honestly this was the last movie that needed a live action (hint: nothing ever needs a live action remake)
Holy crap, it actually looks good....
How to train your dragon doesn't need a remake wtf it's prefect as it is that's what we grow up watching and that's what we love as growing up
0:22 Black viking lol
Were Scottish vikings a thing?
There actually might have been black viking, most of them slaves that ganed freedom. Modern depiction of viking comes mostly from made-up stories by the Nazi's and white supremacists. For instance, they never worn horned helmets.
Maybe he has reverse Vitiligo lol
I don’t know I have tears watching this trailer. How To Train Your Dragon is my all time favorite 😭
They were so close in getting 100% on the casting
main problem i got with is the casting for Astrid, like WTF nah man as a Norwegian (unless she wears a wig) imma be offended tbh... i don't say it but fk it this time i will... fking stupid and im so sick of white characters being casted as a black actor
They got Gerard Butler back as Stoic and it's the same director.
Hope they get David Tennant as spitelout since he "voiced" him in the 1st film had 1 line in it, but it been disputed that it wasn't him it was gobber that said it but it sounded like Tennant (but he listed in the credits as spitelout though) he voiced him in race to the edge cartoon and did the audiobooks
Where is the animation error the hesitate on toothless when he touched hiccups hand??
Can’t wait for Shrek live action
Don't Forgot
Madagascar
Kung Fu Panda
Trolls
The Croods
@@yaolofe3852 and Jurassic world dreamworks
Honestly. One of the better looking live-action adaptations Ive seen in a while. Solid actors that look like their counterparts, and even the CGI doesnt look bad. I can tell some slight differences with Toothless but it gives the same warm feeling as the original trailer did. Not bad and may actually try to see this one, good job on the studio. Oh and also nice to see no big names thrown in for no reason. *cough* Borderlands *cough cough*
Toothless and the dragons looks amazing live action!!!
Like Stitch 2025
The fact that they dont have to give Toothless the Sonic treatment already gives me high hopes for this movie and if it does end up being great I would not mind seeing the rest of the trilogy like this
Come on guys when they try to change some design people complain but when it’s the same they also complain… The goal of this movie is to rewatch in a new format a story that we all love
Why though? The original movie is still great and can be watched in any platform, this is literally pointless.
I personally am open to new interperations! It intrigues me and a nice way to introduce new generation to the original
Literally just saw a fan made version of this less than 24 hours ago nice to know this is now real and confirmed.
Oh this trailer looks nice, I think I have the movie at home already. Seriously, they're making it look eerily similar to the original. We don't need remakes or live action adaptations anymore. As a curly, red-haired cartoon school teacher once said, "Take chances, make mistakes and get messy!" This movie projects once of them and its not the one you think.
I'm so glad they used the theme of HTTYD for the music as opposed to that generic trailer music.
Black vikings? Yeah sure 🙄
Black vikings?
@@LG4K4K People over reacting to movies they never intended to watch anyways. The movie will be adequate. Nothing more or less.
@@korytoombs886
Im just confused lol
But then Gerard Butler isnt Scandinavian so
that music *chef's kiss ... it's been 14 years since the first one came out ... super excited to see this in live action 🥹
Animation on Toothless is amazing!
Noticed how they didn’t show Astrid. Almost like they are scared of backlash and how it would ruin the movie chances
Hiccup is suppose to be 14, this dude looks 4 years older and ot shows. No way they're gonna be able to do the series justice
Here we go 🙄
it's the original creator who's making the movie
Gerard Butler as Stoick = Big W
Honestly couldn't have just understood that now it's a live action movie you don't make Vikings have horns on their damn helmets that is inaccurate to the extreme
It’s the rule of cool it’s inaccurate ya but cool looking
Actually vikings most likely never even wore the horns on their helmets, at least none were found. Horns appeared in the stories after couple of centuries after the big era of the vikings
@@DrRexie My Guy its a movie about dragons not a historical drama
@JimmyWangYang999 yes but they're literally calling themselves Vikings They're not Vikings if they have horns on their helmets and these ones seem to be more accurate than the ones from the animated movie and as a person who is a proud Norse pagan I hate how much America bastardizes my culture
@NeonChannel no horns on the helmets was an americanized bastardization of what Vikings actually were it's not accurate whatsoever you look back into the history of Vikings and not a single one of them wore horned helmets
Please just be exactly the same as the cartoons. Don't change anything
Wasnt is supposed to be black trans female who identifies as cactus, taming the dragon?
As long as John Powell does the music, this is looking pretty promising
Black vikings lmao 😅😂🤣
Lmao you were there huh?
@@NexGenTek yes we were.
@@NexGenTek bro. The Nordic culture is literally the whitest culture in the world. As far north as you can go. Africans are native to “AFRICA” How would an African get to Norway?
God test drive will never not be epic
Wait.... this isnt an SNL skit?
I will allow it, if they promise to do part II with Cate Blanchett.
At least they got Gerard Butler, that’s pretty cool
He isnt Scandinavian though
Man seeing Toothless is like seeing an old friend again ❤
This brings back memories when I first saw the animated film in theaters.
How to your dragon is my favorite dreams works franchise. Idc if its a 1:1 remake im still gonna go see it. I practically grew up with hiccup. The 2nd movie really resonated with me cause we were around the same age at the time. That flying scene inspire me to go skydiving. The freedom of freefall is exhilarating.
