In response to some comments:
1. Yes, in the real world, most of us know that the left & right sides of the brain processes external stimuli (that occurs outside the brain) received from the opposite side of the body (in many, if not all, cases). In the ABSURD premise of this video, the above mentioned sensory processing areas of the brain are not being stimulated. External sounds are not being heard or processed. I am poking at the locations where the sounds have already been heard and processed, and are now stored. Therefore, if one was actually able to poke at the exact memory/neuron that stores a particular sound on one side of the brain, it would (theoretically) be "heard" internally on that exact same side. Also, theoretically, if someone could actually shrink themselves down and walk around the brain as if it were a microscopic tunnel, they would be "heard" internally on the same side. And even if that's still not (theoretically) possible, I am making it possible because fiction.
2. The silicone brain was created by Composite Effects, the same company that creates the mask used for Deep One Dave.

Honestly the concept here is genius.
Taking out the viewers brain is first of all externalising their anxiety, then suggestively prodding parts of their brain to stimulate ASMR is also very hypnotic, as if you're poking out the parts of the brain which are causing the lack of sleep.

I'd like to think that after realizing he could take rifts into his patient's brains he just started exploring them which is why he's in our brain during this video.
