Delta’s cancer was when she was a teenager. She lost her speech just a few years ago when she had a salivary gland removed. She’s been through a lot our Delta but she’s tough. You should react to the story of her recovery.
She’s got one of the best voices on the planet

She had a hit with this at about 17-18 yrs old. Great voice and pianist. She performed a medley at Olivia NJ memorial in Victoria australia ( as they were both cancer battlers )
Even more incredible is the fact she is sitting and playing the piano in the outdoors on the forecourt of our Sydney Opera House right on the harbour front. All you hear is her angelic vocals which just soar up to the clouds...I love this performance. The guy playing an indigenous instrument called a Diggeree Doo is now her fiancé . Great reaction Brandon. ps Delta has appreared on Ellen singing a duet with Michael Bolten. and last year did a sold out tour with the Back Street Boys all over the US. She was a star!
Crikey I remember her bringing this out originally. That high note at the end. Floored me when I first ever heard it.
To be precise. During her recent operation her voice box or larynx was not touched, so in that way her voice was always there. Thank god! Her nerves to her tongue got damaged hence the rehab to relearn to speak and sing. Her 12 mins documentary is very inspiring. It’s worth checking out 😀

Delta actually had non Hodgkin’s lymphoma, when she was only 18. In October 2018 delta has surgery to remove the salivary gland, to where she didn’t think she would ever sing again. As Delta had to re learn to speak and eventually sing. Her voice before this surgery was so smooth, and after it’s only got better. And I think that’s why @davidhandson mentioned the story behind Paralysed. @BrandonFaul.

Just to point out, Delta didn’t have leukaemia she had Hodkins Lymphoma. Such a phenomenal voice hope you do more- Heavy is one of her best. The 12 months of relearning how to talk and sing was not after her cancer but after her more recent vocal cord paralysis after a nerve was damaged during throat surgery.
Whoever told me to react to this said she had leukemia 🤷♂️

Before her cancer She was Drop Dead Gorgous her hair was at least twice as long.
She's still drop, dead gorgeous!
