It’s super helpful and will definitely help improve your art! You can also use shish kebab skewers if you don’t have knitting needles. Basically, any thin stick will work. 😊

I just leave mine open on my desk or another surface where it won’t be disturbed. It take a day or two to completely dry.

I never learned this technique and just assumed you did it based on the whole needle and 'mark' sizes on there

That’s interesting. 😊 No, I just use it to make a unit of measurement and plan out the whole composition. It’s a bit like an art calculator.

In our charity shops they always sell knitting needles that have been donated. You can also use wooden shish kebab skewers. 😊
