Well , I was not expecting that . Haha . No spoilers needed . As for this kit . ( I know it is already a proven design and will fly well } . I made wheels using 1 inch I.D. O-rings , and found they weighed too much for my little peanut scale project . I know for a fact that my gluing ( epoxy ) added much of the weight , so I can appreciate your comments on the glue , especially in the tail end . I once tried to apply ... one little drop ... of "THIN" CA out of the Zap bottle ... ONCE .
Big D, I thought it would be a humorous comment. And added intrigue. I am absolutely certain this pup will fly and fly good. I like this kit and will sum up in my next video on the subject. Thin glue, hmmm the trick is to use a disposable thin brush. Then just paint the glue on. But of course those micro pipe adapters are the business too. Well, most of the time. So, waiting for episode 8. So going to mow the lawn this weekend and if weather permitting, flying for a change. Plus, make a George video!
Good progress there Nick, you seem to be getting on quite quickly. I can't say I've really had any problems with the stickers not sticking. The propeller stickers work really well as well, although it's a good idea to put a little soapy water on the blade first to allow a little sliding for positioning. When I first started building MA kits seven years ago there were no videos but there were online assembly guides, if you want an idea on the cowl and engine take a look at my Nieuport 17 build th-cam.com/video/G7ya4ZDasZs/w-d-xo.htmlsi=vfyzSyo0ePuqci8b, cheers 👍
Hi Cliff, MA Have changed their suppliers for the stickers. The old stickers had a white backing, the new ones are black and I think 10 microns thicker. What frustrates me is that Jon can put the sticker on the table and it stays there, mine stay stuck to my fingers. 🤣😇
Neat, I very well will give this a go for my next kit micro. I like having a handful of micro flyers for stepping out the backdoor flying. I've been using Minimum RC out of China for the micro planes, but I am not happy with how they secure the wing to fueslage. I had my first wing on the Minimoa glider shear off in a dead stick landing in tall grass. Ever since I don't build as they were designed. Please tell us what you think after a bit of flying.... Thanks...
I quite like this model. I think that once you have done a Microaces kit, you will know what to expect and what you need for the next one. As there is no paper manual, you have to wait until the next instructional video comes out. As for minimum RC, I do t really know. But most Chinese designs look great, but designed poorly on a computer and not improved on. I hope to get this in the air asap and for sure everyone will get to see this fly. Thanks for the comment.👍🏼
The Microaces appeals to me. I have ordered the DH2 having made a 9th scale just to see what’s what? Peanut builds are fairly new to me and I am learning a lot from this kit.
Thanks for these videos. I was nervous to start as I didn't want to ruin it. This helps me to jump in. Cheers. Bob
I appreciate your comment, thank you. ❤️
Nice job Nick always enjoy your videos!
Thank you. I appreciate that.

Hi Ive finished mine but ive built a few of Jon's models and know to make the holes in the horns fit the rods before I glew them in.
