    Hi. I bought this helmet last saturday and i'm a little bit sad, because the weather in Portugal is cold in the morning, around 7/8 degrees and the visor fogs up very quickly, even with the air intakes all open. I didn't install the pinlock, but I think I'll have to... anyone else having the same thing happen to this specific helmet? Apart from this detail, I love the helmet: good construction, light, with very good soundproofing. Thaks for the review!

      Thanks for watching! I'd say the pinlock would make a good difference, not sure if anyone else is running into this

      @@SpeedAddictsTV I can confirm that pinlock made the difference. I installed it last night and this morning it made the difference. 👌

      @@migueltavares4639 tenho um Schuberth E1, e se não colocar o pinlock acontece precisamente o mesmo, penso que em qualquer capacete!! Estou bastante tentado a adquiri este HJC!

    Man! I was sold, until I seen that jankity locking mechanism on the visor! Those are such a pain to deal with, coming up to a stop. I want to have something that's easy to locate and use. But also not get in the way or cause wind noise. I realize that it's a modular helmet. So u can just lift that up! However, in the winter, that's not ideal at a red light/stop. Because it can be tedious trying to get a good seal around your chin and neck. So breaking that seal at every stop is a pain! I love HJC helmets, but unfortunately. I think I'm going with the Shoei neotec 2. Expensive but for good reason! Nice informative video tho! Thanks!

      Thanks for watching Richard! The pinch-to-open face shield might take a few rides to get use to, but is very secure and prevents surprise deployments at speed. We too think the Shoei Neotec II is one of the best modulars out there, but it's rather heavy. Typically customers who choose the HJC RPHA 90S are looking for something light and easier on the neck. The weight difference will pay dividends on long rides.

      I got used to it quickly. Its very easy to use. To replace my original neotec I bought the rpha 90 s carbon, the c3 pro, the agv sportmodular and the bell srt. The rpha is my goto. That agv is junk.

    I see this one has the D-rings, every review I have seen on this helmet has the Micro Buckle System, can you tell me which RPHA 90S come with the d-rings?

    • @SpeedAddictsTV
      @SpeedAddictsTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Any RPHA 90s reviews you've seen that feature a quick release buckle had to have been outside of the USA. All HJC RPHA 90s' imported into the USA feature D-ring closures. Great question and thanks for watching!

      @@cyclechris6591 We always advise that US consumers purchase helmets from US dealers for a few key reasons. Should you have a warranty claim it's likely to be denied by a US warranty agent if the helmet was not purchased in the US. It's also worth noting helmets purchased outside of the US are not DOT homologated and thus not legal for road use in the US. And finally should you need to exchange or return a helmet from foreign dealer it will be costly and time consuming.

      @@SpeedAddictsTV Crazy to do but My state has no helmet laws for persons over 18. The helmet is ec 20.05 which is better than dot certified. In my 30yrs of riding Ive never had law enforcement check my helmet. Point is well taken though. Thanks

      Haha! Comment of the week for certain. You Brits cursed us with the standard system after all. Can we all agree it's time to move to metric in the USA for more than just pharmaceuticals?
