I use to listen to this song as a little girl. I did not know what it meant. But as I grew up ended up in foster care. Had many traumatic events happen to me. I now see what this song means. As children of god our father we need to walk by faith not by sight. There is a hurting world out there that need to know that there is a god out there who loves them. God bless you all.

i’m 15 and addicted to drugs with emotionally abusive parents. before things took a turn when i was little my mom would play this song in the car. reminds me of when things were alight before my stepdad came into picture and i became extremely depressed and suicidal. listening to this reminds me i was put here for a purpose. to anyone going through hard times and it never seems to get better, i believe in you. if anyone’s reading this i love you and keep pushing through life. it hasn’t gotten better yet for me but i know there’s positivity ahead for all of us. i love you.

Thanks for sharing your story. I was suicidal at your age too and I believe that prayers from my loved ones saved me and now on my late 30s I still have mental and emotional issues caused by trauma in my teen years. What I am saying is that you are not alone, the only way out is to trust God with all your life. Pray and ask him to fulfill your needs and to heal you as needed. Might take time but He knows what he’s doing. Trust him and be patient. In the meantime do his work, read the Bible and you will find what he wants us to do here and he will take care of the rest.

Just because we don't have faith in god, or jesus, doesn't mean we dont have faith. Our faith, or atleast mine is in myself. The ability to be myself and see myself in my way, and know everything I do in my life and I accomplish is because I did it, not by the blessing of god, or jesus. I do not deny you your right, or your faith, but do not think I feel no life purpose. It is just different than yours.
I don't believe in God (my mother's foster parents are Christians and they used to take me to church with them, so I did have a chance to understand religion/become a part of the Church, I just chose not to as I simply didn't agree with the Bible at all), but saying us atheists 'feel like life has no purpose' is a ridiculous assumption. We do believe our lives have a purpose, our purpose just isn't driven by religion or God. Whilst I appreciate it, I don't need Jesus' love to open my eyes. My eyes are already open.

I doubted the existence of God for the longest time and even when I clearly seen proof of his existence I kept living for me and other worldly desires. I even still struggle with that today. I too also had a purpose in life back then and it is probably very similar to yours now. I lived for myself and tried to keep it that way. It wasn't until the Lord showed me the way I should be living that I came to accept Christ as my savior. I enjoyed my life before being a Christian but now that God has saved my soul I never want to go back to that life. I am more content with my purpose in life now more than ever and that purpose is bringing God glory. I will be praying that the Lord can reveal himself to you my friend. The love of God is greater than anything this world has to offer.

God spoke to me through this song. I was about to quit my job working with people who work with disabilities, after 2 weeks in the field. This song came on the radio on my way to work in 2008. The people I cared for were the ones forgotten, rejected by their families. They were taken from an institution and put into a group home. The only people they knew were staff. Because of this song, I did not quit and kept with it. 15 years later I am still working in the field. Praise the LORD! Thank you Brandon Heath for this amazing song!

This really hits on something we myself especially miss as Christians God give me the eyes to see that these people are broken, hurting, and hiding to conceal the hurt just like me and all those around and we all jusy need Jesus.

The message this song has is so needed in todays day and age...
As Christians, we need to not stay safely in our churches, keeping to ourselves.
We need to actually start reaching out to people. Those that truly need our help, but not just that, We need the Lords help in doing so.
In the words of Jesus himself, Luke 5:31 says "Jesus answered them, 'It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.'"
Basically, we don't need to just minister to people who are already saved, what we need to do is tell people who may have never heard the name Jesus, people who have heard it but don't think their sins can be forgiven, or even to people who completely rejected Christ.
Here in 2023 Thankful to God for each day I am granted 🙏 the roof over my head and the food I have. Praying for those who are in need of a blessing 🙏❤️ 🌍

But even in that situation NEVER stop showing and giving love to people. I'm currently in a very hard family situation and in a spiritual battle with stress and depression .School has put me into stress and pressure,i'm trying to not get stressed and not fall into depression but school has put me too much pressure, that I can't keep my life together anymore.Teachers are not helping me or putting my grades in anymore,I do all my work and try my best to follow God.
