Nice trailer. I'm not all that familiar with the one you have but I have a Load Trail dump trailer (8' X 16') with the 3-way gate. 1st way is swing open like yours. The 2nd way is opening the bottom and setting the chains for the desired amount of discharge also like yours. The 3rd way is look on top ends of your gate there should be a pin on each side that you can pull. The gate can then be dropped down just like a tailgate on a pickup truck. That allows you to load up long items easier.
Like the video!! My 2 cents🤠👍 26k is single vehicle, if ur pulling a trailer that is rated over 10k GVWR and working for a company you are falling under DOT regs. So many ways to look at it. If it's personal use no employees then different rules. I took my CDL test pulling an empty 14k trailer. The regulation to take a CDL test is must have a trailer 10k GVWR or more to get license. Good video Brock. I was seriously considering one a few months back and decided to hold off. I was gonna have to go smaller with my Nissan Armada and also with our hills we couldn’t pull it safely behind our tractors. We have quarries about 7 miles away and I thought it would be convenient but have decided to just pay for 9 ton deliveries of stone and soon possibly some fill dirt. Maybe down the road. But definitely see it being a very handy tool for you, congrats on the purchase. - Josh
Thanks I’ve had 250 tons of rock delivered to our property in the last year. It doesn’t go as far as you think it will. I’m also putting in multiple parking areas end all the way around my buildings with it. I’d like to pick up odd jobs here and there hauling rock for other people, but I can only haul about 4 tons which is basically a residential driveway. I would also have the ability to bring dirt in to level someone’s yard or something something
Brock! Your new trailer I have been kicking around for a year or so. But I need some more attachments first. Congratulations on your trailer! Really nice brother! But I'd still love to see that new chipper in action!!
Thats a nice trailer. It is what I have been looking at here in Canada as well. There is a trailer place near me that has either steel or aluminim ones. They are the same price, funny enough. I've heard them called barn doors. At least that is what I've always called that style.
I might have missed it in prior videos, but what do you guys manufacture? All I remember is the pocket hole jig that you use for it. Thanks, and nice trailer!
I traded that for a 16 foot long. I have a review on that as well. New Dump Trailer - Gooseneck or Bumper Pull? Is Bigger Really Better? th-cam.com/video/vq84LfslbwU/w-d-xo.html
Nice trailer Brock. You'll put it to use. Wish I had one. One question. If I understand correctly, gross total on your truck is 12,000#. With approximately 5,500# truck and 3,000# trailer-that leaves 3,500# for material. Am I wrong. I also have a 1500 Ram, and this has come up . Thanks
I’m pretty sure the 12,000 pounds is the actual tow capacity It is a limited with the highest tow package they put on a half ton So trailer is 4000 pounds I can put 8000 pounds in it That’s 4 tons, but my plan is to only put 3 tons in it
Too bad it has the scissor lift instead of the telescopic lift cylinder. When the cylinder is up front it creates more lift. I bought my 14K 14’ goose neck dump trailer in Monroe, TX. for $6,950.00 it was the very last one they had and they weren’t expecting another one for several months. The prices have gone through the roof since I purchased mine in 2020.
Thanks for sharing I use this dump trailer a lot and I’ve never had to charge the battery. The trickle charger takes care of it I did put a solar charger on the battery for my winch on my other trailer. I have not had to charge that battery either so it’s working out A wireless would be nice but I’ve got a 40 foot cord on it now so I can stand all the way behind it and see the low dumping Thanks for watching
Tow capacity isnt the issue it's the payload capacity. Just bc it's within tow capacity doesn't mean your truck can handle the weight. If your tongue weight is higher then the payload weight which is only about 1 thousand pounds for a half ton your gonna have problems. Plus your gonna burn up your transmission with that half ton lol
Thanks for the feedback but I think I’m good It is a new Ram limited with the air suspension and Max tow package Payload is 1800. 150,000 mile pertain warranty
14k should be minimum? I disagree. Each person needs to look at their situation. I tow a 9990 dump with my half ton and it’s perfectly paired. It has paid for itself multiple times over. I live 30 min from MS River and can get whatever rock I want for cheap right off the barge. State law in MS prohibits a 14k on a 1/2 ton. You can use a 14k I just wouldn’t tow to the max. I’d back off one ton.
What are you trying to say about 14 K minimum? There’s definitely no minimum. The trailer weighed 4000 pounds and had a 14 K maximum, which is obviously very different than a minimum That Ram 1500 had a 12,500 pound tow capacity which meant I could put 8000 pounds in the dump trailer. I did that for a few months before upgrading to a three-quarter ton. I’ve actually also upgraded to a larger, dump trailer now

I’m looking at the same size trailer. You answered many questions. Video very well done. Thanks
Awesome, Brock! You're going to love that thing. It's amazing how many uses you can find for a dump trailer. I love mine!
I watch your videos about it before I bought mine.
Thanks
Congrats on the new trailer Brock, That will come in handy.....
Thanks
Brock like the trailer wish had can't wait to see videos on loading tractor and attachments
God Bless All

As always, thank you for watching and for commenting. I really appreciate it
That is one super nice trailer. I really want one. Thanks for showing this video.
Thanks
I love it so far
Love my B&W stow and tow. Throw the hair pins out and replace them with small lynch pins.
Thanks for the feedback

I have seen that Style in other videos
I don’t think mine does but I’m not certain
Thanks for the feedback. I will check that out tomorrow
As my grandad use to say, “That’s handy as a pocket on a shirt.”
Looks really handy!
Thanks
I was thinking the other day that you needed a dump trailer! Nice!
Yeah, I’m going to do this type of work I need to be able to move material
Like the video!!

Thank you
Nice trailer, should work great for you, enjoy your videos😊
Thanks for watching and for commenting
Nice! I’ve definitely tested the limit of a Ram 1500. Five tons of sand on a 14’ will have you tiptoeing to a stop.
Definitely testing the limits of the 1500. Hauled the tractor in it yesterday and it pulled well.
That is only 5k pounds though
Awesome trailer. I agree that they’ll only go up in price.
Yeah, it just seems like inventory was dropping so I move this purchase up a couple months
Cool trailer sir! I just got a 12 foot 83” wide today !
I use the dump trailer a lot. Very handy
Thanks for watching
U know anything of upgrading the barn doors to be able to tilt to lay gravel
Brock! Your new trailer I have been kicking around for a year or so. But I need some more attachments first. Congratulations on your trailer! Really nice brother! But I'd still love to see that new chipper in action!!
I needed a 14000 pound trailer for all the wood chips I’m going to make
I asked the dealership about the Chipper yesterday. Still says may 9th
Nice trailer Brock. Get you a spare tire cover with your TH-cam channel name on it.
Great idea
I already have magnets but I like your 💡

Are they about that same price? I paid 10k. I don’t know how that translate to Canadian money. Probably 12 K or so?
I might have missed it in prior videos, but what do you guys manufacture? All I remember is the pocket hole jig that you use for it. Thanks, and nice trailer!

Awesome review! You and I have the same thought process! Do you still have this trailer or upgraded?
I traded that for a 16 foot long. I have a review on that as well.

Now it is time to go get a 3/4 ton truck and you will have a perfect match.
I went and looked at them Friday but I don’t think I’m ready to pull that trigger yet

I don’t believe I’ve ever seen a trailer video where the brand was never mentioned! What brand is this dump trailer?
Friesen
They are a smaller manufacture that I think is only available in my local area so I didn’t say anything about it
Ya need to get a Wireless remote in a solar panel to keep your battery charged

I went on bri mars website found the trailer i wanted and started callling their licensed dealers. Wish i didnt buy a brimar.
