He said the magic words. "Mechanic owned". Definitely puts me more at ease.
It can go either way really. Having worked as a mechanic(cars, trucks and heavy equipment), at least 1/2 my coworkers daily drove beaters that got bare minimum maintenance and repairs or were simply driven into the ground. I've done pre-purchase inspections of used cars for friends and "mechanic owned" didn't guaranty much of anything. After a 40+ hour work week, who wants to go home and do more of the same for free?
Second vehicles/toys were usually well taken care of though.
Nice to see one of them again , my Dad bought one brand new years ago.....very underrated little bike, some one is going to be very pleased.
Classic Kawasaki KLR250 absolutely gorgeous on-road off-road thank you for the info Ken thank you 💪for the video Ronnie⚡ Kaplan Cycles number one God Bless America 🇺🇲New England Motorcycle Museum❤
I love my KLR! Similar story, but mines a 97', and my black spray job isn't quite that nice! 😂 I've never had to do any work besides the carburator, tires, and a valve adjustment. One oil change in 4 years too! I could do better, but the motor doesn't complain!
It sounds exactly like the klr650, just a lil more quiet. This would be a fun bike with some knobbies on it for a BDR ride 😎
Man this takes me back. I moved from Rhode Island to Honolulu in 1988 & bought one of these new for urban assault~ a little light on power, but I absolutely LOVED it. Rode it for 4 years & replaces it with a 1988 Ninja 750R. I would have bought this bike from you in a heartbeat, but just saw this vid now & I'm guessing it's long gone. At just over 250lb, no modern bike even comes close to that weight in this class.
10 more horsies and this bike would be perfect . Eying one for 1k right now ...
Sweet bike tkx Ken!! 0:31
Little Black is one gorgeous, well kept up, low mileage bike, that looks brand new. Mechanic owned makes it that much better.
