Hello, I have a question. Can I put new headlight switch with rear and front fog lights insted of my old switch which only had rear fog light function even though. I dont have fog lights on my car but I would like to buy them in the future... thanks
Unlikely it will work as won't be a fuse or wiring loom setup for it. Have a look where the front fog lights would go to see if any electrical wiring there. I doubt there is though.
Dear Sir I am very like Ur post because it is very useful but my Volkswagen polo My2016 is type 1 control. It just can put 1 time and not for a second time. And the front light does not turn on pls
Does it have the fog light symbol on it though? Some newer models it's on a separate button. If it is on your switch then maybe the switch is broken, but that's unusual.
Front fogs not working! Hi, I have a 2013 VW Polo. When I pull the switch to the first position, the front fogs do not come on and there is no warning light to say that they are on. However, when I pull it to the second position - the rear fogs do come on with the relevant warning light. I have changed the bulbs at the front but they are still not working. Please help
@@LurgsHowToGuides Hi, can confirm that I definitely have the front fogs as a standard feature. One previous owner that made no modifications. I should have mentioned that there is also a change bulb warning light.
@@highonherbz It's unlikely to be a broken switch if the Rear ones come on ok. Really it's a process of elimination. Check that the Front Fogs are getting 12V to them when the switch is on. Also make sure the engine is running and the headlights are on before you try to put the front fogs on. It sounds like an electrical fault somewhere. Good luck and let me know how you get on.
My 2010 beetle I just tried and the whole knob came out. Where are the fog lights in the first place? My grill up front does not have lights installed. Could that be the reason why the whole knob doesn’t work and came out?

My lights dial only has the one symbol for rear fog, but there are front fog lights fitted at the front. Seems a waste of effort and manufacturing cost. Any knowledge?

Yes that is completely normal, usually only ever one fog light which is on the drivers side at the rear, so nothing to worry about! Happy New Year

Have you definitely got Front Fog Lights on the car? Could be they are not standard and someone has retro fitted them.

Not all cars have front Fog Lights. The switch should just pop back in.
