I don't know if you have noticed, but at the moment in the video were Anna was trying to explain the right way of singing ( 6:13), Tiago imitated her with the sound of the same pitch (6:24)! Great for such a young child! I hope he will become great musician as his both parents are!

Yes you are right,she is a lyric soprano, not drammatico soprano, so many years later her voice is changed bad because She singed l’opera that is not for her.
Anna is a natural, such a beautiful voice, pittiful these artists do not come/perform in South America... Let alone to Suriname on the northcoast of South America....

I don't think she have to move to dramatic parts it would be not Anna, she is amazing in what she does.. Just my opinion. I love Anna and i think she reached perfection in liric parts and must keep it.
I love the color of her voice --it's velvety and yet so sparkly in her high range. I just love it == which is why I'm so mad she has taken on roles that are too heavy for her instrument. She should not be doing Anna Bolena and Norma and Tosca. It's ruining her voice, settling it too low in her body. Her coloratura is getting muddy and she's having trouble with her B's and C's -which were always effortless for her before. :((
Dear Anna... YES you are still a lirico soprano!!! Stop pushing yourself for the dramatic roles!!! You are a Violetta, Manon, Susanna, etc. BUT you are NOT a Tosca or a Leonora!!!!
When Anna sings with Dmitry, is really nice and marvelous ; her voice calm is splendid, but I don't like when she's crying hard long a time in opera for it's not good for her's voice and dangerous for her's health.With all my best wishes for her and for her clever boy.
@LazyBoy9476 I love Diana Damrau a lot too and I like Renee Fleming. Have heard Damrau live in Le Comte Ory but haven't yet had a chance to hear Fleming live. I find Anna'a voice very beautiful - it is much much better live (have heard her in Don Pasquale and Anna Bolena), this is true for everyone, but I find the difference between live and recorded sound more strking with Anna Netrebko. But again - we all perceive voices/music differently.
I'll trust your judgement, as I said I am not an expert. I thought her timbre is naturally dark even though a friend of mine thinks like you do, so you may well be right.
@LazyBoy9476 You are entitled to your opinion. Tastes differ. I heard her live at the Met, and I loved her. Do you not like her specifically or opera in general? BTW - check out her video singing "Meine lippen", the one where she throws flowers see if it bores you. Regardless, we are all different and what bores one person gives pleasure to another.
@Rhopoe She might be almost a spinto now IMHO (no, I am not an expert so it's just a lay person opinion). Her voice was much lighter and higher when she was young like here: /watch?v=anOokyjhR4g but I think it got darker and bigger as she got older and especially after she had her baby. It is a big voice now, I recently heard her live at the Met and I was amazed at how large it is now.
