CAT D6T - Rounded Chain Conversion Project

- Yes, you can now use the "rounded" chains for this dozer. All you need is a steel plate and some powerful glue (i used siliconebased glue called TEC7).
This solution is supereasy to install, and seems to work fine, even in mud. I dont recommend driving your dozers without pause like I did, I overheated one of the trackmotors (during normal usage like for example in dry material the dozer will be under alot less stress). And you can even use this solution for the flat chains as well meaning you dont need all those bearings and cut down some dollars on your build budget.

Just wanted to say thank you for taking the time to find a solution so quickly! I'll definitely be purchasing more model's to build as they come available, especially after seeing all the extra time and effort you put in once you were made aware of the chain supply issues. I was already working on a bulldozer model so I won't be printing this one for awhile but bought the files anyhow, to show my support. Keep up the great work!

@@burnie222rclasseanhanger6 I'm building a D11T from a 3d model I found. Unfortunately I started it before your model was released... Question about your excavator... I have an opportunity to get some 1mm sheet metal for a good price... what size of sheet is the biggest i would need and how much do I need? I know your plans haven't been released yet but I don't want to pass up on the opportunity to get the sheet metal at a good price. Thanks again!
@@brentknutson2975 the biggest sheets are for the boom, the boom is about 60 cm long, so a 60x50 sheet should probably be enough for the boom, im not sure really

How much does the dozer weight
Another great video!! Congratulations, love your machines and construction site. Are these linear actuator for the blades? If so, how many Newton or Lbf?

thank you v much :) yes, those are linear actuators ;) the speccs on them are 12v, 100mm stroke, 15mms (64 n)

Hi Lasse, I think that it would be better if the "new adapter" was narrower and ran only on the chain rollers, not on the links, the chain rollers are loose, they will roll on the pad, there will not be such friction as when moving the chain links on the plate.

thank you v much for your support :) I used google translate to try to understand your questions, but its hard to understand. Do you mean which blade you should use? there are 5 to choose from, so you can use whichever youd like. The batteries I use is 11,1v 3S Lipo, 2200mah.

Hello! I cant confirm that this is the "flat" type chain, but according to a guy on my cults messages page, it is. Here's what he wrote:

Note: The picture doesn't show flat chains but I received flat sided chains and seller confirmed this before ordering.
