This week's video of Model Cars and Coffee is AMT's 39/40 Ford Sedan Customized. Thank you to Left Coast Model Car Builds for a great opportunity to show off a few of our past build / @leftcoastmodelcarbuilds
@Reset317 thank you. That was an old flip flop paint from Plastikote. It was supposed to be paint over a black primer, but I panted it over a 2 part base coLacquer Maroon. Then hit it with 3 coats of clear lacquer.
@smithgroove945 thank you. I promoted the Syracuse Mini Nationals Model Car contest for a few years. I had signs left over from that. I figured they would make a good background for doing the videos
@mr.dositmodelcarbuilder9565 I checked it out nice job. Reminded me there was a couple chapters about my build that were forgotten. I might have to do a part two prequel.
@AmateurScaleModelBuildi-lj3so I know some of the guys. connected offshouts of the ones that ran show. I showed them some pictures, and I explained to them that I used 5 minute epoxy to coat the inside of the body because pieces kept breaking apart. That was before I started using solvent for glue. That show was the last one they had. I never got to talk to the actual guys. This was built back when some guys were complaining that resin bodies were cheating somehow, like some are complaining about 3d printed parts now. It was about half a year later before I was told why they overlooked it.

@frizzosmodels, thank you. It did burn me for a bit, but I got over it. It only happened at the one show.

Thanks Ron this one was built back in the S.C.A.M. days
It's hard to get a '40 sedan top chop to look right, but you nailed it! Well done!
@garyfishel9612 thanks, a sane person would have never tried it
Incredible build Chuck! There is so much to look at it was hard to take it all in! Happy Sunday ☕😎👍

Love it...funny how people show jealousy in others skills instead of trying to improve their own...

Really sweet build. I hope they figured out it wasn't a resin.
