@Raghav Bansal I had exactly the same question, but I was able to understand it in this way. Before the point where voltage inversion occurs, it is easy to see why the power curves are the same because the I-V curves remain unchanged. When the by-pass diode is added across cell 2, after the point of voltage inversion, the I-V curve instead follows that of cell 1. However, note that as the current approaches Isc1, the voltage across cell 1 becomes zero, and therefore P = Isc1*V = Isc1*0 = 0, so the power curve must also approach zero. Whereas cell 2 no longer sinks negative power, cell 1 must then compensate by sourcing less power. Hope that helps!
True, and the curve changes, check this curve: images.app.goo.gl/LVBJdRuHhwWJ8b33A And for more interesting curves check this : www.researchgate.net/publication/312519780_Modelling_and_Output_Power_Evaluation_of_Series-Parallel_Photovoltaic_Modules
very well said said, thanks for sharing, could you be able to simulate the PV shading and how bypass diode contributes in the system
Sir if Cell 2 has been bypassed, why the power curve is still same.. the negative power will be removed so power should rise. right ?
