The reason the eggs in the US are kept in the refrigerator is because they are washed half to death with chemicals coz people there won't buy eggs with "dirt" on them and this strips their natural coating that stays in place after the egg is laid and thus reducing their shelf life. In Kenya and most of Africa, we leave the eggs in their natural state and thus can last longer without the need refrigeration.

If you're staying for long, unfurnished is way cheaper than furnished. You can get unfurnished in Westlands for $500 a month or less. The cost of furnishing could be surprisingly reasonable. Miss Rwanda looks like a good bet. Smiley women tend to have a good heart and vice versa.

When you go to a particular country, you want to experience their culture, not American culture within that country. That is how I was when I went to Japan. I wanted to experience their culture, not American culture within it. They do play a lot of American songs in Japan. I'm not sure about now, but at least back when I went there.

Shopping tip. Avoid imports. They're taxed to death. Imported ice cream costs 10X local ice cream and they taste the same. Most top brands at the supermarket like Coca Cola have local plants so they're very affordable. Avoid vendors who don't display their prices. They do that to see how much they can fleece you based on your accent and demeanour. For example, my niece's Australian boyfriend was quoted for KSh 3,500 for a boat ride. My younger sister was quoted for KSh 800 while my wife was quoted for KSh 500. Same boat, same captain.

My main reason for leaving America is because I don’t care for what the culture has turned into. I don’t need or want America in Africa. I enjoy being in African communities and being immersed in the music, language and food. Globalization is happening like you said- I hope Africa always keeps their sense of community and warmth.

In Gambia and Senegal you will mostly hear Senegambian music and other Afro beats in clubs. You rarely hear American music unless it's old R and B.
Same un Congo. Well y know how we love our own music so it's congolese music first. Amapiano and afro beat, zouk and kompa, salsa and last 90s r&b and rap. And again they will put just a couple of the last one.
Local clubs play kenyan traditional music and bongo mostly all these high end clubs are the ones playing those songs
