That bike looks solid, I was never a motorbike fan but I could see me riding that, I was so surprised you built it up in your lovely kitchen, your Nephew is a nice lad, its good to see, I hope you or him gets to enjoy that fab bike.
I have copd and bought an electric mountain bike. 27.5 tyres, a Rockrider est900 from decathlon. Came fully assembled so i didnt have to strughle assembling it. Electric bike has really helped with my health. Cycle locally. Also, bought a thule rack for car and have been up forest mountain tracks in north wales. Will be taking it away with us when motorhome delivered this spring. Am thinking of converting mine to tubeless as i have a fear of flat tyres.
cracking bike bob can see you tramping up the coast road ,,,,i bought a hitway electric bike not sure if its related to yours ,,but i have been well happy with it ,,
Hi Bob, the mains lead is a Euro plug typical for laptops. You should be able to get a UK lead at an electrical store or computer store rather than cut the plug off. then you can use the Euro lead on your european trips!
Bob, if you lean the bike towards you, you'll then find it much easier to get on. It does look to be a good solid bike 👍. However, given the mammoth weight of it and only having 7 gears, it will be hard to peddle it manually should the battery run out whilst out and about.
Good job Liam! … Wow what a beast, that’s not a bike but a motor bike. You’d have no problems going off for a cycle holiday on that, although I can’t really see it being a Motorhome friendly addition unless of course you intend doing some trail riding. Looks a reasonable price too! Thanks for sharing 🍻 … I do believe some of the younger criminal element are now using these, so just watch what you get up too 😉😉😉
This is what the government website says www.gov.uk/electric-bike-rules I believe it is, apart from the throttle, which could be disconnected. I am waiting to hear from Himiway if it's 'type approved' for the throttle.
Great that you have a nephew that is obviously clued up on his bikes and could share his knowledge. Does he have his own channel? I think you were right when you said it was like a motor bike, was your nephew going flat out in the clip? On another note you and Poppy could replace Andrew Dutton and Dougal with their touring on a bike!
@@BobEarnshawMoHo Ribble are British assembly company their Bikes are expensive but we have two and their great fun to ride. Just thought they may send you a trial too ?
I didn't order it, it was sent free for the review video, so I don't know how long it will take, plus we had to delay it as we were away over Christmas.
Looks good Bob. Shouldn't need to take back rack off. Just lean bike over more to get your leg over. Not using my push bike anymore as I've just bought ebike. But I had to lean my bike over more as with age couldn't get my leg high enough. Not sure if I heard you correctly about raising seat anymore. Can't believe that's right. Should be able to raise considerably. But maybe misunderstood you.
Yes, Liam said that, lean the bike over to get on and off. Not as mobile as I used to be. You can raise the seat. Liam was taking about a device to raise and lower the seat as you need.
Oh that's interesting about the device. No I'm definitely not as nimble. I'm 78 now & really look g forward to getting my bike. I started cycling again 10yrs ago. But my wife died 20mths ago. And haven't been on it since. Put 2 stone on since her dying. But I know the ebike will definitely help me getting cycling again.
Wo, seen a man riding one of these today. Looked impressive, however he did seem to be struggling a little, maybe low battery. Those tyres sure do cover a lot of road surface. Looks like something for off roading. Enjoy and stay safe.
It has a 20Ah battery. I may be wrong here with my rough calculation here, but it will charge at around 2 amps in around 2 hours. 2amps at 230v for 2 hours is 0.920kwh at 36p per Kwhr is 34p. If you're planning to spend that much on an electric bike....
Hi Bob, looks a good bike, will look forward to Liam's review, seems a really nice boy x
Your nephew is lovely and so polite. Can’t wait to see how the trial goes.

Thank you!
Looks like good quality, an impressive light too! Using 2 fingers on the ratchet instead of a full grip will prevent over tightening.
Thanks, good tip.
Awesome piece a kit that Bob&well done to Liam on assembly&testing, cracking job.
Thank you
Liam comes across as being a nice level headed lad. Good luck with the bike.
Thanks 👍

Couldn't agree more

Don't think that's the same, but electric is definitely the way forward!
@@BobEarnshawMoHo its certainly is ,,dont think that would fit in my fiama box ,,but nice if you have the room and the payload ,,👌👌

Thanks, but you shouldn't need to do anything about the lead, if they sent the correct one.

Impressive bike bob glad you wear a hard hat and your nephew's got one to wear .👍😁

Is the Himiway cruiser legal in the UK?
This is what the government website says www.gov.uk/electric-bike-rules I believe it is, apart from the throttle, which could be disconnected. I am waiting to hear from Himiway if it's 'type approved' for the throttle.
@@BobEarnshawMoHo Cheers bob.my cyrusher kommoda bike has a throttle and can be disconneted ect,but bike insurance companies wont insure it.

No, Liam doesn't have a channel. I assume he was pedaling as well! I couldn't see Poppy being happy in a bag on my back!
Get a Ribble there great half the weight at only 14kg electric hybrid bike perfect for two on a rack
Not quite half the weight there...

Any relation to Ernest ?
Ernest Hemingway? For Whom The Bell Tolls?

Just got fat wheel they are great fun 👍👍👍
I would really like to know how much it costs to charge this e-bike, it looks a beast wish I had one.

Lazy persons riding I won’t say cycling because it isn’t
Thanks for your opinion. I'm certainly not lazy.
