@@calyx_kickflips1913 Friendly ogre. For in Tolkien's works where Orcs originated they were generally a bit shorter than humans and not as strong, taking cowardly strength in numbers or having to be forced into becoming organised by a cruel overlord.
The idea of Orcs being naturally more muscular than humans comes from the Uruk-Hai specifically, which were a special elite breed of Orcs.
More modern nterpretations of Orcs, such as with Warhammer or Warcraft stuff, have been more in line with said Uruk-Hai.

The 5 vs 1 the sound was the most daunting thing. Great to watch, but damn, the sound! Almost had me interested in finding a venue here.

I really love that Eddie is bringing some light to the medieval scene it's awesome to see ! I'm personally more of a fan of historical fancing (HEMA) or armored duels but with half-swords, just because I find it more visually pleasing and fun to practise.
That boxing was one of the coolest things I've seen in combat for a long time! You did great!
In that melee at the end, it was insane the SOUND! Then eddie would vanish in a sea of arms and armor, then suddenly the beast surfaces smashing heads and punching guts! What a legend!

Indeed it would be. Norse berserkers was pretty similar to Eddie - tall, naturally big and strong - they would brute force though you with their dane axe- but a scary part is - not as big and not as strong as Eddie (people in medial times was smaller) - probably around 130kg was extremely rare and super huge...
@@nickgfgfgf4790 lmao no they weren't. The average norseman/viking were about 5ft 7in. You watch too much movies🤣🤣. People Eddie's size back in the day were considered real life giants, maybe 1 in a million. You gotta remember back then people were really short, don't believe me, do some research.

You’ll need 4 times of protein and staples to sustain Eddie but if well-trained and used he could kill more than 4 enemies

When mounting his BEAST, Medieval Eddie remained suspended the crane, becoming the famous inventor of the circular joust.
The one time he unclipped with the poor animal underneath, he invented the standing joust. Might have caught on if they stood in lance range.

Love the sounds of armors clashing. Imagine the mad men who were fighting like that in the old times
It's unlikely that the rank and file would be loaded head to toe in plate like this unless you were a noble. Normal people would likely have a gambeson, a helmet/coif and maybe some mail, maybe they might have a cuirass or birgandine that was extremely well worn and not well fitted.
All of that is still extremely protective of course but not nearly to this degree. Broken bones galore and cuts in the less protected areas like hands, wrists, etc.
@@valkymia3708 depends on time region and period. In late middle ages armor like this was relatively common as professional (mercenary) armies were becoming more popular. Brigandine was relatively cheap and people would not save money when it comes to their lives. We can see in paintings from late middle ages that that sort of armor was quite common
@@valkymia3708 You're forgetting about auxiliary mercenaries, it was their job to fight so they'd have good kit. It wasn't uncommon for large armies to be composed of mostly professional mercenaries.

Not too far off actually. Good ole Henry was estimated to be about 28 stone(that's 392lbs or in metric units that's 177kgs) and probably 6.2. Eddie is 6.3 and weighs 362lbs.

Even though they took him down in the 5v1 fight, it was only just BARELY. This video is insane and I love it. Reminded me of the episode of American Gladiators when they had a guy named Sven on and it took 3 of the Gladiators to even BUDGE him and they were winded after each match lol.

@@alphastronghold715 He's too strong, he would break a halberd. There would be no stopping him with a solid metal flange mace or heavy reinforced maul. Literally smash through and cave in full plate on every swing. I bet he could get through this modern armor they are wearing too.
Large 2 handed maces are pretty much fantasy in Europe.

Its always great to see more visibility for armored fighting as a whole. Good on ya. Next time they can get some proper fitting armor and you can fight with "real" weapons, it'll change the experience and you'd have even more fun I think.
