Did you pick up a history book this or the last century?
Nigeria was granted its independence peacefully. Not due to the violent overthrow of any government.
However during the cold war, China shipped millions of cheap Type 56 rifles, that looked like AK47s, all over Africa, arming primarily ethnic militants. A new form of colonization. One where money could be gained from conflicts and the weapons trade. Russia would begin arming the other side with their later-developed AKMs, to gain a slice of the weapons trade money.

I am sorry you have had some troubles in the past. I hope you understand the difference between the citizens of the world and the governments of the world. Sometimes the governments of the world do not accurately represent the citizens of the world. The world we all live in is not simple. I think getting involved in humanitarian efforts is better than waging war. Charity and humanitarian groups are not government groups. By helping charity and humanitarian groups, these same groups can then help you also.

Funny how none of the humanitarian groups knew about any of that. It's like they are there to treat a symptom rather than a disease. Some are doing it for money. And some NGO's are funded by states. Just look at the huge budgets dropped into so called NGO's. Ireland had something like 8% of it's 2024 budget allocated to this. In this context, economic cooperation makes sense and is beneficial. Military cooperation in this context does not make sense and it will limit economic trading partners.
