at all. Anyway, that’s my theory, thank you for your time. :)
theory: guardian war between life and death and it could be said that perhaps the novus is like lucifer, betraying god (the most powerful being in this boreal case, the greatest, most feared and powerful guardian) starting a fight between the sides, life and death falling like this is a leader (novus) and following peace among the remaining guardians

Considering it's the only that after novus were the EIGION and Angelic wardens which were probably used as a less powerful version of novus as novus could swim and fly so they separated the jobs to different wardens as without novus the air and the sea was left without and governing
I wish they had a update where if you are one of the wardens and go let’s say ador warden statue as a ador warden the eyes should grow green but if you say novus it either turns out red or blue (red. Idk, there’s my theory lol Novus was warden as everybody else, he was water related warden , and everything about him was alright, until Novus warden made a mistake and broke some kind of rule, eventually messing up with balance. Angelic warden, who is responsible to balance of the sonaria, eliminated him, making him false warden
Now I am pretty new to this game (joined around the christmas event) but catching up on lore is pretty fun so I have had my own theory around this topic I always figured that novus was never a real warden but just some creature that could do some stuff that wardens could do and it liked the idea of being a warden so it tried to make itself look like a warden (hence the patchy looking mask) but I guess once the other actual wardens found out about this creature that was trying to be one of them my guess they got pretty annoyed
My headcanon is that the old 6th warden was the Ura. Why do i think this? Well look at the facts and lore. Ura canonically can fly using magic, the only other creatures that have magic are either angelic like creatures, or wardens. Ura also guide those who were lost in see, like a guardian or.. a warden. Ura likely was a warden of the sea, and Novus warden grew jealous and tried to kill them. And i mean tried. The Novus probably thought Ura died when they fought, but actually it survived. Though Ura became weaker, and is probably now a half warden. Novus took Ura's spot, claiming that the warden had abandomed their spot. And most of the wardens believed this, except for Boreal and Hellion. They both knew Ura would never do something like this, and quickly learnt of what Novus did. They both attacked the fake warden, inprisoning them under the water to make up for their sins. But that leaves out one thing; Why are Boreal and Hellion chained if they saved the day? Well, maybe the followers of Novus believed Boreal and Hellion to be evil, overpowering them and locking em up. The reason why the empty pillar doesnt have a statue of Ura is because the statues are tied to the wellbeing/status of the wardens. The other statues arent hurt because those wardens are fine, Ura's statue is missing because Ura is thought to be dead, but we know they are alive and probably regaining their magic, Boreal and Hellion's statues are chained and impaled because of Novus's followers, and Novus's statue is chained up underwater because of Boreal and Hellion.
i think cos developers are trying to give us a hint of the lore and i think novus is a false warden because he even doesn't have a number but why is heliion number is weird you well realize that both hellion and novus dont have numbers and they are the only 2 warden that we see chains on them don't have a number maybe novus like you said wasn't real warden but what does that mean and hellion maybe he just did something outlaw so they chained it or maybe novus chained hellion to pretend that he is the fifth warden and removed his number and he was later got punished
hellion likely has a false number because it's in the time gacha and time is portrayed in numbers a lot so hellion might have changed the number to pretend to be the first warden sort of a weird flex and wardens are to be viewed as a species and not an individual

For everyone saying that 1 warden killed the other, that is false and here is why: Wardens are not physical they use physical bodies to be able to see what is going on in sonaria world, other creatures probally found out and decided to lock them up or made a temple of them, but they all are immortal
theres a flaw im seeing with a lot of these theories, all of them assume that theres only ONE of each warden. We know this isnt true, the wardens are like any other species, and can reproduce. There are many verdant wardens, ardor wardens, novus wardens etc. We see these in their description boxes, and they all serve to protect sonaria, as in its embedded into their species' dna. So im confused as to why "novus warden" could've done something bad when, it isnt even an individual entity, its a whole species, with multiple novus wardens in sonarias population. I dont have a theory as to why whatever civilization that built these shrines decided to class the novus warden as the false ones, but the fact that its statue is broken down and drowned could mean the novus wardens are fully extinct in sonaria, hence providing an in-universe explanation as to why its not coming back.
the statues are not imprisionments more likely made to respect each warden as a guardian and the novuses could be uras who wanted to be wardens and worked as a group to convinced the sixth probably aquatic wardens to hide away (aquatics are strong for their tier but you can only choose one strength or smarts) and when it comes to novus births they probably just hide away from everyone else and get the materials to make fake baby novus that are really just disguised baby uras
I think the statues are archon wardens because they are bigger than the actual wardens. And the "lie" behind the novus rock was meaning that he is still alive and the statue is fake

Considering how novus can fly and swim, maybe it could be that Novus is canonically dead and is a ghost Warden flying about
it's description says it was carrying 2 eggs in it's arms when it was first seen tho
so maybe it was able to continue it's species and perhaps live inside of an ice cave?

1:33 heya! For anyone wanting more lore implications, I ventured over to the location when the vira update dropped (Vira update as in the new spider Halloween creature) and when I flew over to it as a gobli, those eye decorations (I call them eye stalks, because essentially that’s what they are) and I saw one eye stalk placed to face those pillars. If this isn’t a hint at something big, I dunno what is.
Edit: also, I’m pretty sure that the novus warden statue isn’t a statue at all, but a body, a corpse. If we look at all the other examples, they’re all black and white (not counting the ardor here, though maybe the ardor’s pink glow could hint something further), the novus’s corpse is actually really dulled out, but it’s the default coloration of the novus, this means that the novus is dead, but what’s really interesting is some patterns on the novus is actually still glowing. This could mean a lot, any ideas anyone?

I dont think it's a novus corpse, but i do feel it may be related to something.
I also think its interesting to note that both hellion and novus have time motifs. Novus marks fresh life, the 'starting' of time (lore stated on the wiki) and hellion is labelled as a time lord/
This could imply that, possibly Novus was the previous "time" warden, and that hellion either took over the role, shunning novus in the process, or that the novus tried and failed to usurp hellion as the time deity.
If novus marked fresh life, perhaps even life brought back, and hellion (+ garra) represented the passing of time and life, having novus reverse said passing would break the flow of the rest. Ardor and Verdants life and growth were required to keep in balance, but when Novus's life and growth directly attempted to fight against helli and garra's roles, it became troublesome.
Alternatively, my theory is that since novus doesnt exactly fit into a singular role (being both all-terrain and having similar power/traits to the other wardens), it's "false" because.. theres no role for it to fill. its an outcast, and with having no purpose, it became false.

To be honest it was really nerve wracking to see novus in chains. I literally got goosebumps. But what I think is, due to the appearance of the mystery pillars and how they are hidden by the cliff is BECAUSE that it once belonged to novus? Maybe novus was dethroned for betraying the council of the wardens and instead of being sentenced to death like Garra wanted, it was chained down and was deemed a false warden.
My theorie about why hellion is chained and why boreals toes are on icicles: about hellion, i think it was chained bc it was really intelligent and it had a limitless power to change time, so maybe it could lower or speed up time. About boreal, i think boreal also could be very intelligent like hellion, and could freeze anything, also these both warden faces look very evil. Like hellion's, it has holes, not eyes, and boreal eyes look really evil. They could have a very powerful and limitless power that other wardens couldnt get and they both got tortured and chained.
Also about novus (my theorie about novus is very similar to yours), i also think its a false warden or it also was a really intelligent warden, but it was pretending to be one, it got some warden powers from somewhere like a usuall warden, but novus actually abused its power somehow and discovered, with that power it would seem like a warden, but the other wardens discovered out novus was being fake, and then the others got its legs and its body separated so it couldnt move and tortured him exactly like the boreal and hellion but a little more brutal.
And about these pillars, i think theres might be a 7th warden (actually a 6th bc novus is a fake one) and the real 6th one would be revived by ardor bc ardor can give life to anything and everything, also i think 6th one would be a next summer warden or a new winter warden. (This took me 30 mins to write lol)

aight here is my theory: novus warden isnt really evil nor mad to the other warden i think the novus was sacrificing itself by unleashing it powerful aura so it can help the creatures being stranded at the middle of the sea and also here are the behavior of the novus "The Novus Warden has the same intelligence levels as the other wardens, usually staying underwater. Solitary, but many creatures like to surround it due to the positive natural aura it emits.
It does not have eyes, instead, it uses its extremely long protrusions to ‘see’ the world around it. It is passive most of the time, and only attacks if it faces a real threat. Usually found alone.
The way that this creature appeared in Sonaria is completely unknown but, some people believe it came from another planet. Somehow, every time it emerges, it looks completely fresh and untouched, as well as being the most (chronologically) recent warden to be spotted, thus earning the name ‘Novus Warden.'
The Novus Warden usually enjoys floating in the water as it uses up less of its magic.
Sometimes stranded creatures in the middle of the sea find themselves being carried to shore by the Novus Warden.
The Novus Warden is a species capable of feeling emotion. Their aura changes completely when in a bad temper, making those too close to it feel uneasy.
The Novus Warden can laugh." also we can get a little hint from the description "This warden's appearance marks the start of fresh life" also i think the devs add false o novus bc the rocks made the novus and the novus statue is representing its trying to sacrifice its life or resurrecting because of the life/healing aura unleashing by novus thats all owo
also you can see novus rocks at the old trade realm if you look at the middle you can see the rock has the mark of novus maybe the old trade realm was suppose to be the novus real placement of statue or novus kingdom
or maybe, novus is actually bad, he emits a positive aura to lure in creatures to the depths and drain the creatures aura and emerges fresh again

i think the statues are made so smaller creatures protected by wardens can respect and not some kind of imprisionment since there are more than one of each warden novus isn't evil or good it's just a ura who really wants to be a warden and probably kept the REAL sixth warden (likely aquatic) underwater by telling lies of how dangerous land is and the healing can be explained by cloud breath healing 1% hp every tick
the "aura" is simply the ura's passive heal ability somewhat weakened by the layers of material covering it and it turning from direct healing to a feel good aura

Two quick theories here-
1. That shape could hint on the previous sixth warden! Maybe the warden might have been the guardian of the night and the stars. The Warden might have been around the same size as Novus, but would’ve had more power than Novus, making it quite the challenge to defeat
2. About the pillars and the new warden theory…what if the new warden is a reincarnation of the real sixth warden? What if the new warden avenged its past life by chaining up Novus and leaving it to die with the help of the other wardens?
What if that shrine was predicting the Novus Warden’s downfall?

I know i got future site, but i think novus is simply a creation of the angelic warden, i think it took pity on a fallen creature so it took whats left of it body and crafted it into a honorary warden, this explains the many stoney formations and the sowing of its mask, and i believe that explains the powers it has, like for example being able to warp the atmosphere around it is because of the fact it is technically a soul, and the fact that the limbs are held together by energy
This would make for an AWESOME creepypasta of Novus!!
EDIT: Maybe Novus locked the other wardens up and the real sixth warden imprisoned Novus before it was? Which is why it only has pillars, not a body?

my theory is novus is a ura pretending to be a warden (notice they both can fly without wings, both have an active ability water gale that no other creature has and are both all terrain) the sixth warden might have been aquatic and since novus is the only warden we know who can swim it could have convinced the lonely aquatic warden to come on land and use its water gale to confuse it so it couldn't get back underwater and would die of beaching
the other wardens found out and destroyed novus's statue so creatures started seeing it as an "outcast" and hat explains why novus are portrayed as "shy" and "rare" and "always seem to come back recovered (they've been used to getting mocked and learned to easily recover from it)
potentially the aquatic wardens live deeeeep underwater and novus has tricked the other wardens into thinking it's the new warden since only it has access to the aquatic wardens and could have convinced them that land is scary and deadly and might have even killed one by beaching to prove it
the fact that novus has no facial features besides a mouth can also point to it being a ura using rocks and materials to disguise itself
also there are more than one of each warden so novus couldn't have just "died" since we have to view each warden as a species
novus may also have not protected smaller creatures much as they are all busy keeping other creatures from knowing the existence of the aquatic warden and isn't afraid to kill them to do so which raised suspicions by other wardens
ura and novus have 0 design similarities, you could litterally claim ura is a norskog in a suit because they both fly without wings.
Uras are cannonically benelovent and it wold get very uncomfortable for a Ura to dress up like Novus warden and how do you explain how Novus warden has cloud breath if Ura does not

Ardor: ardor a life god whom give life’s to plants,flowers he loved but when the volcano erupt killing all the plants he tried to revive them but making him weaker and weaker every 100 plant he did until he gone weak and lay down a bit eating trying to get its energy back ardor ded by his sicknes the warden granted him the gold plate and write “life” as he was a life god

i have a theory for the plates, maybe the plates resemble how each of the elder wardens die. first gara (tablet translation was death) came and plagued the land with death and destruction, so ardor (life) had to give his life to give all other sonarian creatures the strength to keep living, and verdant (growth) gave its life source for the fertility of the land (with that star thing its holding in the statue) and hellion (time lord) bide time for both of those wardens and were captured by gara and imprisond untill it died of starvation. And boreal (freeze) chose to fight gara head on but lost and was freezed to death by gara. and gara was executed for bringing death. so there u go. gara died for bringing DEATH, ardor gave LIFE, verdant gave GROWTH, hellion bide their TIME, boreal FROZE.
oh an beafore gara was discoverd, the other wardens thought novus (false) was the culprit, because novus was the only one not effected and novus is so mysterius and always apear to be fresh, even thought other creatures was struggling to live, so novus was imprisoned and left to die, so novus died because of a FALSE acusation

unlikely since garra's statue seems to be normal and you can't really assume novus just "died" because there is more than one of each warden (we know this because the devs stated hellion is a great parent meaning their capable of reproduction) garra i see is a warden that guides lost souls into the afterlife and those who died peacefully and are still respected by their loved ones are reborn and zhelijen (information gotten from COS wiki)

What if the 6th warden is acctually the 7th and it is coming in the future? What if the lore is that said 7th warden is on the loose after killing the rest of the wardens with some sort of a breath that freezes creatures in stone, and kidnapped the other wardens, slowly killing them with its breath, torturing them, keeping them in a prison, and Novus escaped, but died from being too consumed of the stone while on its way to try and save Hellion, and it fell into the water, and creatures never saw it again? The "Fake" For the novus warden might mean it could tell lies from truth as a power, like how "time" is for hellion, and its in the time gacha.
My theory about Novus is that he did killed the true 6 th warden and he did stole it's halo so he got cursed and next dead so The False can swim and fly like a ghost

So here's my theory:
This is based on the last part of your video, I researched what Novus actually meant, there are 2 things I discovered, 1 in latin word it says "Free", "New" meaning it could be the representation of Novus being the new warden, at least it was the last warden to release if I'm not wrong, however the scary part is the second one that I discovered, "Novus" is a long tribe known for its "dirty tricks" meaning they're decievers or liars in order to survive. At first I doubt my researchings but after I finished your video, they do really connect.
If I'm right, Novus wasn't meant to be a Warden, I think there are certain creatures that can get the title of a Warden and Novus wasn't selected, but for some reason the Novus was released as a Warden, the pillar that you saw was probably meant for the Novus Warden, and as the mystery began to open, they removed the Novus Statue and threw it in the water where it cannot be seen...

Maybe Novus was some other duller species and grew envy of the other wardens for having such divine power so it might’ve cleverly killed the 6th warden (aka the ura) and managed to steal its powers and abilities. Although, some of the more powerful powers like uras passive heal didn’t quite come to fit with Novus so all it can admit is a divine aura. You might be wondering abt the other wardens, well both ura and novus stays in the water and rarely come out so maybe the other wardens couldn’t find out bc ura is always underwater (lol that doesnt mean they know uras existence)). So i believe one of the wardens realized the truth and lured the novus out of the water and destroyed it as well as its shrine.
No only wardens can have wardens rage and again it's said that whenever novus appears it's a sign that new life appears it's aura helps things to flourish and no there is nothing suggesting novus is always underwater from what I have seen the game is practically implying that novus rarely appears literally anywhere. Novus is a warden and an interesting thing is novus is linked with magic and life force the only creature to be confirmed with "magical" ability as I quote "The novus warden is a large majestic beast bound by incredible life force and magic, so strong it's aura sometimes help the elements around it to flourish."

The marks on the back show when the wardens were released/added to the game, Novus being the 6th recently in the LSS event.
I already been in the game long enough to see each one come by over the 2 years.
My Theory (WARNING: THIS THEORY IS NOT BASED OFF OF WHAT THE STONES SAY, THIS IS BASED OFF THE WAY THE STATUES LOOK) - Maybe Novus warden was an accident made by the "Gods" of Sonaria. When it came to Sonaria, the other wardens hated it. Execpt Boreal and Hellion. The other wardens thought it was discusting. When they chained the Novus up, the lake wasn't full of water. But over time water filled the hole. While it was slowly filling, Hellion and Boreal had tried to help it, but one day they both got caught bringing it out of the hole. As a punishiment, they locked them all up in their own territories. They made their life hell, until the wardens decided they had their fun, and turned them to stone. The "Gods" of Sonaria were angry that the other wardens killed their creations. So they also got sent to their terriories, and got turned to stone. (THIS WAS MY THEORY PLEASE DO NOT STEAL IT, THANK YOU :)
The thing is wardens are a species not a singular being.
I think these are normal statues, and the chains and all that are for the looks, but the "false" and "lie" thing on novus is probably trying to say that this isnt a real warden, or atleast thats what we all think they are trying to say. Maybe we are all overthinking this too much
Being a warden that can fly around swim and walk is really suspicious as most wardens cant do anything like that, also having no tissue and looking like a rock it may be from space an artificial warden or just an intruder which was classified as warden but actually isint as this may as well be an old civiliazation who migtve just called it a warden and not actually being one so my theory is that it was taken down bu some other warden worshipping civilization and saw the novus as not one so they wrote down false as the tablet and the pillars are much different
also most creatures fit their own micro niche BUT the LSS creatures dont, they also can all fly swim and walk which most creatures cant do, so it might aswell be aliens as they all share traits most creatures dont, which is kinda confusing also, who knows when the statues were built as the civilizations could exsist like jeff being a example of "intelligent" life so i would assume the statues are old as many civilizations worshipped wardens so in my theory the novus was a normal statue like the other wardens because the old civilization classified it as one due to its warden like traits after i would assume a warden cult civilization took over they realised the warden was fake so they thought it was an "impostor" but it couldve well been a classification

My theory is that: Novus Killed the Sixth warden But what was the sixth warden looked like?, was novus jeoulus of the sixth warden by this? i mean When we are at 0:05 to 0:15 When the main 5 found out that novus killed the sixth warden They decided to have a punishment for the entire year for nous of his shame to killing the sixth warden, this is why novus was chainded up under the water.
Next up is the translation from the stoen near him as we know it says "FALSE" which meaning of this took place when the 5 main wardens found out that novus killed the sixth warden, they called his a False warden and due to it they chained novus to the water where he belongs today what i know about is that the fact that we didn't know who was the sixth warden and we though it was all novus we were false by this meaning that novus wanted to take the sixth warden' s power to be a warden as he flys and swims, we belive that when novus died he got the sixth warden' s power still and he gets the chance to torture them:

So, this might sound like a story but here we go.
One day . . . A mysterious tall being entered our world and remained in the Tundra as a tall, eerie being of the icy snow biome, standing there, staring and watching over the Desert Oasis.
Another Day... Another mysterious being entered! It was large and bulky like a bear but had antlers, only thing I can guess is that it likes to hang around nature and repopulate the withering.
. . . Another being... It has little hands! It looks much like a bunny creature, yet it is very tall, not as tall as the Tundra Being though, I can probably guess it likes sociability and others! Unless . . .
Time warps and changes . . . What's happening? What is that? Why is everything. . . slow? That being seems like a timelord... I wonder what nickname we could give it now. Probably something to do with time.
What the hell is that? Some devilish being that came from the death below? It looks like a soul caster not going to lie... Hopefully it doesn't cause us trouble, I just hope so.

The other Wardens didn't like that. And thought Novus warden was an attention seeker.
After Novus Was chained, apparently, Novus was able to telepathically capture one of each of the warden's kind, and make them into statues, before using all of its energy to do so, and to just . . . stay there underwater.

theory:
boreal, hellion, and novus where framed by one, more powerfull, and honestly petty warden. one is a flier. one is aquatic. these two wardens are suprizingly mates, (flier being mother, sea being father) one was loyal, and the other wasent. sea was not loyal. he left his mate, (the flier) to reside in a petty, and quite shamefull place, (hence why theres a GIANT skull at the end of the dunes pond tunnel) and was sadly invaded by tiny parasites, who took advantage of his seasion long sleep and ate him from the inside out. and flyer had just given birth to *Boreal warden* *Verdant warden* *Ardor warden* *Hellion warden* and *novus warden* . flyer cherished these beings while they where babies, and let them go once they became juvinile and have learned how to walk, talk, and various other things a baby could not do, they where released by what seasion they looked like. boreal was released at winter, verdant released at spring, novus released under a rainbow (since their flyer, aquatic, and land.) garra warden released at autumn, ardor warden at cherry blossom , hellion released at summer, so flyer went to go find food, but she starved to death whilst looking for the food she needed.

Theory: Before Sonar existed, there was only one creature, a creature that could do almost anything, but one day it got lonely, and even without anyone near it, it heard voices... so it decided to create other creatures that it named "Wardens". " He was happy with the company, but then years went by and even though he had several creatures and 6 wardens he wanted one more, one different from the others, so he built a passage to the wardens' vault (where the masks are) and so began the Sew All Masks. And then it came to the New Warden... He sewed it up until the other Wardens found out and they didn't like the idea... They entered the room and tore off the mask but the Novus Warden had already appeared, furious the Ancestral Warden (7th ) He cast a spell that made the wardens turn to stone... Boreal with the name of: "Frezee", because Boreal tried to resist and ran to Tundra but soon an avalanche fell on his body and he froze and turned to stone.... Verdant De :Grow, Verdant ran to Flower Cove but the Ancestral Warden caught up with him and cast a sleeping spell, he tried to resist but the only thing he managed to do was create a flower, thus turning it to stone...Hellion:"Time Lord", For Hellion Tried To Control Time But He Didn't Get The Ancestral Warden Was Very Strong So Why Hellion Have Trying To Use His Powers That Were One Of The Strongest Among The Wardens Was Chained So It Turned To Stone... Claw:"Death", Because While Claw Running He Stopped At The Volcano's Edge He Was Slipping Until He Managed To Tear Off One Of The Ancestral Warden's Arms He Got Furious And Dropped Him Into The Lava And Sadly He Gave Up And Turned To Stone... Ardor:Life, Because Ardor Was Known For Healing Many Creatures And He was Verdant's best friend so when Verdant turned to stone he fell into depression, the Ancestral Warden felt sorry for him but when he went to try to talk to him a large stone fell on him thus burying him he tried to escape but the only thing he could do was pick up a beautiful Flower And Turn To Stone...And Finally...Novus Warden:"False" After All That The Ancestral Warden Realized What He Did To Sonaria And Blamed It On Novus... Novus Tried To Explain But He Wouldn't Listen So Had Who Put It In The Water And Chained It Thus Turning To Stone And Known As The False Warden... Ancestral Warden Returned To The Cave And Wept So He Decided To Kill Himself...But Before Cruising A Symbol On The Cave Wall And When He Was About To Die His Soul It was transferred to the symbol and his arm was the only thing left with a needle that showed he wanted the wardens back but he didn't get it and so he died.... My theory is, that hellion was chained up for killing the last warden, and hellion lied and falsely accused Novus. Other wardens believed him and accused Novus of killing the last warden, but the "Warden Creator" was against it. He chained up Hellions statue, while the other wardens destroyed Novuses statue in the water. After the warden creator chained up Hellion, everyone was against him, killing him.
Or another theory which is less likely to be true. This time it's Novus who's the bad guy. He wanted fame and power, and when he found the secret "Vault" or "Room" thingy with all the Wardens masks, he threatened the warden creator with the "I will tell everyone" card. He was given a mask too, but a weak one since power can be created by goodness. He attempted to make him stronger and limit hellions power by chaining up hellions statue. He was killed by the wardens too late. He has killed the warden creator and all of the wardens sweared they would do very bad things to his kind. They destroyed his statue, thus making him untradable and sealed into the sonarian world and not free to explore the trade realm.
the pillars with out a statue are prob novus' since novus has no pillars around it. Maybe the wardens went, "oh novus not a warden. Time to break his mask and throw his statue into the water!"
My theory that, due to the new warden mask cave, the novus mask is stiched together, I think that the wardens made the novus protect against the migraiting creatures from Daimona, but it failed so they sentenced it to death, for not doing its job and leting creatures like the Sar hingaro come to sonaria, and even more maybe the sar, and other posible creatures from Daimona enprisoned the other wardens, for not letting them come to a safe world like sonaria, and tryng to block the portal.

i kinda have a theory? i think the warden statues are not the same as the species we can play as, because what if the statues were the original wardens and they were too powerful so they got chained up and stuff till they died, and so the ones we can play as might be just a bit of their original power. considering the warden rage might be the power they retain from their original forms.
I think the warden that Novus killed off, (Aka the actual 6th warden) is the warden of the ocean. If you think about it all the wardens (except Novus) represent a biome, Garra - Volcano, Ardor - Swamp, Verdant - redwoods & Flower dome, Boreal - Tundra, and Hellion - Desert. If the ocean warden was released I think it would be named, The Okeanos Warden.
So this is why is so expensive in trial bc it's a false warden so they don't want a lot of people using it

I think the Novus warden being called “false” and the cross mark number thing is eluding the the hellion warden. I think, with the warden statue being chained up and it’s plack saying “intelligence”, the hellion knew that the novus warden was a fake warden. I think the novus warden displayed itself as a false warden with an immense power, being able to chain up helli, and took helli’s place as 5th warden. Then, after Helli got free, Novus wardens were imprisoned, locked away, or straight up killed. This left hellion to become more powerful and became the fifth warden again, earning the strength they have now. As for the Novus spec, I think it was a limited time only thing for a reason. You always see many wardens everywhere, but how often do you see Novus? Not often at all.

guardian war between life and death
and it could be said that perhaps the novus is like lucifer, betraying god (the most powerful being in this boreal case, the greatest, most feared and powerful guardian) starting a fight between the sides, life and death falling like this is a leader (novus) and following peace among the remaining guardians
Maybe novus lost his “warden” title and was chained underwater and couldn’t escape without food for 72 years so he lost his glow and electricity
Thats why novus is rarely seen in oasis
Wardens are a species not a singular animal so it couldn't lose its title as warden

Considering it's the only that after novus were the EIGION and Angelic wardens which were probably used as a less powerful version of novus as novus could swim and fly so they separated the jobs to different wardens as without novus the air and the sea was left without and governing
What if there's a battle between the 5 wardens vs novus and then all the 5 wardens sacrificed there lives to save the sonaria
I wish they had a update where if you are one of the wardens and go let’s say ador warden statue as a ador warden the eyes should grow green but if you say novus it either turns out red or blue (red. Mad (blue sad)

Novus was warden as everybody else, he was water related warden , and everything about him was alright, until Novus warden made a mistake and broke some kind of rule, eventually messing up with balance. Angelic warden, who is responsible to balance of the sonaria, eliminated him, making him false warden
The novus statue might be moved by the other wardens to the fliers playground and novus once was at the pillar place where theres no warden
Now I am pretty new to this game (joined around the christmas event) but catching up on lore is pretty fun so I have had my own theory around this topic I always figured that novus was never a real warden but just some creature that could do some stuff that wardens could do and it liked the idea of being a warden so it tried to make itself look like a warden (hence the patchy looking mask) but I guess once the other actual wardens found out about this creature that was trying to be one of them my guess they got pretty annoyed
My headcanon is that the old 6th warden was the Ura. Why do i think this? Well look at the facts and lore. Ura canonically can fly using magic, the only other creatures that have magic are either angelic like creatures, or wardens. Ura also guide those who were lost in see, like a guardian or.. a warden. Ura likely was a warden of the sea, and Novus warden grew jealous and tried to kill them. And i mean tried. The Novus probably thought Ura died when they fought, but actually it survived. Though Ura became weaker, and is probably now a half warden. Novus took Ura's spot, claiming that the warden had abandomed their spot. And most of the wardens believed this, except for Boreal and Hellion. They both knew Ura would never do something like this, and quickly learnt of what Novus did. They both attacked the fake warden, inprisoning them under the water to make up for their sins. But that leaves out one thing; Why are Boreal and Hellion chained if they saved the day? Well, maybe the followers of Novus believed Boreal and Hellion to be evil, overpowering them and locking em up. The reason why the empty pillar doesnt have a statue of Ura is because the statues are tied to the wellbeing/status of the wardens. The other statues arent hurt because those wardens are fine, Ura's statue is missing because Ura is thought to be dead, but we know they are alive and probably regaining their magic, Boreal and Hellion's statues are chained and impaled because of Novus's followers, and Novus's statue is chained up underwater because of Boreal and Hellion.

and i think novus is a false warden because he even doesn't have a number but why is heliion number is weird
you well realize that both hellion and novus dont have numbers and they are the only 2 warden that we see chains on them don't have a number maybe novus like you said wasn't real warden but what does that mean and hellion maybe he just did something outlaw so they chained it or maybe novus chained hellion to pretend that he is the fifth warden and removed his number and he was later got punished
hellion likely has a false number because it's in the time gacha and time is portrayed in numbers a lot so hellion might have changed the number to pretend to be the first warden sort of a weird flex and wardens are to be viewed as a species and not an individual

So since the plate/stone near novus says “lie” this may show that the novus was ⏃ “false” warden and was therefore murdered/killed
The other wardens are showed chained or have icicles like the boreal and hellion
The ardors plate says “life” as in indicated creating or giving life to things
Garras plate means “death” indicating that creating or giving death. Garra is also from the Halloween event. Halloween is also known for when life and death or the portal/wall between the living and the dead or at its thinist marking those able to cross into the living realm
The numbers on the back of the plate can either indicate when they became ⏃ warden or (to me) how many there were before them
Their plates on the front also show ⏃ drawing of the warden; the novus’s picture doesn’t necessarily look like the novus warden, as you can see
Each statue showes color on certain parts of their body:some are colored like the veradent and ardor
Going back to the picture thing they/ for all of the wardens : don’t really look like themselves but of ⏃ evolved or simpler than their picture (garra and novus)

And was banished or killed as ⏃ flying/swimming ghost that roams(?) around Sonaria

Another thing ⟟ noticed is that the novus is chained down as to keep it from returning and being ⏃ “warden” again and to forbid it from ever returning to sonaria as ⏃ whole possibly
I was thinking a little similar about the fact the novus murdered a warden. It could have hid the body somewhere

For everyone saying that 1 warden killed the other, that is false and here is why: Wardens are not physical they use physical bodies to be able to see what is going on in sonaria world, other creatures probally found out and decided to lock them up or made a temple of them, but they all are immortal
theres a flaw im seeing with a lot of these theories, all of them assume that theres only ONE of each warden.
We know this isnt true, the wardens are like any other species, and can reproduce. There are many verdant wardens, ardor wardens, novus wardens etc. We see these in their description boxes, and they all serve to protect sonaria, as in its embedded into their species' dna.
So im confused as to why "novus warden" could've done something bad when, it isnt even an individual entity, its a whole species, with multiple novus wardens in sonarias population.
I dont have a theory as to why whatever civilization that built these shrines decided to class the novus warden as the false ones, but the fact that its statue is broken down and drowned could mean the novus wardens are fully extinct in sonaria, hence providing an in-universe explanation as to why its not coming back.
the first of the species, the elder novus, the leader of the novus's were the one who is chained up (my theory)
the statues are not imprisionments more likely made to respect each warden as a guardian and the novuses could be uras who wanted to be wardens and worked as a group to convinced the sixth probably aquatic wardens to hide away (aquatics are strong for their tier but you can only choose one strength or smarts) and when it comes to novus births they probably just hide away from everyone else and get the materials to make fake baby novus that are really just disguised baby uras
I think the statues are archon wardens because they are bigger than the actual wardens. And the "lie" behind the novus rock was meaning that he is still alive and the statue is fake
