As a newly single person (sounds more positive than divorced) I am ready for new chapter too and hear you but I hv deep roots kids job. Though I would so like to move and start afresh I can’t. Moving from place to place to place seems to be widespread behavior for some people, including myself. Moving to a new place is so exciting and intoxicating, but as sure as the sky is blue and grass is green, I become habituated to the new place and wish to pick up and leave again. I envy my grandma, she's lived in the same house for over 50 years and she's the most happy/stable person I know. If you don't have peace in your heart, it doesn't matter where you live.

Come to the San Fernando Valley. I live in Reseda and it is definitely suburbia. Yet, I can easily get to Hollywood, Burbank, Glendale, etc. for work (I work in film).

That’s awesome news! Irvine would be a great place to stay in since you mentioned more of a suburban area and I don’t even live there but every time I visit I feel like so happy because of the vibes and homely feel there! It reminds me of my home in the Bay Area 😂
