    What a difference it makes to watch people who are honest and totally natural instead of those who push their own ideas and therapies, or sell products or services. These two wonderful individuals are so full of love and humbleness and curiosity towards life's phenomena that my heart sings listening to them. You both rock!

    This video explained to me that I was identifying as a wounded healer attaching this identity even to the point of self sabotage. Never understanding how the expense of not fitting in was too costly for me. When you reduce or eliminate what is causing emotional and/or psychological indigestion or dis-ease, you heal once and for all.

    Dr. Rangan, this interview was fabulous! You do not realize how exposing yourself in this interview, how much you helped me and I am sure so many many others. Thank you for being so vulnerable, you have done a great service to humanity and I hope that thousands of people see this because we don’t want anyone to know what we are feeling, but when anyone exposes themselves like you did, it releases something in us that sets us free.Peter is wonderful, I listen to him a lot too. Thank God I listened to this podcast. Keep on keeping on

    One of the difficulties to realize is that today, I'm not the same person I was 25, 15 or 5 years ago. I have changed; today, I would make different decisions than I did in the past. I learned to cut myself some slack.

      ❤YES! You are exactly right! I often look back and wish I had chosen a different, more understanding pathway with some of my loved ones. But then I think, “ But I have learned from my past mistakes-I’m older and wiser now…won’t be so blind again. I’m grateful for my emotional growth and my more understanding heart and soul! This helps me the avoid the paralyzing guilt and sorrow which has sometimes swept over me as I look back at some of my lost opportunities…and words or choices which cannot be undone. ( And I have learned the Absolute Joy which comes from apologizing! 🥳🎼🫠)

    The whole conversation was really good and useful. Most interesting part for me was when the host asked Peter what he thought of the host - and Peter answered honestly and spot on as far as I could tell. I’ve never seen that before in an interview! Takes guts from the host to ask this. Peter’s response was well observed and good advice for lots of perfectionist-types and recovering perfectionists out there, including me. Thanks to you both.

    Fabulous stuff ! Around 36.00 you talk about childish tantrum...a behaviour based on childhood experience (of 1 thing or another). How do you deal with grief (death experiences / loss from early age), that reflects painful memories from childhood, which manifest in anxious ways of reacting, as an adult. Would you call the need for being hugged, a tantrum, if it sparks no action from a lover, for example ? Thank you !

    Well what do you do if the future is not illusory? For example, if what you actually fear is the panic attack itself which happens many times for years on end. A panic attack is not illusory, they happen and are traumatic most times they happen. Sure the advice is good if the fear is a random something you might be worrying about but for many people it's the attack itself that is feared. A lot of the time it's not thoughts either, it's a feeling, a biological sensation, an emotion not structured sentences in the mind. Currently the way I'm dealing with that each and every time I feel a certain way is to acknowledge that I don't give a shit anymore because it's only gonna last 20 minutes anyway. The more I acknowledge this, the more I know it, realise it, mean it, and subsequently care less.

    • @user-lp4wk8hb7u
      @user-lp4wk8hb7u 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The panic attacks may be the result of your fear of the future. Maybe if you can stop your mind from expecting panic attacks and redirect your thoughts and energy to self-comfort you can start to change your future in a positive cycle.
