I am 29 living in the UK and almost completing my PhD....and I went to that primary school when I was 5... Remarkably, I didn't even know i went there because it was for a short time.. but as this video was playing I discovered i could sing the melody of the school anthem with the instruments at 06.37..so I asked my dad if I ever went and there and he confirmed it.
It's funny how our subconscious remembers things. The school anthem i remember from 25 years ago is...the greenwood house so full of joy with branches growing sweet fresh sweet..this is the place we so much like, and for this pride, we will ever sing.. the school is the best of the best of the land, the school is the red and green, the school that is moving along with the times..hurray we are the best. Those are the words i remember from 5 years old. I will be 30 next year. I broke down and cried. Let me continue watching this video. I stopped at 6.60 to comment. Thank you, Maya.

1-There are many types of leadership in a country...It is not only political leadership...there are leadership in business, religious leadership etc....When talking about leadership...many Africans stop at political leadership...The base need also to do the right thing...This is not the responsibility of African governments alone...
How can a country or a continent really develop if the people spend all their money to import almost every thing...Unfortunately Africa is still importing massively ...manufactured goods ...and stupid stuffs like wigs...(made with Asian women hairs...some are from dead bodies...)...spending billions of dollar for that...See:

2-The lady in this video did wait for good political leaders to do the great things she is doing....Africans in the diaspora and in the continent need to import more machines (and planning to make own machines in the future), starting factories to produce manufactured goods to reduce total imports of the country is even better...The country or continent will save billions of dollar in foreign exchanges ...become richer and employ millions of people...
Many Africans even in the diaspora focus too much on politics...Even though they live in the West many don't even realize that 80-90% of the jobs and real estate developments, industries in most developed countries are done by private citizens (entrepreneurs and investors)... What politicians are doing to Nigerians by treating Nigerians as nobody is what you are doing to the rest of the protesters because you don't recognize them just because they are not celebrities yet like Mrmacaroni. So be careful when you point fingers because more fingers may just be pointing back to you.

Brother Maya, I'm watching from Bangladesh!
You are doing an amazing job!
I watch your videos often. But, this is my first comment. The first paragraph in the description box of this video inspires me to write, to express my love and respect to you. You are an amazing person with deep knowledge and a cheerful heart.
I totally agree with you. We, the non-African people, do not say- they are Nigerian or Gambian or ... people. We say they are "African" people, they are "Black" people. So, "African" or "Black" should be the main identity of an African person. No matter what is his/her country. I'm from a third-world country. Even many people from my country mock African people. Colonial Hangover! We were also ruled and manipulated by Western for 200 years. So, "until the history of Africa is told by Africans, the story of greatness will always glorify the imperialists. It's Time For Africans To Unite, Embrace their Culture and be Proud of their Roots & Tell Their Own Story!"
