  • Going to Spain? Fancy a hair-raising adventure on the side of a mountain? You simply can't leave the Caminito Del Rey off of your itinerary. Located an hour from Malaga, this unique adventure will have you questioning the brilliance of human advances in engineering, whilst revelling in the beauty of nature.
We discuss how and when to buy tickets, where to stay and what it's like on guided hike of this incredible path. I ask my guide if it's truly the most dangerous hike in the world! What does he say? 😉
We also show you a tour of La Garganta Hotel (La Garganta Restaurante, Hotel y Turismo Activo), a gorgeous cliffside retreat where we stayed ahead of our tour. This is the hotel that most Caminito Del Rey tours depart from and drop guests back to, which makes it very convenient both before and after the hike... think of that well earned beer after a long climb!
Thanks to ‪@mstarling79‬ for his incredible capture of the gorge and bridge in difficult weather conditions, with minimal gear. (There are limitations on the cameras you can bring on this hike). This is a raw and rustic capture of our incredible experience!

13:00 Impossible. Alfonso VIII King of Castile lived from 1155 until 1214 (was the victor of the Navas de Tolosa Battle against the Almohads and by the way his wife was sister of Richard the Lion Heart of England), the King who lived when this "Camino del Rey" was built was Alfonso XIII (1886-1941), a "little bit later" of Alfonso VIII 🙃

Oops, you are right! Sorry I should have said Alfonso XIII not Alfonso VIII! Thank you for correcting!

Hi, I am planning to visit Caminito, but wanted to check which tour agency did you use for the caminito? Thanks.

Hi! I booked through Get Your Guide, and the tour was called ‘El Chorro: Caminito del Rey Guided Tour with Shuttle Bus’.
Hope you have a wonderful time!!

Hello, I am planning to hike Caminito del Rey in early January. Does your ticket bought from tour agency included everything such as entrance ticket, shuttle bus from/to hotel etc? What month was your trip ? Thanks.

Hi! Wow, amazing! Hope you have an incredible time! It's simply amazing. Yes, the ticket we bought from our tour agency included entry and transfers from the lobby of La Garganta Hotel (which is why we decided to stay there). We visited in June. Hope this helps!
