Hi, just wondering if you might be interested in making a video about how and when to carry out basic maintenance to prevent problems. Things like greasing the windlass, greasing bolts, maintaining window seals, wiper blades, valve maintenance, canopy protection.... things like that. Just a thought :)
Hi Damian, Great mods and updates just a few quick questions - why did you move the SUP holders from Portside ? as I'm going to fit mine at that side. The water heater looks great and my wife is keen for us to have the hot water option whilst away for a few days. Do you have to but a whole new water unit and if so replace or remove the existing 240 volt one, did you do a video clip on the fitting of the new water heater ? I bought a Kings fridge same type and size and fitted in same spot as yours hopefully we both got this one right, its been super useful so far. There is a cupboard in the second berth I heard you mention installing some shelves, was it easy and any tips as the awkward shape is making it a long unfinished job and a bit frustrating. Thanks again keep the updates coming. Cheers Sam
Hi Sam, Thanks for reaching out. With the SUP holder on the port side it really did cut down visibility. With it being on Starboard I can see right over it, both standing and sitting. On the other side, because it was further away it blocked out more. Here is the hot water video - th-cam.com/video/PGcqYfo1rYU/w-d-xo.html It was a bit painful but not too bad. Our factory heater died so had to be replaced. The shelf in the cupboard is also painful. I didn’t do a video as I’m not a carpenter and it isn’t a great job. I made a template out of cardboard, cutting and shapping until I was happy. Used that as a template. It works but isn’t pretty! Happy boating!
Hello, I am probably going to buy a mf895 s1 soon but the offer I’m looking at doesn’t have the large solarium installed, instead it has one like yours the seat, I am thinking about making tailored cushions that will take over most of the bow and create a large solarium. My only problem is that I don’t know whether I can remove the stainless steal bar that is in the sides of the cushions. Thanks
I did all those upgrades years apart. Monitor is only a bit over $100, solar panel was about $500 (I think) and the batties were a few thousand due to rewiring and fixing some other issues. Haven't tried a 12v air con. What is the power draw with them??
Iam in the UK, and have been trying to get a tender rack made , just like yours for my 895. Would you ( sell if need be) the dimensions & specs so I can simply pass onto a UK company to make my rack. Or could you at least put me in touch with your guys and see if they have the drawings & spec to give me please 🙏
I believe Jeanneau South West in the UK do something very similar. There’s a MF UK FB group - I suspect someone there would be able to give you even more details.
So I have owned the NC1095 now for over a year. Yes it's a nice boat, Mercury's with joystick are a blessing. Garmin electronics fantastic. But a couple of issues make me wonder the overall quality of the built. Cracked portside glass panel. Defective. Portholes paint peeling off. Cheap materials. What else is going to fail after warranty expires due to poor built? Kind of loosing faith In the Jenneau brand. A real shame because boat looks good.
Our 895 is a 2018 model, so coming on six years. We've owned for 3. There are a few issues, I've also got flaking porthole paint but in general I haven't found too many issues. And they seem to be holding their value on the second hand market.
Love how you make boat ownership so accessible and real.
Thanks, very unlike actually owning a boat!!!

I love that boat
Super thanks

Thanks for the idea. I'm about to get haulout for service in the next few weeks!!

Hi Damian, I have recently bought a MF795 sport. Could you let me know where you've done for canopy with? I live in Brisbane.
Shane is your man, from Hook, Line and Trimming. I think he is based at Coomera but does travel.
@@TheRudder Thank you! :)

Maybe they could design the cushions to go over the bars??? Sort of double thickness but would be a lot to store. Good luck.
Great modifications ! How much did the extra batteries, monitor and solar panels cost you ? And have you considered an RV style 12v aircon unit ?

@@TheRudder I think it’s about 600w peak.
@@attilaborguet so that is an amp draw of 50A!! That would deplete the batteries fairly quickly. 600W might be peak power??

The guys that did the work are called Shine Stainless. Previously a few MR owners got together can did a bulk shipment, they do ship international.
@TheRudder thank you, do you have the address or town so I can search from UK please 🙏

@@justincole7566 Many thanks I will try that route, as it cost as much to ship the rack from Aus as to make it, so that will not work for me.
