your Southport dress looks fab, thank you for the reminder I have had one cut out for at least a couple of years now!! going to dig it out and have a look. its a great sun dress. 🥰
Oh my gosh Bec that Belle dress is going to be absolutely gorgeous. I have that print in the viscose challis and the lawn. I used some of the lawn to make the pockets for the Mitchell trousers which unfortunately didn't work out but I really want to use the rest for a shirt as it is just such a beautiful print. That pink for trousers will be so beautiful and if you had some of the print you intend to use for Belle for a top it would be even more perfect - that's what I love about Lady McElroy prints, that they have many colours to bring out. Pink and red gorgeousness! I have to wear boring black for work so I get to wear lots of colour after hours and on the weekend. I still have projects I started before having surgery in March that I still haven't finished. This weekend I need to make black pants and a black top for work (I'm going back as a Diploma educator in long daycare at a childcare centre in a neighbouring town - pure fluke of getting a job but it's overmuch welcomed as then I can finally get my sewing studio renovated). I just LOVE that Southport dress. I knew when you showed the fabric and proposed the pattern it would look so elevated. It's stunning!
Ahhh thank you, I think it will be lovely too, this print would definitely work for a shirt. Their fabrics are always colourful. Hopefully you will get some of those projects finished soon, it’s so easy to go onto the next exciting make though xx
The south port dress is so gorgeous it’s that lovely that I’ve just ordered the pattern lol 😂 it definitely suits you and I think you should make many many more.x
The Southport dress is really lovely, I also have the pink and red fabric you got from you swaps table , so now wonder if I should make a Southport dress in it, thank you for the inspiration 😊
Dress is lovely-I was thinking if someone still wanted an opening-it could be changed to a short zip. But I personally, I love the buttons!! :+) I didn't see these fabrics next to one another-but...if they are close enough in color, have you thought about taking the red and pink leopard print and mixing with the red and pink larger print you got at your sewing swap?? That might make a cute set of some sort. But, they may not be close enough in color-I would have to see them next to one another! :+) Just a thought! You looked great today-have a fab week-end, and a safe one!! Thank you.
Love the Southport- you inspired me to buy the pattern. I think your fabric really elevates it. Shame about the blue fabric - I have had the same experience with Rainbow fabrics so don’t buy from them any more - which also means I miss out on some good fabrics !! Looking forward to seeing all your garments you have prepped. 😊 Lynne
Glad you went and looked at the Southport Dress as it really looks great on you. I wore mine on holiday a couple weeks ago but I must have shrunk as it’s now too long! Doesn’t need to button placket really does it, as there is so much ease. Looking forward to seeing what else you make for your hols
Loved your version of the Southport Dress and very good to know that it is an easy make as it definitely is on my list to make next. Would you not bother with the buttons at all then and just cut on the fold next time or was it just the plackets you would not do next time but still have the buttons? Sorry I had my toddler shouting in my ears when you explained that bit 😅😅
Wow the Southport had gone right on my list! It looks great!!! Oh the red and pink ❤❤❤
Thank you lovely x
Oh wow BecKy, that looks absolutely gorgeous on you, fits like a glove! 😍
Thank you x
Becky, I’ve made several pairs of the Plateau jogger shorts and I love them, the construction is clever and they come together quickly.
Ooo that’s good to know thank you x

Hi Bec! Your dress is beautiful. I can't do too much sewing at our sewing social because I'm so busy mingling around.😅😅😅
Thank you 😊
Love your Southport dress. I have two here in Cape Verde and love them. I'll be making more for the next holiday 😊😊

Lovely to see your Southport dress. I’m just tracing my pattern pieces off at the moment to make the same. 😊

Ahhh thank you, I am really trying to get through them 😊
Love your channel and your vlogs. Where is the fabric from on the Marnie blouse from? It is gorgeous!!!!
It was a deadstock from rainbow fabrics last year x

I like the look of the plackets and buttons, but you don’t need them, they are purely decorative, so if I was to make it again I might omit them. X
@@whatbecsews oh I see, thank you! xx
Lovely vlog! You are going to be so busy! Do you have a recommendation on any posts that explain the bias binding of the neck, etc, well?
There is one on the true bias website for the Southport under sewalongs - Southport - neck and binding xx
@@whatbecsews Thanks so much!
