Omg I wish I could show you my sims. I fell in love with an Indian sim in ratboys save file. His name is Vikram Bal-Singh. He now has a teenage daughter named Nameera Bal-Singh and his mom named Divya. I’ve been enjoying playing with them. Im a black female by the way but I have so much more fun playing with all ethnicities. It makes the game a lot more interesting and you can really develop a connection with your sims. I’m going to use Nameera for the new pack.

I feel so bad for the modders, they are working so hard on getting their content fixed for us and they do a wonderful job. I think for me at this point I am going to take out my mods and go vanilla for a couple weeks if not longer until most the bugs get worked out. I can understand that there's been problems, but I've been playing this game since the very first Sims and I just still enjoy playing. Despite the issues. All I do in the comments is go on about how much i love this channel but i really have to do it again lol. Here's what I love about your content (just part of what i love, that came to my mind during this vid) 1) The realistic, lived in vibe to your houses and apartments. 2) How you pick the background characters and develop them over time, but do it purposefully, with an idea in mind. 3) Diversity that comes from your heart. My perspective is very different from many people from USA, I live in Poland, where most people are white, I think the first time I met and talked to a black person was on a study abroad programme in Norway. So diversity isn't something that naturally comes to me - not because i don't WANT or CARE about other ethnicities in culture, but because I only know some of them from international media, and I also wouldn't want to represent someone in a shallow way. But there is a HUGE difference between checking off minorities off the list like they are pokemon and putting in effort to make them believable. I cannot judge how well you represent different cultures, but I see that you care about it. And let me tell you, my knowledge about Philippines is very limited. It's not a country that's present in mainstream media, really. It's kind of the reason why your growing together series is soooo interesing and endearing to me, because you speak about your roots with so much love, and it's clear you didn't just add this ethnicity to your gameplay for brownie points with your subcribers or to make your sims different or whatever. And i love it. Not saying you cannot just make a black sim that lives a life of a very white suburban American, but it just feels different. Also, the gameplay kinda vibes with me, because Polish people emigrate a lot in Europe, like everyone knows someone who knows what it's like to move somewhere where you don't know anyone and start from scratch. So maybe that's also that. Are there many people emigrating from Philippines? Sorry for such a long comment, but i really like your content and your thoughts, and i often find myself thinking about stuff after watching these "silly sims videos" as if they were 2h video essays haha.

Speaking on the diversity, they really mustn't have watched ANY video of yours. But why even comment that to begin with?? Some people just don't do/have diversity in their content, and that goes for anything! Sims, art, etc. Forced diversity never feels right, it never feels authentic. Like you said the "token black kid" in movies or any other forms of media is just... wack 😑. Ofc we want more diversity (as a queer POC myself) but ppl are gonna draw, create, or play as who they want to. Lets encourage diversity, not force it. Or hell, lets create/show the diversity ourselves 😤👌!!

My perspective is very different from many people from USA, I live in Poland, where most people are white, I think the first time I met and talked to a black person was on a study abroad programme in Norway. So diversity isn't something that naturally comes to me - not because i don't WANT or CARE about other ethnicities in culture, but because I only know some of them from international media, and I also wouldn't want to represent someone in a shallow way. But there is a HUGE difference between checking off minorities off the list like they are pokemon and putting in effort to make them believable. I cannot judge how well you represent different cultures, but I see that you care about it.
And let me tell you, my knowledge about Philippines is very limited. It's not a country that's present in mainstream media, really. It's kind of the reason why your growing together series is soooo interesing and endearing to me, because you speak about your roots with so much love, and it's clear you didn't just add this ethnicity to your gameplay for brownie points with your subcribers or to make your sims different or whatever. And i love it.
Not saying you cannot just make a black sim that lives a life of a very white suburban American, but it just feels different.
Also, the gameplay kinda vibes with me, because Polish people emigrate a lot in Europe, like everyone knows someone who knows what it's like to move somewhere where you don't know anyone and start from scratch. So maybe that's also that.

Sorry for such a long comment, but i really like your content and your thoughts, and i often find myself thinking about stuff after watching these "silly sims videos" as if they were 2h video essays haha.

Speaking on the diversity, they really mustn't have watched ANY video of yours. But why even comment that to begin with?? Some people just don't do/have diversity in their content, and that goes for anything! Sims, art, etc. Forced diversity never feels right, it never feels authentic. Like you said the "token black kid" in movies or any other forms of media is just... wack 😑. Ofc we want more diversity (as a queer POC myself) but ppl are gonna draw, create, or play as who they want to. Lets encourage diversity, not force it. Or hell, lets create/show the diversity ourselves 😤👌!!

Awwwwuh!!! I use this apartment for my Yanobi save! I love seeing the way others redesign it!! Also I'm really diverse in my gameplay too Osin, i loved the ramona series & the Bahndari's (probably spelled that wrong) & i DO LOVE the growing together family as well as Lovesick. I have a hawaiian save, biracial marriages, most of my black sims have Nigerian backgrounds & names. So whoever said that doesnt watch your content.
