      This is glorious, I been tryin to find out about "secret energy cosmic calendar" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you ever come across - Bannrial Bizarre Bulldozer - (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now ) ? It is a smashing exclusive guide for discovering your mayan day sign and the clues it has to your future without the normal expense. Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my brother in law got cool success with it.

    This really highlights the fact that so much of what we deal with and go through as a species is so primitive in the grand scheme of things and is so petty and not worth it our lives are cosmic miracles and yet we forget just how self-important we’ve become

    I feel even more meaningless

    • @jasminehaha3712
      @jasminehaha3712 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      good. this is the closest you have gotten to the cosmic truth: life is without meaning. we attribute meaning and purpose to the traumatic event of being born (the first thing every baby does after coming our of the mother s womb is crying and screming, covered in bodily fluid. those who don't are stillborns) and staying alive; when something terrible happens we can't help but to think: it happened for a reason. But the truth is that there is none, evolution and human prosperity is a game of chance. Knowing this however does not make us nihilists. Enbrace it, be glad, consider yourself absolved, excused and freed from the burden of a life long search of meaning and purpose for there is none; this is liberation.

      @@jasminehaha3712 thank you for this amazing comment. I’m struggling so hard to accept the concept of death and that in 200 years there’ll be a complete brand new population of people and our individual selves will all mostly be forgotten and we’ll be in the ground. Very hard to have fun and enjoy myself with this constantly racing through my head, but now I will think to the cosmic truth and try accept it.

    When I was in the third grade I built a model of the solar system. Crude as it was, it provided a "secure" base for knowing where I was: one planet in a neat heliocentric system. In high school my mind opened up to the Milky Way galaxy, then to the realization that there are other galaxies. What Tyson shows us here is enough to make me feel overwhelmed. I could not imagine watching this video on any hallucinogen.

    • @belleboo3679

      I’m watching this and reading through the comments trying to find some comfort in my existential crisis that has been going on for a week now. Cannot wrap my head around existence never mind these THOUSanDS OF GALAXIES

    • @rr7firefly
      @rr7firefly 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@belleboo3679 It is very overwhelming. But at some point we have to forego the actual ability to absorb the reality of this enormous scale. When I took a college course in Existentialist writers (assigned, not chosen) there were times when I'd start to lose any shred of optimism that I still had. The idea of a Universe that is indifferent to our existence is profoundly unsettling. But that is not the province of the mind, much less the heart. We live on a planet that is filled with natural diversity: wondrous things that are connected in a web that includes us. That is the realm that can save us all from embracing meaninglessness. The "Crisis of Faith" (different to every one of us) -- can be a passage that ultimately leads to an appreciation of what we actually have. For me that means allowing myself to stop worrying (overthinking) and to take a walk outside. In a natural setting if that is available.

      I know this is a year old comment but, we havent yet observed another planet with life. If we happened to be the only planet within our observable universe harboring life, then the blades of grass in your backyard might be one of the most significant and most important things in the universe

    You know what's faster than the speed of light...
    Frames per second, the second frame comes instant...

    • @ct-hv1uz
      @ct-hv1uz 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Frames are actually drawn piece by piece when your screen tries to show them to you. Just so fast that it traces all of the information across your brain faster than your brain can distinguish two moments of time. And even if each piece was added in an instant, if you were looking at your screen at any angle other than perfectly flat... Some of the pieces would still hit your eye not all at once because the speed of light would make pixels farther from your eye lag behind in time. But it's ok because nature was kind enough to give us bodies that do not worry about all the activity that happens on such short times.

      Alcubierre drive -- Warp Drive, mathematically possible but without some form of negative energy that we can't make if it even exists, is the issue So most people just say it wont happen. It Can reach 10x the speed of light theoretically "10c without being affected by time dilation." Still puts andromeda 253 thousand years of travel to get too. 2500 years at 10c to travel the radius of the milky way. Nearest earthlike planet is 4 light years away which would be 4/10 of a year at 10c or about 5 months to travel there which aint to bad. Proxima Centauri b is the planet.

    Your world, Urantia, is one of many similar inhabited planets which comprise the local universe of Nebadon. This universe, together with similar creations, makes up the superuniverse of Orvonton, from whose capital, Uversa, our commission hails. Orvonton is one of the seven evolutionary superuniverses of time and space which circle the never-beginning, never-ending creation of divine perfection - the central universe of Havona. At the heart of this eternal and central universe is the stationary Isle of Paradise, the geographic center of infinity and the dwelling place of the eternal God.
    0.6 (1)
    The seven evolving superuniverses in association with the central and divine universe, we commonly refer to as the grand universe; these are the now organized and inhabited creations. They are all a part of the master universe, which also embraces the uninhabited but mobilizing universes of outer space.
