Italian Micro-mosaic Brooch (1970s)

  • This nice micro-mosaic brooch was likely made in Murano, Italy, and it's certainly a vintage piece. Unfortunately, it has bronze disease, meaning the metal is liable to decompose no matter what! It'll be going back to the thrift store.

    I have one of these from the 1920’s. It’s gorgeous, and has become my favorite jewelry type aside from cameos.

    It's a beautiful brooch! Even if it won't last forever (what does anyway?), someone will love it for its beauty and history.
