I'm really starting to enjoy listening to this show when the 2 of you are chatting, boMlotshwa. I have been raising my kids using this "dark side theory" but didn't have the terminology or vocab for it. Was even telling them not so long ago that I want them to be so independent that they will be able to function without me. Was scared maybe I'm being too hard on them but unfortunately that's how I was also raised by my mom.

Been watching the Last Kingdom on Netflix, this story line has a lot to do with tapping into your shadow to survive or succeed. You have to be a better warrior than the opponent in order to kill and conquer. And once you’ve seen that side of you trust me there’s no turning back no matter how painful or the amount of loss. Guys by far this was the best podcast episode thank you. ❤

I relate to this so much it's scary lol a little disappointing because I thought my best friend and I were special, I'm super glad that there are more brothers out there who are this honest & aware, by the way I attribute everything that I am today to Napoleon Hills Think & Grow Rich, I was lucky to bump into it in my early 20s. Keep up the great work Pen!
it feels like i grew up with you two , watching and reading exact same stuff, like i can almost relate to all the topics you've touched on, whether its the books, authors, life coaches et al, i've really been there. my 2 cents to the conversation, is that i feel life as a whole is a series of dualities, darkness and lights, ups and downs. but each moment is both cyclical and linear. its like a loop. if you become the same person after an experience, you are then certainly going to undergo the same experience, and feel the same emotions. therefore in each experience the experience must prepare, grow, mature and teach you skills that the next experience only repeats this cycle but makes you better than before.
The more I listen to you guys is the more I get confused who's the oldest😅, big up to you gents🙌 Izinqolobane zolwazi👑🙏 Changing the narrative on every level🙌
Very powerful episode bros, especially the analogy of the great Kai Greene and Ronnie Coleman both whom I have had pleasure to meet a couple of times and what gentle giants they are.
I can relate and I am on the losing side... You've just expalined something I've been struggling with for the longest of time and that is emmersing yourself into what you want to be and it goes back to what you're discussing with your brother. Me being a single parent to a girl, you want to cushion them from the world and handle them kit gloves and not being there for her (my biggest fear) And I'm only reading Nelson Mandela's Long Walk to Freedom and this book has been there since it was released... I'm learning that he had to sacrifice and gave up having a family life (his son asked his mother at 5yrs where his father stays and he had been coming home but his son was asleep when he came home and left early in the morning) He sacrificed weekends and 27 years of his life I'm finding that because of this, I'm making excuses to go out and leave my daughter to live her life and experience it for herself. Im experiencing my dark side now through my struggle and I cry like a child because I'm ot acclimatised to struggle because my parents gave up a lot to give me this cushioned life and want the same for her but I am realising that I'm doing her a disfavor The question is: "Am I prepared to take the road less travelled?" I know I have to answer that question myself and just like you I hate tenderpreneurship because it is a lazy way of becoming rich with short cuts (bribes) and ironically hurting ourselves without realising it and why we are where we are as a country and moreover teaching people the wrong way to becoming enterpreneurs (I stand to be corrected) Thank you for the lessons, I look forward to learning and I've chosen to take an active role and participate fully whenever I can I'm finding myself on this journey and having to rewrite what I've come to know about myself
