Hey Hitesh. When you say "Top 5 programming languages", do you mean with respect to Web Development or programming in general ( for App Dev, Data Sciences, Machine Learning, etc.)
If you want to be a good programmer, learn atleast 5 languages. Start with C/C++ first as this will help you learn the concepts of programming before learning higher level languages. Then go for Python and Java. Then pick up one functional programming language like Lisp or Haskell.
These 5 will make you a better programmer as you will have a knowledge of most coding paradigms. Then you can start with a domain specific language like PHP or Swift, etc.
My list is (as an automotive, embedded developer and a machine learner):
1) C
2) Python
3) C++
4) Java
5) MATLAB
6) Lua
7) Haskell
8) Javascript
I would place Python at #1, Java at #2, JavaScript at #3, C++ at #4, Swift at #5

Manimaran K there are many frameworks in Php and it's depending on the type of application. Laravel and Yii are trendy frameworks but codeigniter, cakephp are also very good. My first choice is laravel because it provides many inbuilts vendor library and they have lighter version of application as well.
there is one more programming language you should have mentioned, its C#.
Reasons :
1. Provide Cross Platform Development using Xamarin
2. Speedily increasing users and community
3. Very easy to learn
4. Powerful
5. Write once, Run Anywhere

It's much powerful and faster in performance than Java, I've worked on both and extremely satisfied with C# than Java
Michael Mitchell c# is not so bad if you really are focused on performance then c++ would be the way to go but that's a reficulously difficult language to learn it's not impossible though you just have to stick with it c#is nice though because xamarin allows you to develop on Android or iOS you can also do a lot of other things like build programs for Windows Linux and Mac it also runs on servers

Hi Hitesh... I found your tips very helpful and I am trying to seek some advice from you. I have been working as an application support analyst past 4 years on financial domain. Technology wise nothing much with sql/plsql and some new operational intelligence tool ( like splunk/appdynamics, though just monitoring end )With the changing IT landscape, I want to give a try in emerging technologies like nosql,devops,or learning new language like R or Python, blockchain( Purely because interested in transaction processing and reconciliation mechanism). The reason why Java is big is MUCH more on the side of business apps than Android apps. Not to mention that you can write Android apps with every language whose compiler can produce Java 6 bytecode.

Hello Sir, I really like the way you teach. I am interested to learn Python course from you. But I am little confused and have the below few questions, I need you to help me with these questions.
I understand your busy schedules but I think the answers from you for my questions will help at least few people like me.
I had done some research about this Python course but there are some good and bad feedback (I mean everybody have their own opinions,which we can't deny)
Before going to my questions, let me tell you I don't have any kind of knowledge in programming or any scripting language. I am into pre- sales.
Q1 : What is supporting language that we should know before learning Python. (ex: C, C++, Linux, and Computer Science etc..)
Q2 : Once after learning Python would that be sufficient to get a job in the companies or do we need to learn any other supporting languages.
Q3 : Does Python programmers has career in future. (Let's say at least 7 to10 yrs)
Q4 : Should we have knowledge on Python previous versions.
The reason why I am very keen to know is just because to clear off my confusion. I want to stick to one technologyfor career growth. I understand these are the very simple questions for you as you are expertise in this and you often hear this kind of questions from people like me. It would be really helpful if you could guide me in the right path where I can be stable and settled in my life.

I like your video - I`m just just a very basic beginner doesn`t know anything about programming but after watching many videos like this - something I realized is that Java Script is not really proper language - it`s very useful plugin that helps with html and other developments..coz you can`t create programs like Facebook, Instagram or any other..please let me know what you guys think as well since this is just my opinion...

Hello Hitesh bro can you provide the top webdsites to learn these Programming languages. Please it would help me as I am a Job aspirant by the end of my U.G. in 2019.
Java is very well organised language, also, if you know various frameworks in Java, you do not have to write loads of code, C'mon if I need getters and setters I would just use appropriate jar file and just write annotations and bang my work is done, if I want to apply transactions in DB operations bang with just one annotation using spring jdbc framework. Also, I have worked on Node, Angular and Javascript, if you believe you can easily shift to Node or Angular if you know Javascript, I'm sorry I won't agree with this. Here's my top 5 according to the current market scenario:
1. Python (You will get high paid jobs, however, opportunities would be less)
2. Java (You will get well-paid jobs, also, opportunities would be huge)
3. JQuery (You will get well-paid jobs, also, opportunities would be huge)
4 Android (pre-requisite: Java) (You will get well-paid jobs, also, opportunities would be huge)
5 PHP (You will get less paid jobs, however, opportunities would be huge)
