The Avocado is an all-natural, organic hybrid mattress that supports most sleepers. The latex layers offer a plush surface and a cooling sleep. And, the optional pillow-top adds even more cushioning to accommodate side sleepers and nearly all light-weight sleepers.
The Avocado is a hybrid mattress with a firmness rating around 7 on our 10-point firmness scale.

The Avocado is available in all six standard sizes, and is backed by a 25-year warranty. Buyers can purchase the Avocado directly through the brand’s website, and at showrooms in New Jersey and California.
Shipping is free to all 50 U.S. states, and customers receive a generous, 365-night sleep trial. White Glove delivery is available for an additional fee.
Avocado is a hybrid mattress made up of three layers, and totaling 11 inches thick.
The top comfort layer is 2 inches of organic, sustainably sourced latex. This layer helps air circulate around the body, and prevents sleepers from sinking too far into the support core.
The transition layer is 1-inch of adaptive, hi core memory foam with a density of 3.5 pounds per cubic foot
The Avocado features a strong support core made with over a thousand, 8” pocketed coils. These coils are zoned with 3 different gauge thicknesses to offer targeted support for the spine and neck.
The support core rests on an additional 1” layer of latex to give the core additional stability.
The mattress is wrapped in an organic cotton and wool cover that promotes additional cooling and moisture wicking.
For an additional cost, buyers can add an optional European-style quilted pillow-top. This layer is filled with 2 inches of organic latex rubber foam, and gives sleepers a plush feel.
The standard Avocado mattress rates about a 7/10 on our firmness scale, while the optional pillow-top gives the bed a rating of 6/10.
The standard Avocado mattress is an excellent choice for most mid- and heavier-weight sleepers. However, we recommend the pillow-top version for side sleepers and most light-weight sleepers.
Pressure relief was about average on the standard Avocado, while the plush surface of the pillow-topped bed earned an above average rating in our tests.
The Avocado isolated motion better than most latex mattresses, but it earns an average rating from our testing.
Thicker gauge steel coils help reinforce the edges of the Avocado, giving it an above average rating.
Finally, the latex comfort layers and organic cover, circulate air and draw heat and moisture away from the body. As a result, the Avocado earns an above average rating for temperature control.

2:53 There is NO memory foam in any of the avocado mattresses. There is only the natural latex, cotton, wool, and recycled steel. What he’s touching is the latex foam.

tried this mattress… it’s extremely well made but extremely firm. i’m 200 lbs / 5’11. tried adding a topper and didn’t like the zoned feel either. am a back sleeper. returned.

Good for Avocado for being socially and environmentally conscious. Seems like a perfect fit for lightweight side sleepers like myself, although I'd have to go with that pillow top version to get the best sleep!
