I'm still on PC mnk and have almost every other advantage known to man but im gonna cry about something only mnk can do. (Which i guarantee everybody uses the wheel to tap strafe because why would they use any harder way) it literally takes no skill. Bind it to your mouse wheel. Time properly. Instant unfair advantage against anyone else not on mnk

@@eoghancampbell6109 you seem to underestimate what you can do to these kinds of obscure techniques. They work of a very specific mechanic that i bet they could remove if they wished to. And as such an obscure technique, barely anyone will notice
180 turns without losing momentum was already a thing, known pretty much since beginning of Apex, but turning back mid-air's new, and this is a lot easier than pressing movement keys to turn

I remember first playing as pathy, and I learned the basics of grappling by my imagination See I imaged that pathy was on the edge of my analog stick(xbox controler) And the place where my grapple was heading to, was the centre of the analog stick. It's how I learned to do slingshots on my own
If your mwheeldown is jump, mwheelup is forward you can quite easily use all kinds of awesome maneuvers by just sprint -> slide -> mwheeldown -> mwheel up and then continuing mwheeldown on touching the ground and mwheelup when in the air. Keeps momentum going nicely and makes any form of bhopping a lot easier in general. Thanks for the tips guys, this is a lot less button dancing ;p
After you can use it in battle consistently it is useful , in air dodging is a must, but where it is the most useful, is to dominate third parties in broken or old buildings.
Wow this is super awesome. It's actually super weird this works because we tried this in titanfall a while back and it didn't work. I really wonder why it works in apex but not in titanfall. Stacking forward lurches is the most optimal way to make sharp turns, but we've always needed macros to do it at all in titanfall. Super cool it works in apex time to bind scroll to forward lol.
You also can bind mwheel directly in the game. No need to add it in your advanced settings. I tried it and I couldn't get as sharp turns as you. I must do something wrong.
I'm coming with more CS background than Apex but can't you do that with just strafing? In CS you can jump off the ledge and 180 back onto it with a good strafe so I'd assume with the movement freedom of Apex, compaired to CS, this looks like the most regular strafe ever but faster. Am I wrong?
in b4 respawn patches this out because "we found that tap strafing allowed experienced players to outplay newer players even though they had better positions"
im trying to figure out this tap strafe, do you have the "jump" and "W" command bound to the same button? Or can it be done with the jump and W bound to separate buttons and not manipulating the game file?

I don't think he ever said explicitly press this this this and you should be able to. Unless I missed it cuz I'm dumb. So what you do is Sprint, slide, jump, input a strafe command, and then tap W rapidly while holding the strafe command and turning your mouse like you would during an air strafe. Perhaps there is a more efficient way of doing it? But I don't know. Good luck
If u do a 360-720 with pathfinder while grapple u can go straight up. Never forget when i shotgunned with a 360 going from bottom top to building and i was perfect straight and higher than usual grapping.
For b hoppers on controller but you're yaw speed on max n bind you're crouch button to rt or r2 it will be way easier to bhop n with max yaw you can reverse bhop, PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT

I learned how to swing soo far and I high if I wanted to on my own just by using a bit of brain and training in game mechanics
Coming from playing rocket league led me to understand paths movement so early I was havin a blast b4 ppl really knew how to slingshot him.
