Hey Peter, just watched it and black pudding is not to everyone’s taste but what I feel oddly weird is that pasties and scotch eggs aren’t a English breakfast item. A pasty is a typical lunch snack from Cornwall which tin miners would take instead of sandwiches as not to contaminate their lunch from tin ore they would eat the main part of the pasty up to the crimp part (where they would hold it with their dirty hands) and throw that part away. As for scotch egg, it’s a pub snack or picnic snack than an actual breakfast item.
Just remember that a lot of Americans have a habit of calling all of Britain as just England. I have loads of British friends from all over the place, so I don't make that mistake.
@@robertgronewold3326 I’m from England so I’m very aware but I just found it odd that a Cornish pasty and a scotch egg is served as a breakfast item when here in the UK it’s not.
English breakfast?! we don't have roast potaotes with our breakfast over here! fried egg is more 'traditional' than scrambled. not sure where the universal guys went for their breakfast, you sure it was England?! 😂 love watching your channel Peter, it's awesome 🙂
Yeah a proper full English would have fried eggs, fried bread... and those beans look wrong too... no potatoes... hash brown possibly

They definitely had to modify for American tastes. Same goes for American dishes abroad. When I stayed in England they did have variations of an English breakfast, however.

Discovered this the last time I was at HP World. Mix the lemon squash and fizzy peach tea for a Diagon Alley inspired Arnold Palmer.
I love being at the Leaky Cauldron. I would just hang out there all day, if allowed. Great food. Awesome atmosphere.

Every time we go to the leaky cauldron for breakfast I ALWAYS get the egg leek and mushroom and pasty. It’s so so so good. 😁
I live in CA and really love our universal but the amount of envy I feel when I watch your videos is CRAZY!!! I’m hoping in the next year to make a trip to Florida! My hubby is a Miami’s dolphins fan so I’m using that to my advantage haha love your channel!!

The hot butterbeer is easily my favorite drink at Universal. Like hot cocoa but they replaced the cocoa with butterscotch it is absolutely divine.

I'm going to Universal very soon and I'm glad to have the tip about the eggs and bacon. I'm not keto, but gluten free due to allergy, so eggs and bacon are always safe!

The pasty sounds amazing! It looks like they've added new things to the menu because I don't remember a few of these from our trips.

I went to the wizarding world last summer. Let me tell you there is nothing like those short lines. Virtually no wait anywhere!!

@@AyeMatey I went last July. I had to miss my graduation for it, but it was worth it. Lol
It was pretty hot, but it was cloudy most of the time. We just made sure to social distance and all was well!
Now I personally have tried blood sausage before. We have a Irish restaurant in Plainfield Indiana called Claddagh Irish Pub & Restaurant . And I went there for my birthday a couple years ago with a former teacher of mine. And she ordered the blood sausage and she let me try some of it wasn't bad.

I've never tried butterbeer before 🍺 but I do know I would not want the green fishy eggs drinks; to me that is like Peter seeing the spider eggs potion bottle 😖🤢 haha any of the other beverages looked tasty and I'd try them 😊

My favorite would be the yogurt, fruit, and apple flan.

I'm going in January! We have been contemplating getting the Harry Potter vacation package. It includes breakfast at Leaky Cauldron, and at Three Broomsticks, among other things. Peter, do you think this may be a good upgrade for ladies week? Two who have never been, I've been once. One of us has only seen movies, the other 2 of us have read books, seen movies, follow youtubers, deep dive theories.....we are a tad obsessed. Lol. The pasty sounded like it would be very good!
I would recommend checking the pricing outside of the package. I have found that a lot of time a package is more about convenience than money savings. But I HIGHLY recommend eating breakfast at Leaky... breakfast is nice at Broomsticks but Leaky has a better menu in my opinion. Have a fantastic time! And there is no such thing as being too obsessed with Harry Potter. 😄
