Antonio, please don't get affected by the comments. The chess boom brought a lot of newcomers who apparently have problems with longer videos (propably because they don't come from chess background but social media backgrounds). There are a lot of channels out there who offer that and they can feel free to watch short 20 sec videos. I have watched almost every video that you have made since i started enjoying chess 5 years ago, and i can't remember a single second i haven't enjoyed watching your analysis and the back stories you provide.
I enjoyed hearing the background information about the video from yesterday, that was relevant to the story and the tournament, thanks for sharing as well.
And it was in this position, upon ignoring the impatient haters of chess history, that Agadmator continued posting great chess videos with wonderful background info, as there is nothing more to be done.
Stop apologizing for long intros, anyone who doesn't like it can fast forward to the start of the game, or better yet just keep their opinions to themselves lol. Most of us love everything about your content.
For those people whining that yesterday's intro was too long - this is what Agad's channel is all about - chess with stories. And that's why most of us appreciate this channel...if you don't like it, go watch something else or simply skip the intro.
This. Sometimes I skip because I’m just looking for a good game to watch while I eat or whatever, but who doesn’t love a good story about an historical event by “sorry about that” guy?!
The background you provide, especially for games and tournaments years ago, is greatly appreciated. Many thanks for sharing your vast knowledge. Best wishes for you and your loved ones in 2025!
I absolutely agree with everyone else saying to ignore the negative comments! There's other channels out there that provide what they want, and you've been doing this exact thing for years now. If it wasn't effective you wouldn't have over a million subs. Chess history is fascinating!
Please, Agadmator, don't let the haters dictate how much you should speak on your platform. I have watched your channel for many years now, and I enjoy that commentary about different lines. Keep doing what you are doing. Pennsylvania USA 🇺🇸

Didn’t know that Alekhine was gangsta like that. Either way, I always enjoy the historical part of the chess game as it can add more context to the game. That sets you apart from other chess content creators. Don’t fret as I’ll always enjoy your videos as I can expand my knowledge in chess while also enjoying the game as I watch it.
I do not understand how can people complain about you giving us so much context via historical data. I did enjoy it and I hope you keep doing that as it helps understand what's happening also outside of the board. Thanks for that! 🙂
Merry Christmas Agad, been following you for a long time and noticed many comments telling you to ignore the negative comments. Just want to add that i agree, i watch you because of how you have always done your videos; and I always will. You are legit the GOAT of YT chess.; it would not be the same if you just showed moves
Love the videos covering older games, Antonio! Can't wait for the new saga! Also, I think you shouldn't listen to the people that tell you the videos are too long, they can just skip the intro if they don't like it. Merry Christmas!
I've learned more chess history (who, what, when, where, why, and how) from this channel than from all other chess channels combined. And yes, I've tried a LOT of different chess channels.
Thanks soooooooo much Antonio you got me all wrong a couple of days back I’m one of your craziest fans around the world but again I sincerely apologise. Today’s video is just your classic style keep that up always 🙏🙏 Love from me and India
Antonio, not sure if you’ll read this but I agree with everyone saying don’t change your videos, don’t worry about anyone complaining about the intros. Your channel is magical just the way it is. Please don’t change it. Your channel is a community, not a commodity. I don’t actively follow any other channels on TH-cam, but you are a phenomenal storyteller and that’s why I watch your videos every day. Please, don’t change. Hopefully you actually will get to it. They are so good and way better than random games esp modern ones. The classics are the classics for a reason. Agad, please do the videos the way you wish. You’re the chess channel I watch the most. Love your analysis, love your videos. Only TH-camr I have set up that reminds me of a new video out!❤

LOL these comments are hilarious. Do people really complain about a "long" intro? If you're not interested in the history then just skip to the game. I pray that Jesus gives these people logical reasoning and humility as as gifts for Christmas!
#suggestionIn the following game, Moheschunder (Black) plays the Grünfeld Defence against Cochrane in 1855-some 38 years before Ernst Grünfeld was born. John Cochrane vs. Moheschunder Bannerjee, May 1855: 1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 g6 3.Nc3 d5 4.e3 Bg7 5.Nf3 0-0 6.cxd5 Nxd5 7.Be2 Nxc3 8.bxc3 c5 9.0-0 cxd4 10.cxd4 Nc6 11.Bb2 Bg4 12.Rc1 Rc8 13.Ba3 Qa5 14.Qb3 Rfe8 15.Rc5 Qb6 16.Rb5 Qd8 17.Ng5 Bxe2 18.Nxf7 Na5 and White mates in three (19.Nh6+ double check Kh8 20.Qg8+ Rxg8 21.Nf7#).[5][6]
I noticed how Alekhine took 4 moves to configure his "gun" formation, when he could've done it in just 3 moves. Instead of Rac1 it should've just been Ra3. I don't know what he accomplished with Qe3 when that move wasn't necessary to configure the gun, nor was it serving any other purpose. All I see is him giving Nimzo an extra tempo to prepare his defense. I suppose it didn't matter either way, and maybe the queen move was intended as a feint to make the gun preparation less conspicuous?
May be to take the queen to a safe square. On d2 it would be susceptible to a pin from the b4 square. But ofcourse black didn't have a dark squared bishop and black's queen had no access to the b4 square. So that should not be the reason. Who knows.
You didn't really explain why b5 wins, it's quite long and complicated. I imported into lichess to check. The fact that the pawn moves on to b6 with the threat of bxa7 is important.
Of you want to speed the video up you can hold your finger on the screen it doubles the speed..if you have a mouse just right click anywhere on the screen and hold it...I just found this out by accident🐣

But then there`s the spoiler problem, he can then never mention something on the description before showing the game otherwise he spoils the result
