First Boat 2023-24 Season Soo Locks

The 1,000-foot EDWIN H. GOTT was greeted by Sault Ste. Marie, MI, officials March 24, 2023, just a few hours before she would become the first vessel to pass through the Soo Locks for the new shipping season. On hand were the mayor of Sault Ste. Marie, members of the city commission, representatives of the Soo Locks Visitor Center Association, the Chamber of Commerce and the Convention and Visitors Bureau.
