Mark Twain National Forest-Return to the Falls

- Today we are back in the Hercules Glades Wilderness but on the Coy Bald Trail. Great day in the rain and the Falls didn't disappoint this time. Also this is the first hike with the Bandit Hydration pack from 3V Gear and another look at the Dpower stove and how they fixed it. It is amazing how an area can be completely different from one hike to the next. I agree! Perfect weather. I love the cold and rainy hikes. The fog makes for some cool photographs at times. The falls definitely did not disappoint. Awesome. I am surprised you were able to force yourself to leave. Excellent video! Thanks for taking us along.

Nice hike! I am glad to hear that the D power folks took care of the stove for you. I have a feeling that the same thing will happen to mine sooner or later. Caveman, my friend. I miss having the time to not only mess around outdoors but also to put together and watch videos. My son got into cub scouts and I filmed some of the fall camp out but decided not to post because of all the little kids etc. I've just been super busy at work and have not had the time. But, I am looking forward to winter and getting out in the snow. I coach wrestling this time of year so it demands much of my time. Usually, we are finished the first week of February. Hope to get out there then. I'd like to experiment with the hammock some more and maybe get an overnighter in over spring break. Time will tell. Take care brother.

Hi Shane, caveman and Sheba. wow you guys got a lot of rain down there. I bet you had fun hiking in it. I personally enjoy hiking in the rain ...yeah I know I'm weird.. Lol. I like that slow motion shot you did with your camera. Wish mine would do that. cool do D- power backs their products. wonder if I can trade my stove in for a new one. We did get a lot of rain but I wish it as snow lol. They did do a good job upgrading the stove, I happy with it. I think the new cook set will make it on my next adventure. My new phone does some cool things, I really like it. Thanks for watching Bob

Looks like a really nice area! Does the water table recede in the summer? Looks like limestone topography. I've been hiking in areas of that stuff and the streams and waterfalls often vanish in the summer.
I hiked that exact spot a year ago and the waterfalls & stream were dry. The creek bed is solid rock so it is like a flat highway with cracks.
+Mr. Johnson yes they do vanish in the summer. Thete is still some spots where the water is just underground and can be found if you follow the creek bed
3.5 MPH. You were practically running out. I don't blame you, rain plus night equals dangerous conditions. Don't you hate it when the hike out is all up hill?! So with the rock with the phone number and email are they saying if you find the rock you contact them? I've never seen that. I might shoot them an email and tell them I saw their rock on TH-cam! LOL! Great video
