It hurts my heart to think that all of the cranks were regular people with a family and friends. Although they hardly even seem human anymore, it really is quite sad. Like what if Newt had fully turned, he wouldn’t even be Newt anymore, just some crazy being writhing in agony, with no memory of who he used to be. What Thomas saw him, some unearthly creature who he used to call his friend. Newt’d have no memory of him, he’d just see a person, and attack them, having no recognition of him whatsoever, or if he killed Thomas he’d feel no guilt at all because he’d just be a crank. Sort makes me feel relived he died before he did fully turned.
I agree but it just sucks to know that he could've been cured by Thomas
What hurt me was that if Thomas had just freaking said “the cure is coming hang on” newt wouldn’t of killed himself hence eventually being cured. Btw this is the deepest comment I’ve ever read lol

Bro ik it's really sad the death cure is the saddest of all because newt dies he was my favorite charecter and now that he is never gonna be in another movie is really sad to me and most likely will not be in as many cast videos anymore. And will still always be remembered by that note he gave him at the end before he turned

I'm glad we didnt see Newt at stage 3. Him deteriorating and his death are both heart breaking 😭😭

@Audrey Abbott Idk if that would’ve worked. The enzymes have to be extracted from the blood and it has to be mixed with something. They were too slow I think it’s irreversible if they already turned.

Newt has got to be my favourite character, I balled my eyes out when he died - I can imagine lots of others did too.
Its so sad that nobody sees that when newt was attacked he got infected im honestly proud of Thomas for understanding that he couldn't see Newt suffer And knew he was hurting that he found the strength to kill Newt even tho it’s sad thinking he’s dead I wouldn’t want him to suffer as a crank❤️✨

So I’m not the only one thought that as I watched the movies
I’m the 900th like. Also they did end up being zombies, cause’ they didn’t have dialogue or do normal human things except for I guess eating which that crank in the sewer did when they ate the rat’s head. I still loved the movie though, I didn’t care that they were zombies.

I did like the cranks in the books better. In the books they are just shown as people who have gone totally insane, even those far past the gone (Such as those in the tunnel in the scorch trials). In the movies, although they did try to replicate real human movement, they were more like zombies. In the books the cranks can talk, and even have real conversations, and make their own groups with leaders, they just are completely irrational and quite bloodthirsty. In the movies they are more like animals, incapable of making their own decisions or organizing themselvs in any way.
But then again, there are a lot of differences between the books and the movies, so i really enjoy the movies in themselvs, i just dont like to think of them as an adaptation of the books.

So later on in the movie, Teresa says something about her mother, how she gorged out her own eyes, and how she locked her in a room,
This COULD be Teresa’s mom, maybe not, but it is possible, because she is locked in a room, like when Teresa locked her In a room in hopes of her getting better, her eyes are missing just like when Teresa said, she gorged out her own eyes, and there was blood all over her, just like Teresa said, there was blood all over.
It’s just a theory but I think the crank at 0:10 is Teresa’s mom.

But the fucking productor or whoever made this crap, thought that it was a great idea to change the WHOLE FUCKING MOVIE and put the bloody cranks as zombies.
They were ALL infected! All of them were cranks, even Thomas! And what actually happened is that all of them took part of the second part of the experiment to earn the fucking cure.
