My evolve bamboo GT has changed my life. It truly is one of my best investments. It helps calm me down, relieve any stress or pain I have and even helps me think back and fix my mistakes. The clarity in my mind is unbelievable on my evolve and I love it to bits!
This is a fantastic sales pitch , because it's actually totally true. They are not selling a simple means of transport , but in actual fact they are selling an adventure and escapism from the everyday pressures of life .
I think evolve should be proud on on putting this out not the easiest thing to talk about at times but people able to represent the importance of mental health is so important in peoples health going beyond just a skate company today well done
Evolve thank you for putting this video out. It’s true that people fight demons that other people can’t see. Highly stressed from work ect. Riding and electric skateboard just takes all that away for a brief moment and all focus is just where I am going. It’s not a easy subject to talk about either. So thank you to all the people who was involved. Absolute hero’s! Keep shredding guys. :)
Skating (surfing alike) give you the freedom of your thoughts. You can throw any anxiety out the window as you are floating along and focus on what’s in front of you. Not necessarily behind. Props to your guys and gals at evolve for raising this. Huge effort!
I had bad managers for the last 3 years in my job, making you feeling bad because you can not make a great work without their needed validation that always come with delays. I receive 2months of salary to leave, and directly buy a GTX with no guarantee that I will like it. Best intuition of the last months ! It allows me to be outside, to enjoy nature, to be highly focused on the curves, to enjoy like a daily « snowboard ride » in my city, and to be happy to spend 1h per day on a useful activity. It could make you laughing to hear that e-board is a healthy mental friend, but for me it clearly is ! Thanks to Evolve Staff for that 😘 Vous etes bons les gars ✨
Got into longboarding four years ago after I turned 40. Was met with a fantastic fun and helpful community. Now I jumped on the electric wagon as well, and am discovering a new community not unlike the first one, but easier available to the general public. And with a board with AT/Offroad options you have so much space available for playing and taking your mind off the daily stress. Best decision I have ever made :)
I have like many had a very challenging year. It was just a month ago when a total stranger offered me a go on his GTR. Within 3 days I had one ordered which I picked up last Thursday. I love it, I totally get what they are talking about in the video. It's turned the whole year around in just 2 days. Thank you to that stranger, thank you Evolve for helping me find a board so quickly. Skate On!
Awesome video, having suffered depression and downers my bamboo GT helps me escape from those worries or stress. Group rides recently has helped make new friends and get out of the house more thanks Evolve :)
Never truer words said! well done to you all, I do it on my bike I now do it on my carbon gen 2 ...... “riding the pain away” I’ve never thought of these actions we/I do were being mindful and meditative, I just knew I needed it, and I feel awesome at the time and afterwards. You have all hit the nail on the head. Power and all good things to you all.
My electric Longboard hobby....ok,it is not cheap...(ok, 3 Boards now, Gen2, GTX and now GTR, Bamboos 😉)...but for me it's the same in the summertime. I come home from work, was stressed...get on my Board and it's wayyyyy better. I come down and switch off from work. For me, one of the best investments! 😊😊🏂🏂🏂🤙🤙🤙
Hi James, it took me 3 weeks of everyday practice to only « try » the GT Mode on my GTX. The secret for my evolvution is regularity and daily exercises (slalom, break tests, finding the contact limits of tires..). The reward of that was to realize 6months later, that I am now able to make a 25km trip instead of my 14km hardest begin trip. I changed my GTX for the loved GTR for this reason. Enjoy Man 😉
Listen to the guys above, I didn`t. Second day was riding in GTR mode, it went fine for 2 weeks, but got too cocky after those 2 weeks and got myself 6 stiches in the elbow, and I know how to fall (because I do Parkour and thats one of the first things we learn), someone else would be in a worse shape. In the end, just be cautious and dont be cocky like me ;)
Got my son a evolve board after he had a mental health crisis. It did him the world of good. The only down side is the cost of repairs. £300 plus for a 8 month old board. Even riding within the recommendations of the person who sold us the board. So make sure you have loads of spare cash for repairs. Evolve are a business and the image of just skaters like you is a little flat. So at the moment he’s stuck being in doors until we get the cash for the repair.
I've been a big fan of your electric longboards for years. Unfortunately, I live in Switzerland and our policy is very slow when it comes to regulating road transport. This always gives me unwanted conversations with the police. But there is the option to get the Boards checked so that they can be used on public roads. Is there any plan to do that?
Not the most affordable remedy to mental illness especially here in France, I got a 2.5 years old BGT that is having lots of problems because maintaining it would cost quite a bit, and as much as riding it can definitely help my mood when it's not working it affects my mood just as much...
Part of the reason why I am having trouble with it is because of wrong choices I made which I take full responsibility for, also the facts that my NZ BGT isn't 100% legal here, I don't want to invest in repairing it too much and I am considering buying a new one, but the GTR are so pricy over here that I got to put eskateboarding aside for a bit and it's not something I am happy about...
The problem I have is that after moving back from Australia, shipped the sagging stock battery separately, I had a custom battery built, which cost me a lot, and now the cell number 6 isn't holding charge, I tried replacing the cell but the cells from the sagging battery don't seem to work either, I also had to replace the motor controller a bunch of times before and after the custom made battery, so now I feel like this board has cost me quite a bit and will stay a project for when I feel like working on it, I am waiting for my bank account to be in better shape before considering getting a Stoke or something.
As I said I made bad choices, partly trying to get around the high prices of Evolve France and now my board turns off randomly and can't get more than 13km out of it...
Would love to be a part of this Community, but i live in germany, and it is illegal to ride a e skateboard outside at public streets and roads... Because of that i havent bought a board yet.
Hi Robin, we have a huge community of riders in Germany. Perhaps jump on Facebook and find some local riders groups and they will tell you their perspective on how they ride.

There's a lot of shit happening in the world right now. When I'm on my board, it all goes away.
True dat.
When I study it really helps me if I take a break every two hours or so to ride for a bit.
This is a fantastic sales pitch , because it's actually totally true. They are not selling a simple means of transport , but in actual fact they are selling an adventure and escapism from the everyday pressures of life .
My board has helped me in more ways then I know riding just is the best places I can be no matter where I am.

Preach!

Amen to that.
Yeah, that's absolutely true when I ride my evolve GT I get a euphoric feeling and mental clarity. Throughout the ride 💯💯💯💯💯💯

You should also always wear a helmet and at the beginning also other protective gear. Knee pads and hand protection saved my a few times already

Great stuff guys❤️
I totally agree riding an electric skateboard can change your mood and your life !
Great video, the diy scene amplifies affect it can have on your life. I'm hoping my hobby can be a career.
EVOLVE UNDERSTANDS IT'S RIDERS !!
Love my board
4:10 Really enjoyed this part most of all.
Incredible video team !!
I ride mine, the same as if I'm on a endless wave. Doing snaps or cutbacks and calving. With no sharks.
Got my son a evolve board after he had a mental health crisis. It did him the world of good.

8 months is still under warranty.

I really wanna get this, idk what's stopping me.
@Ryan yeah that's partly it. Idk if I'm wasting my money though

Maybe getting it covered by social security could help. Jk

Love the GTX. Looking into the GTR or Kaly NYC. Which one?: th-cam.com/video/SzGjV1X9Ngs/w-d-xo.html
it's really delicious sensation
