Bertrand already explained this earlier, then evidently forgot. You cannot touch Wolf until after the Draft. If you announce that, Wolf and his crew will leave right before the draft and they have all the reports. So everyone has to say, sure he's safe. Just like, sure, Mayo's safe. Vrabel did not take a job with baggage at this stage of his career. He has last call on personnel. They need Wolf until the draft, then this guy from the Giants will be the new GM. This is the same thing they did with Bobby Grier two decades ago.
So sick of these guys crying about the interview process they took. Quick acting like going through the motions of the "correct hiring process" would have been some huge win for social justice. The result would've been the same- so pipe down with your faux-concern about The Rooney Rule being manipulated.
being forced to interview someone based on color is racist. This whole thing is racist. How many of these people would blow their brain if we forced every team to interview two white guys? They would call it the most racist thing ever. We need to base jobs around skill and what you bring to the table not what color you are. These people who scream everyone is racist are the most racist people on this planet
A few coaches into the future, there will be nobody alive to bring back from the dynasty days. I don’t know if that’s good or bad. I believe the Patriots will be a better franchise this next season whether our record improves or not. I do believe we will be run at a far higher level. Looking forward to seeing this.
When asked about team building he mentioned the oline and dline I think vrabel builds out the trenches. Starts there. I just wanna know if pats go back to a 3-4. Not as important in the modern game with base nickles and dimes but it is a different strategy on the dline and what kinda players you target
Unfortunately, the Patriots problems precede Mayo. There was a reason Belichick was fired. The question is whether a 'tougher' Mike Vrabel addresses those structural issues. What are those issues, and how does Vrabel fix them? I don't hear answers to those questions from the panel.
@@rickandbrandonshow I watch a lot of football, but I am no expert by any means. So take the following for what it's worth. The Patriots defenses are and have been historically sound, sometimes terrific, but almost always competent. I don't think there is much to fix structurally there. Offense is a different matter. I think the Patriots have tended to struggle in the draft, and they have been -- Randy Moss aside -- I think generally weak at picking wide receivers. In my opinion, the Patriots have been at their best focusing on tight ends -- Gronk and Hernandez were the peak for me -- and passing to a fairly generic cast of running backs. The Patriots were also great with smallish slot receivers like Edelman, Amendola and, my favorite, Wes Welker. Further, the offensive line under Dante Scarnecchia was always solid, something which has deteriorated markedly in recent times. I also think there's another problem, that all of us Patriots fans live with the Ghost of Tom Brady. Whatever the team does -- Vrabel included -- will always be measured against the Tom Brady era. That's not likely to return soon. So I think the Patriots should acknowledge that, emphasize reduced expectations to all of ownership, the team and fans, and focus on delivering good, but not exceptional, teams. That's what Tomlin has done with the Steelers. His teams are rarely exceptional, but they are almost always good. I think we need to ratchet down expectations, or perhaps just my expectations, and come to grips with the notion that the Patriots' goal is to be a solid, but unspectacular team targeting, say, 10 wins. It is hard not to expect greatness from the Patriots, but perhaps that great is getting in the way of the good. Along those lines is the fate of the 'Patriot Way'. The Patriot Way is a kind of religion, and I feel like it needs updating. The Patriots seem a bit behind the times, and I think I would like the team to perhaps go younger and outsider, someone like a McDermott, McVay or Shanahan or some other person of Irish extraction. In a sense, I suppose the Patriots need to bury Tom Brady, to turn the page and start a new chapter, relegating him to the storied past. Easier said than done. I am certainly not there yet, and I suspect Bob Kraft will never be. But I think we need to move on, hard as that is.
They're mad because they looked foolish saying week in and week out that Mayo was safe. Everyone who went on these shows rolled their eyes at guys like Bertrand and Felger when they questioned if Mayo was safe; all those guys are having a tantrum now.
why is it that Weei is so much different? Are they really that much of woke weirdos? I have tried watching clips from a few different shows and all i heard all week was how the pats are racist for not having a black coach now, they are racists for interviewing black coaches, they are racist because they were not the right black coaches, they are racist because of the order they came in. Its endless just complaining. How could anyone listen to that crap? their videos only get like 1000 views anyways lol

Definitely need to get rid of Wolfe if the Krafts know what's good for the team. Wolfe is a horrible scout. Need to give Vrabel the rains to get his own people.
Obviously Vrabel feels like he can work with Wolfe or he’d be toast. This is Vrabels team now. Bertrand and his drama lol

We definitely knew a uniform. Let’s bring back the dynasty uniforms
I want an updated version of the 90s uniforms.

I agree but how about something completely new. We look like 2000’s bills
You can make vrabel and cowden the final call guys, and keep Elliot to have an input
Elliot is garbage. Drafts went way downhill as soon as he got here.
Bertrand is no different than women, in the fact that he will no matter what, always find something to complain about

There is no Ted Washington or Vince Wilfork to anchor a 3-4 on the roster, so watch for massive D tackles to be drafted or signed
