Wow that looks INCREDIBLE! We *LOVE* Indian food so much, and I'm sure San Fransico has some great chefs. We'd love to visit India someday and try some authentic indian food there as well. Looks amazing David, keep it up! 😊
If you’re still around the Bay Area, I would highly recommend visiting a restaurant called Puranpoli in Santa Clara, for some authentic Maharashtrian food! Their misal pav, kothimbir vadi and kokam juice are my favorites however, the food in general is incredibly good over there!
Puranpoli is an ugly restaurant though. It’s not worth filming in there, they even serve everything in disposable containers. The food is also below average. Vishnuji Ki Rasoi and the numerous other food trucks offer better Maharashtrian food.
*Idli and rasam which is called as saaru originated from UDUPI* Saaru spread all over southern India from UDUPI and was called by others as rasam which literally means LIQUID. Because saaru is very liquidy among all curries/stews.
Rasam is derived from a Tamil word 'irasam' and the Sanskrit word 'rasa', both words meaning essence or extract. It is believed to have originated in the 16th century in Madurai by Sourashtras, an immigrant community. They prefer calling it 'Pulichaar' which means tart or tamarind
You visited many Indian restaurants in SoCal compared to NorCal but NorCal has the highest Indian population in the US and I can guarantee the food in NorCal is the most authentic available in the US, as you’d get the variety while everything would also be fresh.
Every item in this video is mind blowing. I personally don't like 2 things in restaurant. One is "restaurant made" uttappam and other is "potato filling" in dosa. I love uttappam which we make at home. It's suuuuper delicious....much different than the restaurant one. I make mini uttappams 2.5 inch diameter (approx). And it's super crispy at the base and at edges. Can't compare with the restaurant ones. Rest every item is so mouth watering. This is one of ur best videos . Love you bro. Do come up with such lovely videos !! ♥️♥️♥️
Mixing... everything 🥺 Oh gotcha khichri-man nyce Utapam looks dazzling But deep fried food eating continuously causes health issue (burnt oil) That creamy yellow dish Moilee was fantastic David can you ask Hollywood or WWE Stars to your vlog & Chak De India t-shirt 👌 Scream loud: Kai Po Che... Delicious makar-sakarat to everyone
Awesome eyes. Awesome food. Awesome episode. 🌿🌿🍃💚💚🍃🌿🌿 I couldn't be you David, I'd have to finish everything lol ☹️☹️😂😂😂 Ohhhh the sizzler, it has my name on it 🏴🌟🌟🌟🏴
quick suggestion mate dont try to upload a video of length more than 20min cause it wont reach that far but very few people see other than that love ur content cheers!!!!
@Davesbeenhere, have you had the food restaurant workers have? For anyone not in the know, the food served in restaurant s way too rich to have everyday. The curries had by Bengali workers, is usually very light, dairy is only occasionally used. Try to arrange someone in the US to give you one day old Oorie (long bean) and Meat Curry. Also try Shatkora and meat. You might have to goto Detroit or New York for that. Put an Instagram message out, someone will probably cook it for you.
Within the city of San Francisco, you won't find as many authentic South Asian restaurants. They're mostly your regular/generic places. You'll find better and much more authentic places to eat, where most Indians happen to live in the SF Bay Area; in the South Bay and lower East Bay, In cities like Mountain View, Sunnyvale, Palo Alto, Fremont, Dublin/Pleasanton etc. The upper East Bay has a lot of really authentic Nepalese restaurants as well, in cities like Berkeley, Emeryville, and San Pablo.
You living and eating Indian food more than indian peoples itself😂😅, you really know how to explore 👏🙌
I just saw your comment in chanakya vlog🤣

Coming from a Mediterranean country I just can’t eat Indian food. Not sure if it is just me or a Mediterranean thing.
I can understand. I can't eat most of East Asian cousine due to fishy smell in sauce and gravy...yuck
I have eaten at Udipi Palace close to one hundred times, great people, amazing food 🤘😍🤘
A little correction David, rasmalai is not cottage cheese rather chena (something like rasgulla dipped in malai).....
