Awesome to see a truly fast rider on a nearly stock bike out there, racing it against all the other brands… Yeap confirms its all the rider and good setup… lol he didn’t even have the best tires on it, nor was he use to it… which I know from riding my Rmz 450 after a lifetime a Kawasaki, it didn’t take long at all just 20 minutes on the bike to feel super comfortable with it
it's weird how some say it's slow, yet most people say 450's are too much and a 350 is perfect. Then you put a big bore kit on a 250 and they say, dude that bike is sick. Then they ride a zook and say if it only had a little more grunt or topend pull. It's funny how the kawi and honda have detuned their bikes and now with only a pipe the zook has the same hp. Suspension setup is key for the zook, if you want a little more juice then a high compression piston, pipe and mapping, it's right there with all of them and more than anybody will ever need, barring a top pro on the national circuit. These tracks they are riding are so much better than what the pro's of the past ever rode on, so today's riders are a bit spoiled with the phenomenal bikes available today. The zook is a 2018 bike competing with 2024's and I saw one the other day that hadn't even been started and they only wanted 4800 for it, so for a bike that can be had new or nearly new for around 4500-7k, then the zook is King.
Get lainer rebound stopper for the rear, its dirt cheap, I used it when I was riding, alot of pros have started using it, helps over rough bumps etc into corners to help settle the rear more. I also used race tech gold valves front n rear and my suzuki suspension was well balanced and I rarely had weird kicks n suspension reactions

You're talking about internet snobs.. they claim the bike is junk, but yet 95% of the people are slow as fuck to begin with. They're the C class riders who sign up in A class practice group an don't jump every jump an get in everyone's way. Then they pull off the track an claim their " bike set up ain't right " etc. Suzuki is a lot better than what people say it is.
You pretty much have to set up any MX bike's suspension. Suzuki's are notoriously stiff. And after spending 300 bucks on fork and a shock spring, you'll still be saving thousands compared to KTM's, etc. If these bikes were fast enough for Carmichael and Stewart, they are fast enough for the average Joe.
Stock suzuki suspension sucks. I can confirm because my friend has one and it takes time to set it up. Makes you wonder who the F tests bikes and says, yes sell the bike like this. Disgruntled test riders? I also noticed the 450 vibrates like mad.
I have to agree with you on the suspension, but with the money you save buying it compared to the next cheapest bike, you could get aftermarket suspension
@Ayden Rich I wouldn't do that. Just revalve or get race tech gold valves. It still takes time. But if you spend money getting ohlins or something, you spend all that money and still stuck with a heavy vibrating 450 with no e-start. It's just better to spend more now and get something better without the hassle.
Sell the Zook, I got a 22.5 Factory Edition Husky 450 in Junction, for $9500 11 hrs, Palmers would be a perfect home 😆 it's on c-list western slope, started a new business and I wish I had the time, suspension, pipe, and some mapping would definitely help the yellow steed🤙
