We , as fba, have fought the good fight. Civil rights, human rights ect paving the way for those who would come after. Then, for those immigrants to get here and look down their nose at us is crazy. They started the division. They wouldn't be able to come here and fet all they do if our family, ancestors hadn't made a way for them. We will not be disrespected.

As a afro-Puerto Rican I know better. Fat Joe is out of his mind. Even Latin music gets its roots from Africa. Hip Hop started from Black Youth Street Culture, Break Dancing started from Black Youth Street Culture. No one was mixing salsa music, nor was we breaking to salsa music. All respect to the culture and I am blessed to had been apart of it, and I'm still apart of it as a Producer/DJ. I was in the parks in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, etc... and never saw Ricans leading nothing. And my house was different, I never had Puerto Rican friends... all my friends growing up were black or other... I lead with my blackness first, then I am Puerto Rican/Trinidadian (for I'm a mixed child). FBA is Hip Hop!!! And no, the Jamaican Dee Jay's didn't invent Hip Hop. It was called Toasting (aka Jamaican Dee Jaying). Toasting is a style of lyrical chanting which in Dancehall music involves a deejay talking over a riddim. The 1980s saw the first deejay toasting duo, Michigan & Smiley, and the development of toasting outside of Jamaica. In the early 1970s with the rise of Dub Big Youth became popular, also Prince Jazzbo in his early appearance toasting with more cadence on Dubs. In the late 1970s, Trinity followed. DJ Kool Herc's 1973 "Back to School Jam" is often credited with launching the hip-hop. This was way before toasting began. I will always give the black forefathers of hip hop the honors before anyone. This Afro Puerto Rican knows better.

I (a black man) was told by many Africans and several Caribbean people I have met in my life how they were told by THEIR parents and relatives not to speak or deal with black Americans unless you absolutely have to. I was not mad at all that these people told me things because their were honest about it but I then made sure to keep my distance from them also. MOST black folks and MOST white folks in America are the most giving and caring people on planet earth I can NOT say that about any other race of peoples.

Foundational Black Americans positive contributions to the world and humanity is simply overwhelming and it makes some people very very uncomfortable, even some of our own people refuse to face this uplifting fact of our people. It was already written! And our accomplishments are too impactful and powerful for some people to acknowledge for multiple reasons. But, what’s most important is that WE continue to know ourselves. The culture of FBA is extraordinarily impressive. We share it globally, and its significant impact leads many to feel as though they have contributed to its formation.
This highlights the exceptional nature of our culture. This phenomenon can be attributed to our open and welcoming stance, inviting all individuals to engage with our culture without any form of exclusion.
This includes people of all races, not just Black and Brown, but also White individuals. Elvis was influenced by our cultural heritage, and Hank Williams, often recognized as the father of country music, was mentored by the renowned Rufus "Tee-Tot" Payne.
Sister Shahrazad Ali expressed that the deeper one delves into the planet 🌎,
the more one discovers the richness of Black culture.

I lived out there and FBA’s really shit on the Jamaicans, Haitians, and Latinos. In fact, in that area they had a tradition called Haitian Friday’s where the Americans would beat up Haitians for no reason. Hence why they started Zoe Pound. They had to protect themselves. Racism exists everywhere!! I’m PR by the way. On my island whether you’re Black, White, or indigenous, you are PR.
