- Radical Red 3.1 is out! Here's how I beat it as a Hardcore Nuzlocke before the new update released. I'll play Hardcore Mode on the new version.

Nuzlocke Rules:
1. Fainting = Death
2. Can only catch the first Pokémon on each route
3. Nickname all Pokémon
Hardcore Rules:
4. No items in battle (held items ok)
5. No leveling past the next gym leader
6. Play on "Set" battle mode
7. Play on Restricted Mode

Radical Red is very easily managable in a normal playthrough. This however, is INSANITY.

This video deserves so much more views than it has you can really tell that this took a lot to make I mean a hour video isn’t fun to edit and you had to go through multiple attempts of this game keep up the grind bro I can tell u gone grow alot soon

Always been a big vikavolt fan. That man has crazy buffed speed in inclement emerald if you haven't played that. it's literally a pseudo legendary in that game

21:45 fun fact! You can actually solo this fight with Empoleon using calm mind, flash cannon, surf, protect/ice beam and leftovers. Everytime I get lucky and get a Piplup I use it against Koga
It can also solo the archer/Ariana tag battle with roost, scald, flash cannon, and a move slot that I don’t think matters

So you got a Celdon Egg & Game Corner? Isn’t that doubling an encounter for Celadon?
So the Game Corner is it’s own “met at” location separate from Celadon in this game if I remember right. The Celadon Department store technically is it’s own location too, but it’s flagged as Celadon due to a bug. I personally didn’t take the Dept Store, but some people do

Sick game though, yeah it's hard but it's so good. Not only because of all the pokemon and quality of life additions but it's not stupid hard, it's hard because you gotta know the game, it's not just fucking you over for the sake of it. It gives you everything you need to easily make teams quickly it's all on you to succeed
Going through it on "Easy Mode" as a casual run...and I've had to get to level caps Misty, and I'm still having trouble with Surge....why did the run maker turn Charge Beam into a 100% chance for boost? Thats so broken, and i cant do stat reductions to save myself with that...
Ah the rad red experience, there's so much absurdly busted stuff in this game LOL. That's part of the charm I suppose

Was not aware that safari zone lobby is an encounter location, but I did indeed hatch eggs in the tunnels and SS Anne

I don’t get how he has squirtle litten and cindaquil… honestly he has some of the most nuts encounters as is, I’m on my 15th plus run and never been as stacked. Even with a legit dog tier starter choice.

In the celadon city mansion there’s a vendor that gives you eggs containing random starters. There’s locations in the game that have a “met at” tag but don’t have any actual encounters, so these are used to hatch one egg each for the encounters - an example is the underground path. Some locations that do have grass, water etc just have bad encounters so I chose to hatch an egg instead. With proper routing you can guarantee quite a few really insane encounters every run.

@@Moxi honestly i agree, it did numbers for me throughout many of my nuzlocke attempts though and was a strong consideration for e4, probably my 8th or 9th choice, so it's awesome to see you succeed with it. i love dry skin both for the water absorbency and the additional fire weakness. something cool and unique about parasect taking 5x damage from fire
