I was told, 2 years, when I ordered the car in October 2022. Just before Christmas I get a call from my dealer 10 weeks - Now its the end of January 2023, and the car has been built, its just awaiting shipment which when I call Chevy hot line they say 3 to 6 weeks - but since its already a week - they thought I will have it in 2 - 3 weeks - Mine is a 2023 C8 Silver Flair 3 LT bright red dipped full interior, Forged wheels and the body color option so there is NO BLACK disruptions on the sides, air intake, and air exhaust in the rear, also the Engine louver on the back top is the body color as well - Also NO WING - it has a more European look that a race car, - a lot more sophisticated. Also am paying MSRP - no rediclous "market Adjustment - BS"

U are definitely an exception to the process..I put in my order Beginning of Oct 2021..took delivery Nov 14th.it was rough ..if anything u HAVE to be Patient...no one can control how fast the Bolingreen Assembly builds cars or what those folks down there are faced with..as a Union person myself I understand the complexities of running a Plant and getting paid for what u do..people have to realize they are building your personal car..I want t by em to do it right..although I'm sure Mngmt is pushing to do more..But for u to go from 1100 right to 3000 status is almost unheard off..count your Blessings..and by the way nice Car...I also have a 2023 hypersonic gray Convertible..2LT Convertible Z51 ..Love it..

I was fortunate to be able to go to the manufacturer last year at the end of the year. The tour guide said depending on the model ordered the wait was 12-24 months before delivery. This was around the time your car was in production too. Not sure how you managed to get your car that quick but that is awesome. The production of the C8 is so streamlined and the building is neat and clean. I was impressed. Unfortunately we were there during shift change and did not see a car roll of the line as the shift change takes about 30 minutes and all productions stops. We were at the end of the line during the shift change. I want to order one, just have to convince the boss 😜
looks good. Ive had a deposit down for 2 years for an -Eray and still have more time to wait. I some people are hyped of the news seawolf color but I still think they color you have looks better if I was going to do a gray.
The E-Ray looks amazing! I agree, even if I could pick another color on a Z06 or E-Ray, I’d still pick this hypersonic gray. The sea wolf gray looks like clay, there’s nothing really special about the paint finish.
Congrats 4 months is really good! Those who ordered 2 or 3 years before had to wait close to a year due to parts tornado etc. Now the bottom is starting to fall. There is a Chevy dealer in Akron has one sitting on showroom floor at $3500 off Msrp. It’s all about timing. With about 150,000 built so far I think they know what they are doing by now!
What is the dealership you'd recommend for me to order one? I tried in August 2022 and they still don't have an allocation. They just told me they don't think they will get one until 2024. I'd love to use whoever you'd recommend to order mine. I'll order it tomorrow!
U.B, The factory keeps every new Corvette in the factory lot for 2 weeks to insure no parts currently being used are defective. If the cars were shipped out they would have to be recalled. This info was learned during a factory tour earlier this month.
Got my allocation around the middle of may. Went to 3000 status May 17. Still havent had any change in status like 6 weeks later. Hoping it will have a TPW soon.
the SIMPLE FACT is, They are not selling as well as in the past, and that equates to shorter wait times.. with civil unrest every where in this nation, and getting worse every day, in one year, they might be on a dealers floor waiting for the buyer..I was a fleet manger for Ford for 20 Years and I see things that other don't see, or even understand. On the other side of this, I ordered My first new car, a 1965 Chevy 2 door HT Impala SS, 300Hp four speed in august 1964, with out even seeing what it would look like, and still remember driving it home that Night, Jan 13, 1965, from the dealer in Pasadena, ca, to my home in Long beach Ca. I turned On the AM FM, radio, and the song was "I'm in with the in crowd" the experience wasn't as good as My first time getting Laided, but was close....LMFAO
Awsome exterior color/rim combination! Has car been ceramic coated-----looks spectacular. BTW, how times have changed. Have a C7 Z51 Corvette Racing yellow exterior that I purchased from a small dealership in Pa. Purchased car with about a 20% DISCOUNT from MSRP (this included regular dealer discount, dealer purchase certificate credit and Chevrolet market zone discount based on the zip code I registered the car in). Dealer even delivered the car in covered car carrier to my residence (a couple of hundred miles) at no charge!
Thank you! It hasn’t been ceramic coated yet, but I plan on getting it along with front PPF as well. It’s definitely crazy how much times have changed. That’s a great deal you got. I still stop and stare at C7’s, I love that body style!
First time corvette buyer here, ordered my stingray last year in September and was assuming it would be a ‘24 model year until the extended ‘23 production was announced. Ended up lucking out & got one of the 129 allocations in April, hoping for a production date soon and to be on the road before the first official day of summer 🚀
@@PS-zw4yc coincidentally, it’s my production week starting tomorrow. Dealership told me if it’s built early in the week, I will have the car late June if it’s built towards the end of the week, then early July. We’ll see..

My Z51 3LT went to 3000 in early February. I was told to expect the car in late May or early June. My 66th birthday is in fact today June 17. I was hoping to see the car by today. I am happy to say that the car showed up in mid April! Amazing to see the car run past 3000 like in Z Mode turned all the way up! I am a car guy. Hated Corvettes all my life. But the C8 is a sea change! What an amazing car! Chevy did a superb job! Hang in there! Things are loosening up. The wait gets shorter. This car is worth the $$ and wait!
I put order in for my 2023 in June at my dealership. My dealership got the allocation for one in July, but it was for a Z51 in which i didn't want. The finance manager at the dealership got the allocation. After his was placed in the 3000 status. They received another allocation in August, so I put my down payment in, and in the middle of September, I received the notification that I was in the 3000 status. In the middle of October, I was at 3400. By the first week of November, I got the notification that my car was completed, and I picked it up on the 15th of November. To add icing on the cake, I got it for MSRP, and the price lock was accepted (because I placed my order before the price changed in June). With that being said, I received a price lock check from GM. Hypersonic Grey Metallic, 2LT, mag ride, front lift, HTC.
It took 4 months for me to get my 2023 Z06. Ordered it August 19, 2022 … picked it up on December 22 at the dealership. If you want a car at least go try… you never know…

This is hypersonic gray metallic. It is a dark gray with a lot of metallic flake, but it also has a slightly greenish tint to it. It changes color in different lighting

@@dantesantoyo3460 My dealer had an allocation for my order, so 2-3 days after I placed my order with my dealership, I received an email from GM stating that they received my order and I’m at 3000 status.
I put a down payment in March 2022 and my car is scheduled to be built the week of 06Feb2023. I fell into the 12 month timeline. Question for C8 owners: how long did it take to go from 3800 to 5000? I had a C7 Z06 and I am looking forward to getting the C8 Z51 2LT. On another point, I did have to chase the dealer on constrained items and did not get notified unless I followed up with them, so beware of that (hopefully constraints will be a thing of the past). The other thing is I had to chase the dealer to order my high wing, since they remove it from the order and now is an accessory. Hopefully, they will have the high wing installed when I get my car. Good video.
after being built, it is put in their lot - probably waiting for other orders going in the same direction so that the truck can hold 7 or so Corvettes- will efficiently get them to around the same area - the Hot line told me - after being built - 3 - 6 weeks- recently they told me 2 weeks or so - also my dealer is letting me know - I will have it SOON ! hope this helps !
So the high comes separately!! It is normally installed by a local body shop mine took about 2 hours a few days after I took the car home!! I got mine on January 11 ordered it October 27 and was able to get the wing included with build my only constraint was the black 20 spoke
I got my name on a list with a dealer that says they will sell it for retail with no markup. They didn't want a down payment for being on the list, which I thought was great. They cautioned me that they were a low allocation dealer and it would take some time to get it. That was in October 2022. They have since contacted me twice to submit my final order, but each time I had to add the Z51 package which I don't want because I plan to drive it year-round. I'm still waiting to submit my order, and now expect that it will be for a 2024 model. I may add the Z51 package if that remains a requirement!
I understand not getting the Z51 if you really don’t want it, especially since you’re getting it at MSRP. I was in the same boat, but I’m honestly so glad I went z51 for the extra radiator and engine cooling alone. Getting a 2024 model will be nice! Congratulations and thanks for watching!
@@u.b.469 I’m up in the NC mountains and we get some cold temps in the winter. Summer tires shouldn’t be used when it gets to the mid 30s. If I’m forced to get a Z51, I’ll change the tires. I’m all over the place on color. Yours looks great because it shows the great sculpting of the body. (Retired auto designer here.) Good luck with your C8!
I had ordered my new 2022 C8 from the best Corvette dealer in the world, MacMulkin Chevrolet, in Feb. 2021. I got my delivery in November 2021. So it took 9 months.
@@advancedhittingtraining8233 I am in Colorado. MacMulkin arranged to have Chevrolet ship my new C8 to a local Chevrolet dealer saving me a lot of shipping charges. My local Chevy dealer was also very helpful and I paid them for prepping and delivering my C8. This was a very convenient arrangement.

I ordered my C-8 back in 2019. During Covid, I decided to cancel my order. Now, I'm ready again. This video is just what I was looking for. I'm planning on waiting up to 18 months, but there is hope that it may be quicker. One question....do you have any idea if ordering from a BIG corvette dealer is better than a smaller one? Would the car come faster if I went to a dealer that gets more cars??
I would go to a smaller dealership personally just because I feel like the lists are shorter than a big one like Ciocca. My local dealership was small like I said and only gets like 2 allocations per month. I could’ve just gotten lucky though
Assuming you can get one for MSRP (Impossible in California), then a local dealership will likely be faster. Otherwise, if you are willing to wait a bit ~10 months, go to MacMulkin. I cannot recommend them enough. I should be getting mine at the end of March, which will be ~10.5 months. I hear in the Corvette Forum that people getting on the list are at a much lower number than when I got on, so it's possible it can be less then 10 months. FYI, MacMulkin is officially the largest corvette dealer in the country, 1486 vettes sold in 2022.

I have a question during the period that you put your deposit and wait for it to be made, let’s say it takes 1 year during that year are you making a monthly payment twards it or do you do that once you receive it
Nope no payments are made on the vehicle until it gets delivered to the dealership and you finance it. The initial deposit is just to hold your place in line for the car.
My Accelerate Yellow 2023 Z51 HTC has a TPW of 03/27 this month with NO CONSTRAINTS. I should have it in my garage NLT "tax day" in April. My dealership started taking care of it's local customers first so I moved to the head of the class and all those out-of-staters got bumped. The Chevy emails are a week or more behind.
@U.B. Yes I went with carbon flash roof and nacelles. Body color looked too much like the coupe. The HTC looks better IMO. Got the 2LT cuz the 3LT has issues with the leather dash delaminating and the carbon fiber interior parts were on constraint. Can't wait to see it in person cuz the GM renders look incredible. When I get it, I'll definitely post it on my TH-cam channel.
@@TheIntimidat3r Nice! I think you made the right choice. I would probably go 2LT if I could do it over again. The leather dash is nice, but not necessary. I just put ceramic tint on the windshield and side windows to protect the dash from the heat and to avoid the delaminating issue. Also keep my car is the garage.

Thanks man I appreciate it! I paid over MSRP for mine and honestly due to some shady stuff that happened at signing with my dealership, I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. If I could do it over again, I’d just wait for it and pay MSRP. It’s worth the wait
That’s a perfectly valid question and I’ll answer it honestly. I paid a $5k markup on the car. The money wasn’t an issue for me personally and given the total turnaround time to receive the vehicle it was worth it to me.
I ordered mine on Sept 19th 2022! Went to 3000 quickly just like yours. My wheels held me up a bit (20 spoke black forged) My car was built on Jan 5th and was in my garage Jan. 12th! Yes I paid 5k over too and it was worth it to get it in a little over four months. Great spec by the way! Congrats! 👍😎
Before ordering - other dealers would tell me 5 to 15 grand "market Adjustment" - I would ask them what is it that I would get for this scam " Market adjustment" - their reply was not acceptable - My local Dealer told me MSRP - they got the order, its already built, and will arrive in a few weeks - just waiting for shipment.

Good question. I wanted the red trim on the dash but I didn’t want red seats or two tone seats. I wanted all black seats with red stitching. 3LT is the only way you can get that color combo. I love all the leather and alcantara on the interior roof, but if I bought another C8 again, I would just do 2LT.
Because I like the way red and black looks. It actually costs more since the interior and dashboard is all leather and the seats don’t normally come in black when you do red trim.
How much did you put as a downpayment? Also what is the monthly payment on it and out the door price? Just trying to get an idea for when I try to get one.

Payed 90K for my 2023 Z51, put 10k Down financed the rest. Payment is about $1150/Month. Insurance can depend on how your driving record is and where your located. 12month wait.

U can make 50k a year and a 1LT is affordable. My used 🐈 was 60k & my c8 I just ordered was around 70k. A 10k down payment will put U around $1000 a month for 6 yrs
Shop around those cars are being sold for MSRP now. I ordered mine in Orlando and they sold it to me for MSRP still waiting. Put my order in April 1, 2023 will receive a 2024 model.
My C8 took 12 months ordered dec 21 as 2022 model received dec 22 as 2023 model. Dealer got allocation for my order in October of 22. When allocation came up I had to switch to z51 package. Non of the chevy tracking system worked for me I got no notifications on my order.
@@u.b.469 about 2 - 3 weeks after ordering my C-8 - I called the dealer, asking to add the radiator grills - they replied it was too late as the vehicle was already closed for additions - then in 2 weeks or so - I got the message 10 weeks - not sure if I will put the grillls in - will see -
@@phillewis8839 They really should’ve put them in from the factory honestly. The radiators are way too exposed. Mine have a couple of dings already at 2500 miles, so I definitely want to protect them if possible
I ordered them, and the dealer will install them - took less than 4 months from the time I placed the order, till delivery - Great Car - I think a few people that had ordered a Stingray - canceled either because of the higher interest rates, specially when financing a lot of money, also some would cancel and order a Z06 - the dealer also suggested to me - that since mine was a 3 LT - and a larger chunk of money for every one - they might have pushed me up in the line -

You were happy to get a 2023 in mid to late 2023? Instead of late 2022 when most new models come out. By the time you got it the newer model should have been out. You got hosed
I was happy to get a 2023 in late 2022, yes. The 2023 stingray model year didn’t start until May 2022 and even if ordered right away, you still have to wait 6-9 months to get it. You’d be in the same boat with the approaching 2025 model year. I didn’t get hosed. You didn’t do your research.

U.B, The factory keeps every new Corvette in the factory lot for 2 weeks to insure no parts currently being used are defective. If the cars were shipped out they would have to be recalled. This info was learned during a factory tour earlier this month.
Got my allocation around the middle of may. Went to 3000 status May 17. Still havent had any change in status like 6 weeks later. Hoping it will have a TPW soon.

the SIMPLE FACT is, They are not selling as well as in the past, and that equates to shorter wait times.. with civil unrest every where in this nation, and getting worse every day, in one year, they might be on a dealers floor waiting for the buyer..I was a fleet manger for Ford for 20 Years and I see things that other don't see, or even understand. On the other side of this, I ordered My first new car, a 1965 Chevy 2 door HT Impala SS, 300Hp four speed in august 1964, with out even seeing what it would look like, and still remember driving it home that Night, Jan 13, 1965, from the dealer in Pasadena, ca, to my home in Long beach Ca. I turned On the AM FM, radio, and the song was "I'm in with the in crowd" the experience wasn't as good as My first time getting Laided, but was close....LMFAO

BTW, how times have changed. Have a C7 Z51 Corvette Racing yellow exterior that I purchased from a small dealership in Pa. Purchased car with about a 20% DISCOUNT from MSRP (this included regular dealer discount, dealer purchase certificate credit and Chevrolet market zone discount based on the zip code I registered the car in). Dealer even delivered the car in covered car carrier to my residence (a couple of hundred miles) at no charge!

First time corvette buyer here, ordered my stingray last year in September and was assuming it would be a ‘24 model year until the extended ‘23 production was announced. Ended up lucking out & got one of the 129 allocations in April, hoping for a production date soon and to be on the road before the first official day of summer 🚀

My Z51 3LT went to 3000 in early February. I was told to expect the car in late May or early June. My 66th birthday is in fact today June 17. I was hoping to see the car by today. I am happy to say that the car showed up in mid April! Amazing to see the car run past 3000 like in Z Mode turned all the way up! I am a car guy. Hated Corvettes all my life. But the C8 is a sea change! What an amazing car! Chevy did a superb job! Hang in there! Things are loosening up. The wait gets shorter. This car is worth the $$ and wait!

I put order in for my 2023 in June at my dealership. My dealership got the allocation for one in July, but it was for a Z51 in which i didn't want. The finance manager at the dealership got the allocation. After his was placed in the 3000 status. They received another allocation in August, so I put my down payment in, and in the middle of September, I received the notification that I was in the 3000 status. In the middle of October, I was at 3400. By the first week of November, I got the notification that my car was completed, and I picked it up on the 15th of November. To add icing on the cake, I got it for MSRP, and the price lock was accepted (because I placed my order before the price changed in June). With that being said, I received a price lock check from GM.

This is hypersonic gray metallic. It is a dark gray with a lot of metallic flake, but it also has a slightly greenish tint to it. It changes color in different lighting

I put a down payment in March 2022 and my car is scheduled to be built the week of 06Feb2023. I fell into the 12 month timeline. Question for C8 owners: how long did it take to go from 3800 to 5000? I had a C7 Z06 and I am looking forward to getting the C8 Z51 2LT. On another point, I did have to chase the dealer on constrained items and did not get notified unless I followed up with them, so beware of that (hopefully constraints will be a thing of the past). The other thing is I had to chase the dealer to order my high wing, since they remove it from the order and now is an accessory. Hopefully, they will have the high wing installed when I get my car. Good video.
Ordered in October 2022 - told 2 years plus - just before Christmas they told me 10 weeks - put a grand down, will pay the balance - not financing it
after being built, it is put in their lot - probably waiting for other orders going in the same direction so that the truck can hold 7 or so Corvettes- will efficiently get them to around the same area - the Hot line told me - after being built - 3 - 6 weeks- recently they told me 2 weeks or so - also my dealer is letting me know - I will have it SOON ! hope this helps !

So the high comes separately!! It is normally installed by a local body shop mine took about 2 hours a few days after I took the car home!! I got mine on January 11 ordered it October 27 and was able to get the wing included with build my only constraint was the black 20 spoke

My 2023' C8 took eleven months.....Well worth the wait.
I got my name on a list with a dealer that says they will sell it for retail with no markup. They didn't want a down payment for being on the list, which I thought was great. They cautioned me that they were a low allocation dealer and it would take some time to get it. That was in October 2022. They have since contacted me twice to submit my final order, but each time I had to add the Z51 package which I don't want because I plan to drive it year-round. I'm still waiting to submit my order, and now expect that it will be for a 2024 model. I may add the Z51 package if that remains a requirement!
I understand not getting the Z51 if you really don’t want it, especially since you’re getting it at MSRP. I was in the same boat, but I’m honestly so glad I went z51 for the extra radiator and engine cooling alone. Getting a 2024 model will be nice! Congratulations and thanks for watching!
@@u.b.469 I’m up in the NC mountains and we get some cold temps in the winter. Summer tires shouldn’t be used when it gets to the mid 30s. If I’m forced to get a Z51, I’ll change the tires. I’m all over the place on color. Yours looks great because it shows the great sculpting of the body. (Retired auto designer here.) Good luck with your C8!

I had ordered my new 2022 C8 from the best Corvette dealer in the world, MacMulkin Chevrolet, in Feb. 2021.
I got my delivery in November 2021.
So it took 9 months.
Where are you located? And did they ship it to your local dealership?
@@advancedhittingtraining8233 I am in Colorado. MacMulkin arranged to have Chevrolet ship my new C8 to a local Chevrolet dealer saving me a lot of shipping charges. My local Chevy dealer was also very helpful and I paid them for prepping and delivering my C8.

I'm planning on waiting up to 18 months, but there is hope that it may be quicker. One question....do you have any idea if ordering from a BIG corvette dealer is better than a smaller one? Would the car come faster if I went to a dealer that gets more cars??
I would go to a smaller dealership personally just because I feel like the lists are shorter than a big one like Ciocca. My local dealership was small like I said and only gets like 2 allocations per month. I could’ve just gotten lucky though
Assuming you can get one for MSRP (Impossible in California), then a local dealership will likely be faster. Otherwise, if you are willing to wait a bit ~10 months, go to MacMulkin. I cannot recommend them enough. I should be getting mine at the end of March, which will be ~10.5 months. I hear in the Corvette Forum that people getting on the list are at a much lower number than when I got on, so it's possible it can be less then 10 months. FYI, MacMulkin is officially the largest corvette dealer in the country, 1486 vettes sold in 2022.

Nope no payments are made on the vehicle until it gets delivered to the dealership and you finance it. The initial deposit is just to hold your place in line for the car.

My Accelerate Yellow 2023 Z51 HTC has a TPW of 03/27 this month with NO CONSTRAINTS.
I should have it in my garage NLT "tax day" in April.
My dealership started taking care of it's local customers first so I moved to the head of the class and all those out-of-staters got bumped.
The Chevy emails are a week or more behind.
The accelerate yellow is underrated, I love it in person! Did you go with the black roof/nacelles or body color?
@U.B. Yes I went with carbon flash roof and nacelles. Body color looked too much like the coupe. The HTC looks better IMO. Got the 2LT cuz the 3LT has issues with the leather dash delaminating and the carbon fiber interior parts were on constraint.
Can't wait to see it in person cuz the GM renders look incredible.
When I get it, I'll definitely post it on my TH-cam channel.
@@TheIntimidat3r Nice! I think you made the right choice. I would probably go 2LT if I could do it over again. The leather dash is nice, but not necessary. I just put ceramic tint on the windshield and side windows to protect the dash from the heat and to avoid the delaminating issue. Also keep my car is the garage.

That’s a perfectly valid question and I’ll answer it honestly. I paid a $5k markup on the car. The money wasn’t an issue for me personally and given the total turnaround time to receive the vehicle it was worth it to me.

Before ordering - other dealers would tell me 5 to 15 grand "market Adjustment" - I would ask them what is it that I would get for this scam " Market adjustment" - their reply was not acceptable - My local Dealer told me MSRP - they got the order, its already built, and will arrive in a few weeks - just waiting for shipment.

Good question. I wanted the red trim on the dash but I didn’t want red seats or two tone seats. I wanted all black seats with red stitching. 3LT is the only way you can get that color combo.
I love all the leather and alcantara on the interior roof, but if I bought another C8 again, I would just do 2LT.

Payed 90K for my 2023 Z51, put 10k Down financed the rest. Payment is about $1150/Month. Insurance can depend on how your driving record is and where your located. 12month wait.

U can make 50k a year and a 1LT is affordable. My used 🐈 was 60k & my c8 I just ordered was around 70k. A 10k down payment will put U around $1000 a month for 6 yrs

Shop around those cars are being sold for MSRP now. I ordered mine in Orlando and they sold it to me for MSRP still waiting. Put my order in April 1, 2023 will receive a 2024 model.

My C8 took 12 months ordered dec 21 as 2022 model received dec 22 as 2023 model. Dealer got allocation for my order in October of 22. When allocation came up I had to switch to z51 package. Non of the chevy tracking system worked for me I got no notifications on my order.

I ordered them, and the dealer will install them - took less than 4 months from the time I placed the order, till delivery - Great Car - I think a few people that had ordered a Stingray - canceled either because of the higher interest rates, specially when financing a lot of money, also some would cancel and order a Z06 - the dealer also suggested to me - that since mine was a 3 LT - and a larger chunk of money for every one - they might have pushed me up in the line -

There are two C8 models, the stingray and the Z06. You aren’t going to be able to get a Z06 though

You were happy to get a 2023 in mid to late 2023? Instead of late 2022 when most new models come out. By the time you got it the newer model should have been out. You got hosed
I was happy to get a 2023 in late 2022, yes. The 2023 stingray model year didn’t start until May 2022 and even if ordered right away, you still have to wait 6-9 months to get it. You’d be in the same boat with the approaching 2025 model year. I didn’t get hosed. You didn’t do your research.
All the people that paid over $100k for these base models & now you can get a Z06 for $100k 😂 those who are patient always win , Meanwhile those base models are depreciating like mad
This model was $97k MSRP though the way it’s optioned out and still is. You aren’t getting a Z06 for $100k.
